+ -1 moreIt went very well. He's very knowledgeable about plants - natural plants for this area. He can look at a big space and figure out how to create smaller spaces, which 3 other landscapers we consulted couldn't do, and he has 30 years of experience. One stag was that his design was estimated at double our stated budget; however, he made the necessary revisions at no additional cost so that we were eventually within approx. 17% of our budget, which we can deal with although this is the reason for the B grade. He also manufactured from scratch a VERY beautiful metal wind barrier and installed it himself. Steve has a wonderful personality, is easy-going, punctual, and fun to work with. We've greatly enjoyed getting to know him and would definitely call on him again in the future, and highly recommend him. Updated post design implementation: I wanted to write an update after seeing Steve's design come to life in our yard. We are absolutely thrilled with the end result. Steve knew what to recommend in the design in order for us to be happy with the end result, in a very inhospitable environment, and he was dead on the target. We ended up being able to afford all of the plants so very little of Steve's design was not implemented. Shame on us for asking Steve to revise the drawing when it ended up not being necessary but he willingly revised it without added charges. We are very grateful that Steve was able to design something for this terrible yard, and we can't thank him enough. We just love his design as implemented by Vicente Landscaping. We also love the metal wind barrier he made for us, and we're anxious to see another one we just ordered that has stained glass in it!! He's a great landscape architect and metal worker both.
Description of Work: He is a landscape architect. He drew up plans for landscaping our new home. We have a big yard and it's really ugly so this was no small feat to draw plans with a $20K budget in mind.

+ -1 moreIt has gone very well so far. I am doing the work in 3 phases. So far every thing has gone very smoothly.
Description of Work: Steve and his wife Nicole, created a landscape design of my entire yard. This includes shade structures, passive water reclamation, treating drainage issues, rock walls and flagstone stairs and plants. The design is beautiful, detailed and comprehensive. Steve listens and communicates well, and is very attentive to detail. They spent time looking at the views out each of my windows in order to place plants correctly. I am very pleased.
