Alcorn Pump and Filtration is a first-rate company. My opinion is based on first-hand experiences with this company since the beginning of 2019. The quality of service and workmanship is excellent. I would rate the company as exceptional for honesty, competence, reliability, responsiveness, punctuality, office management, ease of making an appointment, friendliness and affordability, among others. I would definitely recommend Alcorn to homeowners and businesses who need expert pump, well and filtration services.
Description of Work: We have used Alcorn on several occasions since January 2019 when we had an early morning pump and well system emergency. The well pump system was 30 years old, the original copper pipes were corroded, the pressure tank was failing and we were suddenly without water. We looked up the company on the internet, were impressed with their recommendations and BBB rating, and called the owner, Alex, who assured us he would pull out all stops to get to our home in unincorporated Redmond as soon as possible that day to diagnose and fix the problem. He and his senior pump technician, Rich, arrived with their truck and equipment by mid-day and stayed until nightfall when the work was completed. We needed to have the submersible pump and cable hoisted and replaced, the corroded copper pipes removed and replaced with plastic ones, and the old pressure tank, pressure switch and gauges drained, removed and replaced. A filter cartridge and cartridge housing was installed and connected to the new pressure tank in the garage. We purchased a yearly maintenance contract which we used last month to check the pump and water quality and replace the filter. Our well water is heavily mineralized. After nine months, the filter had become clogged and rusty. In addition, there were loud "water hammer" noises in the pipes when we flushed the toilets and used the washing machine. After replacing the filter, the "water hammer" noises disappeared and we had clean potable water. Alex recommended that we install a filter regeneration system with a projected lifespan of circa 7 years. I'm happy that we took his advice. With discounts and a long lifespan, the system was affordably priced. up the company on the internet, were impressed with their recommendations and BBB rating, and called the owner, Alex, who assured us he would pull out all stops to get to our home in unincorporated Redmond as soon as possible that day to diagnose and fix the problem.
