John takes great pride in both his customer service and the quality of his work. I was a little skeptical at first because John IS American Roof Repair. During the free estimate, he explained that he does everything himself. With many contractors, that can mean trouble. But John was so prompt in his response, thorough in his explanation of the damage and needed repair, and precise in his scheduling -- it is clear why he gets so many rave reviews. Simply put, the buck stops with John. He found several cracked tiles on the roof, went across town to find the tiles that matched best (fit and color), and did the repairs exactly when stated. In the course of the repair, several additional brittle tiles broke (no fault of John). This required another trip across town for tiles and a fourth visit to our roof -- another half day of work that was not in the budget. John was more than fair when he offered to do the additional work simply for the cost of the extra tile -- with no additional labor fee. Overall, we were very impressed with John's work, his communication and his commitment to great customer service. Highly recommended.

John was extremely quick to come out and provide an estimate that was detailed and extremely reasonable (definitely very competitive pricing compared to some other quotes). Point out the things that needed to be done now and those that could wait until later. I really appreciated that he focused on the key items and didn't try to quasi redo my entire rools (as others did). The work was done ina timely fashion and he kepts fully updated on progress and what exactly was happening. At the same time he gave some great advice on what to pay attention on going forward to keep our roof in good shape. We are definitely planning to continue using his services.

I was working with John on the phone from my house in Seattle; this work was performed at a house I just bought in Tempe, AZ. I'd called John before closing to give me a bid on a roof repair and he agreed to do that even tho' I didn't yet own the house and there was really no guarantee I would. John also spent time to explain about foam roofs because I'd never had one before. John said the roof needed some repair and a re-coating, but was in pretty good shape and gave me a ballpark range of what a repair/re-coat would cost. I also got two other bids from Angie's list companies and was quite shocked to have one bid say the flat roof was ok, but the tile roof had to be rebuilt. The other bid said the tile roof was ok, but the flat roof really needed to be rebuilt. Both were nearly triple John's estimate. I was impressed by John's knowledge each time I spoke with him and I believed he was giving me an honest down-to-earth assessment of the roof. Needless to say, after we closed I asked John to perform the work. John again impressed me when his final bid came in at the bottom of his initial ballpark range and he was able to schedule me in quickly in response to our worries about having a good roof before the monsoons started. He also recommended that we apply 'sure coat' a heavy duty waterproofer to the areas around the scuppers because there were so few scuppers and there was obviously some pooling going on. This wasn't covered by his initial bid, and he was very clear about why I might or might not want to do it. Since we intend to keep the house long-term, we decided to go ahead with it. The additional cost was very reasonable and not much more than his cost. John also provided me with daily progress updates which was very reassuring since I wasn't there at the house. The temperatures were over 106 degrees during the day so he had to do all the work in the morning. During the job, I think he did end up having to do more repairs than expected due to poor roof maintenance in the past. He always kept me informed and made sure I was in agreement with his planned course of action. In the end he honored his bid price and we have an excellent quality roof for a very affordable price. When I was able to visit the house a week later, he came over and did a walk through with me and I had an opportunity to admire his work. John takes pride in his craft and it shows. I intend to use John again (I signed up for annual maintenance checks), and I cannot recommend him highly enough as an honest person who cares about delivering a quality product. We feel fortunate to have found him to fix our roof.

I am extremely pleased with the service I received from John and American Roof Repair - AZ. John again explained the detail of the repairs and showed me the work he completed. He has pride in his work and it clearly shows. I would use American Roof Repair - AZ again. In fact, I agreed with John to have him inspect my roof annually. I would recommend him to my friends and family.

John came out the very next day after I called to do the quote for me, and after I had decided to use his services he had me scheduled in right away. he finished the whole job in a couple of days and then even took me onto the roof to show me the finished product!John is very willing to explain everything to the non roofer so you can understand it and is very conscious of finances and so you know you are getting the best possible price. He takes an obvious pride in his work and that counts for a lot in my book!

John answered the call when I first contacted him. We set a date for him to give me an estimate. He came as scheduled. He did a thorough review of the roof (not just where a few tiles were missing.) He went to the "bone yard" and got perfectly matching tiles to replace all the ones which were broken - which was more than we originally thought. He let me know when he was coming to fix the roof with the new tiles. He called the night before to confirm, and then he came when promised. While John was working he realized he needed more tiles. He did not charge us for the time he took to go get more tiles (only the cost of the additional tiles.) The roof looks great. John also notified us of another potential problem with the roof. He spent a lot of time explaining how a roof is constructed and why the problem exists and the options we could undertake to fix. John was very thorough and professional.

John came out on the day that I called him and replaced our roof tiles at a very reasonable cost.. He first did and inspection and told us exactly what needed to be done. Given the amount of work I expected this to cost a lot more than it did. He must have been at the house for about three hours today. A pleasant experience and I would use this company again.

He was professional and punctuation. John responded and repaired the roof. He was only contractor who wanted to fix roof others wanted to reroof. He also helped with overall preventive maintenance and was very friendly and informative.

John did excellent job and I will use him in the future.

Called John Loker and he showed up on time for the estimating appointment. He completed the work within the next week at a very fair price. I would definitely recommend John and American Roof Repair
