Better Than New Kitchens

We had a wonderful experience with Dan Oldejans and Better Than New Kitchens. Every aspect of working with this company was fabulous. Dan was very responsive to our request for an estimate, even giving us a very close ballpark estimate by sending him pictures of our kitchen. He came out and make suggestions that I had never even considered that make the outcome even better. He has an artist's eye for color and we love the wood we picked along with the style of the cabinets. The price was very goodHe was always on time and his crew was wonderful. They were fun to work with, very neat and the work was very professional. We love our kitchen and so does everyone who sees the work. We cannot recommend is company more highly. You will be happy you do business with them!

Excellent job. We have used Better than New on a previous kitchen job. This one involved a complete rebuild of the kitchen island. We were gone for the summer. I dealt with Dan over the phone. Because of the previous excellent work, I had no trepidation about being gone while they did the work. It was very well done! No problems and we would continue to use their services as needed. You get what you pay for.

We had our kitchen refaced last year and we are so happy that we chose Better Than New to do our kitchen, they did a beautiful job took little time, were very professional and showed up on time we are very happy with the end result. I would like recommend them and would use them again!!

The job was done on time. The materials are top notch. The workspace was clean. We love the end result and have received many compliments on the upgrade.

This company is fabulous to deal with. Honest, job cost exactly as quoted. Went out of their way to make sure that we got exactly what we wanted. When it came time for the project to start the crew was here at the time they said they would be, everyone was very nice. The crew worked 3 days on our kitchen and when they left you would never have known that there was major work done in our kitchen. Dan and his crew left the kitchen cleaner than it was when they got here. Their product is amazing and we are very happy!!

we found a style and color we liked at Lowes. Dan brought his numerous samples and we found a one similar to the one we liked. They order them from a mill in Oregon and then cut and stain all the other little facing pieces in their shop. Super attention to detail! Superb craftsmanship. Came on time, very organized and professional. Love the final result and refacing takes only three days. Better than ripping out all the old cabinets entirely. I would highly recommend this company.

It looks great. They take their time to make it perfect and it is always worth it as they do a beautiful job!

My dog was having some issues and he scratched up a number of solid wood doors as well as chewed some of the door frame. I contacted Dan and he was very responsive. He asked for me to send him some pictures. I did, and he immediately responded with a quote. He showed up during the agreed to window. He was in and out in about an hour and his work was unbelievable. Even if I told you that the door was chewed and scratched and asked you to look at it with a magnifying glass, you couldn't tell. His work is unbelievable. He is a true craftsman. I would definitely use his services again. A+++++

The water damage is almost invisible now. They hand painted the water damage spots on all 23 cabinet doors. They finished the work as promised and in the time they gave me. I highly recommend them for any cabinet/furniture repair or refacing.

OMG, truly, when you see the work that Dan does you simply won't believe it. I was skeptical at first. My fiancée had a Copenhagen bedroom set that was a few years old and when he purchase it he failed to buy the bedframe. Because of this his headboard simply sat against the wall and on both sides of the bed there were four holes for where the bedframe was supposed to go. I didn't realize this until we put it in my home. So for me it was a very unfinished look. We went to Copenhagen wanting to purchase the bedframe and was told that they no longer made that particular set. Then I got bummed. In my home the holes were very visible because the room is flooded with light and I knew it was going to bother me. I asked Copenhagen if they had the name of someone they could recommend that possibly could help fix the problem. They referred me to Dan at Better Than New. Even then I still didn't have much hope. Dan was very professional right from the first interaction, which I truly appreciated. I took a look at his website and saw the quality of work that he did but still, matching that high gloss finish which is a signature look for Copenhagen furniture, I felt, was going to be pretty darn hard and I'm pretty darn picky. But man, did I luck out. When I saw the quality of the repair my mouth fell open. I just couldn't believe it. I mean I'm looking for the holes and I can't find them and I've got bright sun beaming in the room and on the furniture and I'm telling you it was like magic - the holes were gone and the paint was PERFECTLY matched. And then Dan and I started talking. I understand now why he's doing this work but you really need to understand what a gifted, true artist this man is in his own right. His art work will amaze you and his story will fascinate!. All in all, this was one of the most pleasant, rewarding and satisfying repair situations I've ever experienced in my entire life. I feel completely comfortable when I tell you, "Just hire this man, he's a true talent and very, very reasonably priced". I'm thinking that you will feel as pleased and lucky as I did to find someone so talented to work with!

Our contact was with Dan, but both owners worked on our furniture. We had a lot of items that needed work and had been in the family. We wouldn't trust just anyone with our furniture. Visit their website and you can see the quality work they do. We are so pleased with their work. We weren't certain about which fabric to choose and they helped with that also. Other places had said they couldn't do anything about the warped area of the extensions of our dining room table, but Better Than New came to a solution that worked. It is so great to sit at our table now. The price is fair, the work is high quality, and working with them was fun! No stress at all. We have more furniture to repair and we are definitely going back. 5 Stars! Thanks!

Better Than New did an amazing job refacing our kitchen cabinets. We had remodeled the kitchen but had the cabinets painted and they did not turn out well. We did not want to rip out out granite counter tops so we decided to reface the cabinets. I called a few companies but I found Dan to be very responsive. Their price seemed to be in the middle based on the preliminary quotes I received...all companies had a different way of doing the refacing so it was a little tough to compare. I think the price seems fair for the quality of the work performed. I feel that our cabinets turned out great!
