Dalton's provided excellent service. They demonstrated expertise in installing the system in a home that has been added onto at least two times. It presently consists of two stories and in my opinion, needed someone who was knowledgeable and creative. I have only used the heat at this time but believe if there are any problems with the air, Dalton's will be responsive to helping me out. Their price was similar to another business in the area, however, that business did not respond to questions and estimate in a timely manner. (But eventually did)

had numerous issues with the forced air system including a cracked heat exchanger, which was determined by another company that did an inspection and was supposed to a routine service. I notified our home warranty company and the company called in Dalton AC to check out the system and perform a RR. The unit was inspected and he spoke our home protection insurance. Certain Items, such as broken duct work were not covered, therefore, I paid our of pocket to have all the duct work replaced with R-8 in leiu of the 4.2 and 6 that was in the attic so that I would get top efficiency from the system. It took 2-3 days for the work to be completed and this included the weekend. I had another company come in for service on my AC and they found the following problems and that I had been defrauded because not all the ducts were changed to R-8. But I was charged. Main alum flex tube has inside attached but not outside. This flex tube is R-4.2 and not R-8, which I paid extra for. In addition, it is kinked. Seal coming off evaporator and furnace. Two to three bath vent alum-tubes are crushed and totally compromised. Banduets missing off numerous connections of ducts and tubing. The contract stated that all ducting would be replaced with new R-8, which I paid an extra $300. Yet only 45% was replaced Some ducts that were new and were replaced with R-6. Pinched alum-flex on supply line into furnace. Take-off distributer can is broken and crushed and duct work is not connected properly. There were many broken connections exhausting the heat or AC into the attic instead of directing them properly to the registers. One flex-line was never properly cut and is so long it makes two to three S- Curves around the attic before attaching to the register. This results in a loss of efficiency. Water drain pan not properly positioned according to code. The attic was littered with garbage, old bags, and containers that were never removed by the installers. Attic hatches in MB closet were broken, black scuffed, and trim in garage is falling. This was done by the installers and never restored to any resemblance of the previous condition. This is only a partial list there are probably more items that need to be corrected. Addendum to Review The owner, Jonathan Dalton, came back and personally inspected and evaluated what his crew had done in our attic. He agreed that the complaint was correct. He then supervised his crew going back up into the attic and corrected all the problems including cleaning up the trash. He was very gracious and professional and told us that if any hint of trouble with the forced air system in the future that he would return and repair it. Because of this incident was not directly his fault and because he has made amends, I am changing our review and rating.

After a 2 hour drive fromj the valley I arrived at the cabin at 8:30 AM and opened up the crawl space access and layed out some plastic under the deck due to the spring thaw and wet ground. At 9:25 i ended up calling Jon and he said he was running late and would be there around 10:00 to 10:15. He finally arrived at 10:30 and informed me that some unexpected family matters had caused his delay. I mentioned that I understood, but would have appreciated a quick phone call with an update. He agreed, apologized, and was very polite. Jon was quick to troubleshoot the problem and found the flat surface ignitor was inoperative. Fortunately he had one on his truck and was able to replace the ignitor and have the furnace working in a short period of time. All function of the furnace checked out with no problems. Jon was very knowledgeable and i was glad to see the furnace up and running for the weekend. I would reccomend Jon and use him again. He did give me an Angie's list discount on the bill. Thanks Jon for responding and taking care of the problem.

They didnt seem much interested in energy saving models, but their price was far better than other bids. While they have been very responsive, when they installed the heat pump, they did it such that rainwater came through the roof into our closet. They 'fixed' it but it happened at the next rain. They also put in the wrong thermostat at first. The owner gave us his home number and was quite responsive and gave us no push-back when we asked that they reinstall the unit. He was willing to rip out the sheetrock but I don't think that will be necessary. We will see what happens at the next rain. I would still encourage people to consider Dalton but watch them like a hawk if you ask them to install anything but the vanilla model they are used to installing.
