He told me about all the stuff that was wrong with the doors and door openers (sagging chains, loose springs etc.), but then he just oiled the rollers on one door and left without doing any "tune-up".

High pressure. I agreed to the upgrade and replacement of parts. The garage door worked better BEFORE the service.

He did fine. He did just what he said, but I don't think it was worth what he did. He just changed the wheels and then sprayed some stuff on it. It didn't seem like it was worth the $99. It was fine. He came out on time. Since I called them, they came out within a few days and he was a very nice person. I could make an appointment very easily.

They did the garage door tune-up. It went fine, but they tried to sell me additional items.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It went really well. He actually showed up a couple of minutes earlier than I thought which was nice. The whole service was just less than 30 minutes. He was great. Very courteous. It was a very good deal.

I was having trouble with my garage door opener and I went to their website and it said no service fee and free estimates. When the technition arrived he said I needed a new garage door opener and his quote was $100 more than two quotes for the same opener I received from over the phone from two other places. I told him was not interested and he became agitated and gave me a bill for a $55 service fee and I told him what the website said and he said it was wrong. I refused to pay the fee and he left the bill. I called the main office and they said that the website does not say free estimates and no service fee so I had pay the bill. I then had her go to their web page and I talked her thru where it said that there was no service call and free estimates so she said they would delete the bill and fix the website.

It did not require anything substantial but they were very honest with their appraisal of it. Unlike many people who offer to do the tune ups and find out many things wrong with it automatically. I was quite impressed with their honesty and with their service.

I thought he was punctual, but I thought he kind of pushed the up sale a little more than I wanted.

I had bought a big deal for Precision Garage Door Service and I ended up paying more because the garage door needed much more work. They came out pretty quickly.

We were having second thoughts and they threatened us to get the garage door they had. Then the installer melted the cord by installing it with the light bulb. They also didn't leave us the warranty card or the manual. They even lied about the rollers they installed . The garage door didn't work and they had to come back out again to repair it. They won't even talk to me anymore to try to resolve this.

The guy comes out, looks at the door (unfortunately, I was at work and had my mother at the house for the repair). They call me and tell me that the "spring line" is broken and it will cost $799 to fix it. After I question the price, he says he could offer some discounts and apply the coupon for the tune up to get it at $699. I did a quick internet search and saw that spring replacement is typically $150. I call (based on friends referrals) two other garage door companies. Based on my explanation of what I was told was wrong, both companies noted I had a "Wayne Dalton" system, and they could replace the spring for $399 or I could call Wayne Dalton and they would charge me $299. I told the guy from Precision that I did not want him to do the repairs. Later I find out that he would not leave the house until he was paid $55 for a "service call". He also never even bothered to do the work from the coupon that I had, which was the reason for the work in the first place. I am still waiting to hear back from the manager after I called to complain and get my $55 back. One of the (if not the) worst experiences I have had with a repair company.

The company is misleading and there is no reson to deal with them since there are a lot of competitors in this field, do not be drawn in by their coupon trick......The technician came in and in 2 minutes says springs are broken that will be $700 , I said it is kind of high I will think about it, he says give me $55 service charge. I gave him coupon says see fine print. anyway I call 3 competitor same spring replacement is $300 from everyone else with no service charge........

PRECISION GARAGE DOOR SERVICE was very knowledgeable and good. I would call them again.

technician did not show pricing until repair was completed. I.asked technician about angies list or senior citizen discount and he said it's only 10% but he was already waving the service fee which was more value. at 2pm I phoned the company office manager who gave his name as Mr. Frank Hoffman, and brought the details to his attention..he said the service fee is normally waived, which made me wonder about the avoidance of the angies list discount in addition to that. the manager said all personnel are highly trained " virtually PhD's in garage door repair ".. and required to present the estimate before work is performed - and that admittedly is a problem in this case. and the manager said parts prices do vary and that one of the plastic parts used was very rare and unobtainable. and how fortunate I was that the technician just happened to have one on his truck ...but he would immediately discuss the matter with first the technician and then the owner of the company (his employer) and get back to me regarding any correction to the billing. it is now 4pm and the manager just called and made clear that the company was very concerned about it's reputation and while the technician was an expert and did everything perfectly there will now be a $50.00 adjustment to the billing because of the failure to inform the customer of the cost before work was done. he went on to say," it's not fair to "blackmail" a company by threatenting to post a narrative on angies list ." and that's the truth. .

I had previously used Precision Door Service on my primary home, and was completely satisfied. Therefore, when the garage door on our "rental home" broke, it was right back to PRECISION. As a landlord, I want to provide the best experience and response to my tenants. Called Precision, I met them there the next day, received the estimate and recommendations. Brendan, the Tech answered all my questions and gave options before making my decision. When tenants are paying to have "all parts operating", I want to ensure this will not happen again for a while. Brendan completed the work quickly, ensured everything operated smoothly, reviewed the "warranty" with me and was gone.

Tech on time, very knowledge. Did try to sell us a lot of extra services but there was no pressure to buy anything we did not want. Repairs made to out satisfaction. I would use this company again.

Lubricated door and track eliminating squeaks. Made suggestion on additional work that we had done later in the year after one of the springs they indicated needed replacement failed..

It went great. As stated above paid Angie's list for lube and chain check but found the structure of the single car garage need reinforcing. Did an excellent job with quality materials and fair price

The shaft on my old garage door opener motor broke at 2pm. I went on Angie's List and found Precision Doors and a discount coupon for their services. I called them at 2:11pm and was professionally attended to. The young lady mentioned that the technician would call as soon as possible about his ETA at our home. At 2:23pm, the tech (Bob) called to say he would arrive within 30 minutes. He arriveda little less than 30 minutes later. He analyzed the situation, gave me his recommendations and a price. After I approved the work, he completed the work by 4:20pm. He set my keypad, set my Hyundai Homelink (to open the door from the button on my rear view mirror), explained the functions of the door and remotes, asked me if I had any questions, and got on his way. He was friendly, professional, and went above and beyond to be helpful. He discounted the standard trip fee to reduce the overall price. The door works better than ever. In 2 1/2 hours we went from having a non-operational door to having an operational door that is significantly better than what we had.

It went very well. His service, demeanour, attitude, behaviour, everything, he was really nice. He made suggestions as to what we might be needing in the future. The quality of the work was very good. He answered all my questions.

It went as expected. He informed me of a few issues that could be fixed down the road.

They seem to do a good job with it at the time. I was having difficulty with the door--it was squeaky and also jerky when opening and closing. I don't know how to describe what they did to it but it seem to work much better when they finished. Unfortunately I am again having difficulty with the door--it refuses to open at all so I will need to have it serviced again. i will not call them to come back but will call the actual company where I bought the opener instead.

Precision Garage Door Service looked at the whole situation, evaluated it, and let me know what was needed. They were able to perform the service right then. I didn't need to make another appointment with them. Their price, quality, and professionalism are excellent.

There are very good at what they do. They stand by their work, and make sure you understand what work will be completed. Check for coupons and a senior discount prior to their arrival. They need to know this prior to starting the repair. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!
