Responded quickly

Installed fan that I purchased at big box store, not very expensive. Fan works, no wobbles, but does have an annoying hum that is so loud at night I can't sleep. S & M Electric came back out very quickly, but said it was the fan motor that was causing the noise, and that was not fixable unless the fan was replaced. I am learning to live with the hum.

I had a portable generator transfer switch installed and can't really say at this point if every is perfect.

I had a lighted medicine cabinet installed. He had to pull power from the ceiling. The job was done the day before the date scheduled by a phone call asking if they could come in 30 mins. Lucky I was home. Installer was informative and did a good job. I signed up for the $9.99 a month plan to see what it can save us in the future.

They were prompt and courteous. They set the appointment and were on time and they stuck with the estimate

I needed a wall charger installed for my electric vehicle. I had a quote from another electrician of $1,850. That's for a 60 amp breaker and 80' of #6 wire. The cost of the wire and the breaker is about $500. The job would take about 1 hour. So the labor charge would be $1,350 for 1 hour of work, to install the breaker, run some wire, and mount the charger on the wall. Makes no sense. S&M charged just over $1,000 parts and labor. That's reasonable. Dylan and his helper were both friendly and knowledgeable. They finished the job in less than an hour. The charger works perfectly. Nice guys. Done right the first time. Fast work. And almost 1/2 the cost of a competitor. These are now my Go To guys for all things electric.

When testing Christmas lights I realized that the outdoor outlets, which had worked fine three days before, was inop. Having used and been happy with S&M and their technician Chris before, I called their office again. Stephanie had to put me on a "will call" list due to the fact that they had no immediate openings. To my great joy, a cancellation appeared within two hours and Cameron and Cody were dispatched to our home. The cause and solution were not simple; but these professionals kept at their investigations and found and repaired the quite serious problem. While they were here we decided to install a full house surge protector, as well. The cost, we feel, is well worth the benefit and are relieved to have had the work done by this company.
