Description of Work: We had them years ago and they fixed the job done poorly by Prescott Roofing (no longer in business). The chimney area needed caulking/repair, as well as other areas that leaked during the last big monsoon storm. The service was prompt - especially for this time of year! So far we have had no further leaking. Dominick spent a lot of time carefully going over the entire roof, and I couldn't be more pleased!

Description of Work: From a distance we could see that something was wrong with some shingles on back of roof. Not having an appropriate ladder, we called Granite Basin Roofing and another roofer. The other roofer couldn't even give an estimate for 3-4 weeks. Granite Basin came out a week after our call. I told the roofer the problem, he went up, took pictures of loose shingles and informed me he could do the repair right then for $80. I asked about general condition of roof since we are new owners and was told it was in decent shape and should last quite a few years. During the repair he did notice (and took pics) of missing shingles on a deck overhang. Since it was the second layer he didn't claim it needed to be fix right away but suggested watching during a rainfall for any leakages. I felt I received honest and quality work for a fair price.

Description of Work: They performed repairs while I was at work like I asked them to. They sent me an invoice which I paid by mail. It was a pleasant interaction and my roof has not shown any signs of leaks after the repairs were made.

Description of Work: Removed old roof and installed new vents, shingles, drip edge on single family home. Roof looks good and no leaks (we're having heavy monsoon rains). Granite Basin was prompt and professional. Minor quibble: Granite Basin and/or subcontractor (material delivery) did some minor damage to a metal handrail, but it was taken care of by Granite. Would definitely recommend Granite Basin. Used Angie's List 5% discount coupon, saved several hundred dollars.

Description of Work: We purchased a 30 year-old home that has a wrap-around patio on second floor. The patio floor sloped in slightly towards house, allowing rain water to pool against the house and cause water damage in the below garage. The Roofer owner came to do a free inspection and repair estimate. He was very pleasant and professional. He provided a verbal estimate of $400 which would include caulking and new flashings (with the flashings being the main portion of the estimate). On the date they were supposed to show up between 7am-8am, I had to call the company at noon to ask if they were still coming. After my phone call, two very young men showed up. They were very polite. They caulked our rain gutter and caulked a 5 ft strip along the eave of our house. It took them 20 minutes and they were done and left. They did advise that when it rains next time, that if there is still leaking that we should call them to come back. A week later, we rec'd a bill for the full verbal estimate of $400, even though no flashing was done and all they did was use 1 tube of caulking for the $400 bill. We called and complained about the fact that all they did was spend 20 minutes to use 1 tube of caulk. At that point they dropped the bill altogether and didn't charge us anything. We would have had no problem paying for what was actually done, but they never sent us another bill. Grant it, our roofing issue was minor and they knew it wasn't a "money maker" for them, but to charge the full amount of the verbal estimate for work that wasn't done, was unacceptable, regardless of how small the job was. Also, the next time it rained, we had the same water issues, so their caulking did not fix our problem. Had they spent more time looking at our roofing issue and doing an appropriate job of water testing the area with a hose, they would have found that we had no flashing in that area and that we needing flashing to be installed around the entire deck to fix the problem. Another roofing company did that for us and we have no more roofing issues.

Description of Work: Always do a great job. Make sensible recommendations. On time but can sometimes take a week or two because of their full schedule.

Description of Work: they stripped off the old shingles, installed drip edging and other code required items for ice backup prevention, installed caulking and flashing around the skylights and and vents, and installed new shingles. they also installed a new solar tube, which they offered at no charge, as an incentive. the entire crew (6) were friendly, efficient and professional. the clean-up was very thorough. the work was done at the agreed upon time and at the estimated price.

Description of Work: They were very responsive when I called for an estimate in repairing our roof (small leak in bathroom ceiling). They came out the following day, gave me a verbal estimate - and said they would mail the estimate and once signed and returned, they would schedule the work. We wanted to make sure this work was done before monsoon. I received the written estimate about a week later, signed and sent it back right away. I called a week later to ask if we could set up work (the price was very fair) - I was worrying about monsoon and 2 weeks had already gone by. They said they would call and set it up. No call. My husband also called the following week to ask for the work schedule. We never heard back from them. However...our neighbor told us that they where at the house the following week - with a ladder (so he wanted to check it out since we weren't home), and the guy gave him a business card, but left no information at our address. I had to call twice for an invoice. I'm still waiting for an invoice. Maybe three times is a charm. The owner assured me the work was done and it would be mailed. That phone conversation was 3 weeks ago. I'd love to pay them. They are a very friendly group (the office gals and the owner. I didn't get to meet the roofer). I would use them again. Just need better communication I'm thinking. Monsoon is here, and so far I'm pleased. Don't see any new leaking - so thank you roofer guy for fixing the problem.
