I thought I was contacting a local company, but I was actually contacting a company in Florida that charges extremely high rates & then contracts out your service to a national company, keeping the profits. I was originally quoted $364 per quarter for garbage & recycling service by Arwood Waste. When I asked if they had smaller cans or less frequent service, I was given a "discount rate" of $188 per quarter. When I got my initial email it stated that I had agreed to a 3 year contract (which no one on the phone had told me)! My cans & pickup service were actually provided by WM. When I contacted WM directly their rates were much, MUCH cheaper than even the "discount rate" I was given by Arwood Waste. Also, my address showed to WM as an individual account under the name of "Tiffany." That is not my name & no one with that name lives in this house. Skip Arwood Waste & contact the actual provider directly to save a ton of money."
