They were fine

We did have an issue in that we were told the bamboo would take 3-5 days to come in but it took several weeks. however once I called to check on it they were calling the company to find out what the issue was. Ben, the salesman, followed up to make sure we were in the loop in terms of the delivery date. Once the bamboo arrived we were scheduled an installation date. The installer was very organized, professional and did a wonderful job putting the flooring in. He had to do extra work leveling the concrete underneath as there were some cracks and dips in the floor. He cleaned up everything--even washing the floor down when he was done! I would definitely use this company again!

They have a super selection and the customer service was phenomenal. There was a problem with one of the planks and they paid to have it replaced. They were really good.

Carpet removal personnel showed up on time, worked quickly and left all materials on patio for pick up by another truck the next day. Clean up was satisfactory. Two days later, grinding man came in, took four hours at $120 per hour to level the concrete across numerous cracks. Salesman Randy Price told us to expect that as 75% of homes need grinding. This job raised considerable dust which we are still cleaning two weeks later (unavoidable even though it was a wet grind process). Wood flooring install commenced the following Monday, with three men. They were very courteous, considerate of what they were doing, did a professional job. Completed the entire job (700 square feet) in one day and did a nice clean up. Once again, the trash was left on the patio and picked up the next day.

SAL AT THE GILBERT SHOWROOM WAS KNOWLEDGEABLE ABOUT ALL THINGS HARDWOOD. WE WERE IN THE MARKET FOR BAMBOO FLOORING (AHFS IS ONE OF FEW PLACES THAT CARRY IT), BUT SAL SHOWED US THIS MORE BEAUTIFUL (AND FAR CHEAPER!) FLOORING THAT WE BOUGHT. THE CONTRACT HAD TO BE REWRITTEN TWICE, THOUGH, BECAUSE HE MISCALCULATED MEASUREMENTS. OUR INSTALLER, TUKA, WAS 30-60 MINUTES LATE EACH DAY, BUT HE MADE UP FOR IT WITH HIS WORK. I WAS WORRIED AT FIRST BECAUSE HE RECOMMENDED AGAINST SOME THINGS WRITTEN IN OUR CONTRACT, BUT HE WAS RIGHT ABOUT MOST OF IT AND OBLIGED WHEN WE DISAGREED WITH HIM. HE WAS SUPER FAST AND WOULD HAVE EASILY FINISHED THE JOB IN 2 DAYS IF HE HADN'T RUN OUT OF MATERIAL (ONLY 35 FT TO GO!). WE WERE ANNOYED TO WAIT 4 DAYS FOR THOSE LAST FEW FEET, BUT MORE UPSET THAT OUR TOILET SAT WAITING TO BE REINSTALLED THAT LONG. I ULTIMATELY HAD TO HIRE A PLUMBER MYSELF AND BE REIMBURSED. THE FLOOR IS BEAUTIFUL, BUT WE WISH SOMEBODY HAD TOLD US HOW EASILY THE FLOOR GETS SCRATCHED.

PRETTY GOOD COMPANY, BUT IT DEPENDS ON WHO YOU GET AS A WORKER. OWNERS KNOW A LOT ABOUT WOOD FLOORS.

EXCELLENT SERVICE, KNOWLEDGEABLE SALES STAFF. SUPERIOR INSTALLATION -- GREAT CARE WAS TAKEN TO DO A TERRIFIC JOB. NOT THE CHEAPEST AROUND, BUT QUALITY ALL THE WAY.

THE WORK WAS FINE, BUT WE HAD ONE ITEM THAT NEEDED A TOUCH UP. I TRIED TO GET AN ESTIMATE FOR THE REST OF THE HOUSE, BUT THE GUY LOST THE MEASUREMENTS, SO I NEVER FOLLOWED UP.
