 + -1 moreFriendly, professional, and very knowledgeable. We just moved into our home and wanted someone to inspect the gas fireplace and install a damper clamp. We called Builders Wholesale and are very glad we did. We had a lot of questions about whether to put glass doors on the fireplace or to possibly replace the gas fireplace with a pellet stove insert. We will be calling them again when we decide which we will do. And we will call them to do an annual inspection also. They are great at what they do and we highly recommend them!
Description of Work: Inspected gas log set and installed a damper clamp on the gas fireplace.

 + -1 moreTy, Daniel and their installer & technician were tops. Best service my husband & I have experienced since we've been in Prescott. Ty is an up front knowledgeable salesman who never tried to sell us something that wouldn't have been the best fit for our needs. Our pellet stove is fabulous! We love it & even friends of ours from Phoenix were so impressed with it that they may contact Ty in the near future for a pellet stove of their own. The installer & technician we're also highly professional, clean with their work as well as knowledgeable & polite. If it wasn't for Thumb Butte Fireplace being so rude to us we never woud have gone to Builders Wholesale (so thank you Thumb Butte Fireplace) :D We highly recommend Builders Wholesale and we will also be calling on them to do our annual maintenance on our pellet stove. Description of Work: Hired to do a chimney inspection and sweep if necessary. The woman who made the initial appointment at the store was very helpful, not only with the scheduling but also answered several questions about modifications to the fireplace we were considering. She also gave me some useful catalogs and information about doors since we are planning to replace our front and back doors. So, the inspection / cleaning was scheduled for an afternoon, they called the day prior to confirm it. That morning they called again to ask if it would be possible to switch to late morning, which worked fine for me. He showed up on time, inspected the chimney, made sure everything was up to code and properly configured (height of chimney outside, etc. which were things we had wondered about), gave me some useful info about my type of fireplace (I did not know there was more than one kind, one that generated heat better and one that was more for aesthetic purposes), tips on how to handle any cracks in the firebrick if they ever showed up (mine had none). After his inspection he said my chimney did not need cleaning, it was in good shape, so that saved me some money too, he just charged for the inspection. I would definitely use them again.

 + 0 moreBuilders Wholesale came in, did the measurement, removed the old chimney and put the insert in. They ran in to some problems when they got up there and realized that it just had been rigged improperly and they got all the extra pieces to make it right. They redid all of the flue, cut out the old chimney flue with a torch. They replaced all the stuff so that it was up to code. They found a few problems and fixed it. They did the job in one day. They went over and above to keep the dust and silt down. They cleaned up after themselves and made sure everything was tidy.
Description of Work: Builders Wholesale replaced my fireplace and installed a new insert.
