Description of Work: We first used them for a runner that had a wine stain. They faded the rug and the stain remained but we were told the wine was too difficult to remove and the rug had to be cleaned so many times, fading resulted. We decided to try them again. BIG MISTAKE. | |We have them a 2yr. old rug with little traffic but needed cleaning. They returned it DIRTIER THAN BEFORE and claimed in order not to fade the rug, that was the result. Terrible.

Hi [Member Name Removed], sorry to hear about your experience with our company, as mentioned by you your first rug had wine stain, we explained to you that we'd do our best to remove the stain with no guarantees, you signed our immunity disclaimer that we'd not be responsible for any color changes. We had to wash your rug several time to remove most of the stain and that resulted in some fading. You brought your 2nd rug which did not have any stains and could have easily gone through our normal wash without fading but you were very worried about fading and we decided to do a light wash instead, but the result wasn't satisfactory to either one of us, we decided not to charge you for our work (not mentioned in your review). At this time we're willing to run your 2nd rug through our normal wash to clean it to both our satisfactions (no guarantees on any fading). We have been cleaning area rugs for 66 years with almost 100% customer satisfaction and we'd like to keep it that way. Ed Momeni, owner

Description of Work: We decided we needed a 9 x 12 area rug for our dining room and since we had already purchased 2 other rugs from Arizona Rug Company that's where we went this time too. We put a dining room chair in our SUV to take into the store to help with matching colors which really helped. The owner and employee's are wonderful to work with, no pressure to buy, very helpful and patient during the selection process. Arizona Rug Company is 10+ in all area's. They even brought the rug that was the possible choice to our home, laid it out in the dining room so we could live with it for a few days. The rug was perfect, no doubts. They then came back out and put the pad down, rug on top, adjusting until it perfect. They then helped my husband put the table and chairs back where they belonged.

Description of Work: For a "geographically" |captured market they were acceptable, not good,not great,not terrible...just okay. And for me personally, |they were very disappointing. This is why I really resisted answering your request |for a review. They are, |from my investigation, the only game in town. I would rather have brought the rug back to |California, and had reputables I know clean my daughter''s rug. It |Was an area rug purchased at Crate & |Barrel. My daughter could have had a new wool rug for the price of cleaning. The particulars I would share with you, which I |am certain would help any other referrals you |might want to.pass along, but I really dislike doing this kind |of thing. Just as a quick example...they went for no charge pickup, and delivery, to |charging me unless they |could pickup 2 to 3 more |rugs, putting new backing on each, cleaning and a third thing I don'the recall at the moment. These |would have been $1800.00 |to $2000.00. They are |100% wool handmade Chinese rugs, and silk |Persian and handmade wool |rugs. I have quite a few |hand made rugs throughout my homes in |California, and grew up |with up their beauty |decorating our home. |The rugs they wanted to |put backing on, have never had backing. One |would use a sized netted |piece that keeps the rug |in place and prevents |slips and falls. | | |

Hi [Member name removed], I'm Ed Momeni the owner of Arizona Rug Company, I am sorry to read your comment, and just to clarify a few things - our Angieslist offer includes free pickup for rugs 8x11 and larger, your rug was 8x10 and we still picked it up free of charge. - we have no conditions for buying any "rug pads" to qualify free pickup, we only offer pads in case a customer needs them, most likely there was a misunderstanding for you to get such wrong impression. - we have same charges for our cleaning regardless of what your rug originally cost you, we have no control over this matter, we apply the same care and attention to all our customers rugs without knowing what such rugs cost, you were quoted our charge and you had a choice to accept or refuse, obviously you had chosen to accept before cleaning was done. - fortunately you are not complaining about the fine quality of our cleaning and our staff performance and we're grateful for that. - unlike what you've mentioned we are not the only game in town but over 70,000 Arizona rug customers have happily chosen Arizona Rug Company for their rug needs, there are at least 5 other companies providing rug cleaning in Phoenix. - [Member name removed], as you can notice yours is the only complain among the many reviews we have received from many Angieslist and other directories, I'd appreciate it if you could thoroughly reevaluate your review for any misunderstandings and revise, but if you're still not satisfied with my clarifications please feel free to phone me on my direct line 480-797-0000 so we both can understand better what exactly your complain is about.
