Watt Masters

They always show up on time. I have been very happy with this company. They clean up everyday when they get done doing the work around the house for me.

It took over 3 months from the time we asked Watt Masters to do this until it was actually done. Most of the time appeared to be in delays in working with our electric company to get designs agreed upon and approved. We've heard from other electricians as well as from Watt Masters that it is very hard to work with our electric company. The design was changed after the initial meeting with our electric company, resulting in the agreement that we had to bury our lines (which we were happy about, even though it was much more expensive). Watt Masters did also help coordinate with our TV/Internet/phone service so that their line was buried in the same trench. When the work was finally started, it went fairly quickly.

They are tremendous. They do impeccable work and shows up on time. The prices are great and he is very neat and a really good job. They are reasonable and I would recommend them to anyone. The price is great as well.

The work involved crawling in the attic in July and I heard no whining. They provided professional service. They explained everything very well and made me feel comfortable with what they were doing. They did what I asked, when I wanted and were quick about it.

Overall good job. The work was professionally done in a timely manner. I was told to just let him know what all needed to be done when he arrived. They canceled the first appointment because he got 'stuck' on a job. We arranged for him to come the next day. He didn't have time to install all 4 fans since I had requested an afternoon appointment. We made arrangements to have him come back 1 week later at the same time to install the remaining 3 fans. They again canceled due to being stuck on a job, however he came the next day (on a Saturday afternoon) & completed the work. I was a little irritated with the cancellations, however I really appreciated the fact that they communicated it asap. There was also no additional trip charge when he had to come back to complete the remaining installs. Doug was really great and very knowledgeable.

Used cheap 8 gauge cable instead of 6 gauge like the cable companies and poor "radio shack" fittings. Did significant stucco damage to the outside of the house. Called and complained twice to have the bill reduced from around $950 to $700. Cable company replaced fittings for no charge and I ran better gauge cable myself.

Called on Friday morning to report electrical short that I couldn't resolve by flipping the circuit breaker. Wattmasters scheduled repair for Monday and I asked to be called 30 minutes before arrival to meet repairman. Wattmasters called to say repairman could come early so I left work immediately. However, I waited and finally called to find out the repairman was taking a break. By then I had waited at home an hour. I identified the outlet that most likely had caused the short. Estimate was for circuit box diagnosis. Outlet was repaired and problem solved in about 10 minutes. Repairman covered shoes and was careful to keep house clean. Very polite. When I read the pricing options, I felt that I should have paid for repairing the short rather than the diagnosis and called to ask them about it. This was about a $50 difference. The owner was very responsive and refunded the basic charge. Very customer service oriented.

Very well, an electrician arrived at my house within 2 hours of my initial call. He was very professional and described a couple options I had.

Watt Masters is new name for an long-established contractor, Buehler Brothers. With this new identity, Watt Masters offers several nice touches, including the following: Online booking of appointments (much better than describing all job details over the phone). Email confirmation of the appointment with a photo of the electrician assigned to the job. Punctual arrival within a two-hour window rather than requiring homeowners to stay at home all day. Electricians who avoid bad-mouthing their employers and offering to do the work for less if hired on the side. The only negative associated with my Watt Masters experience was the price, which totaled $500 for 2.5 hours of work by one electrician. Although I agreed to the estimate before work began, the price still seems a bit high. Still, after several experiences with unreliable electrical contractors, I'm willing to pay a premium for reliability and professionalism. I will use Watt Masters again.
