I called for service, and was given a date more than two weeks out. I wanted something quicker, but their number was on the system, and I wanted to keep it simple and get it done, so I agreed. Pamela was very friendly and called me the day in advance to confirm an appointment between noon and two pm. At 12:36pm Randy called to tell me he was 30 minutes away. I told him I was about the same distance, and I'd see him soon. At 1:01pm Randy called me back. He informed me that he was there, and asked where I was. I told him I was running 10 mins behind, and that I'd be right there. He said " Maybe we should reschedule, because I don't have time to wait around for you." I was shocked because it'd only been 25 minutes since he initially called me. I said to him "Well I'd rather not. We waited two weeks for the appointment, and I'm only 10 minutes away." He replied "OK, I guess I'll just wait out in the sun for you." I was shocked that someone in a customer service situation would communicate to a customer in this way. I told him "OK???, I'm sorry???" but realized he was no longer on the line. When I arrived at the property at 1:15pm (9minutes late) Randy was nowhere to be found. I tried to call him on his cell three times, but got no answer. I tried to call the office also, and got no answer. They have a recording that says lunch is from noon to 1pm, so that wasn't the issue. I finally got ahold of Pamela at 1:41pm by constantly calling the office. Literally. When she answered, I told her that it was me, and immediately she said "Uhm, yeah. Randy said he couldn't wait 45 minutes for you so he left. I'm sorry about that would you like to reschedule for Monday?" I told her that he didn't even wait 9 minutes for me, had a very bad attitude, and that we'd take our business elsewhere. I drove across town, took more than an hour out of my day. For nothing because Randy was impatient, and in a bad mood. I have never had service, or lack there of, comparable to this...

I called for an estimate after viewing the special on their website. Randy arrived on time. The install was clean and professional. He was in and out in just a couple of hours. And the price was as quoted. I did all the research. For the equipment I wanted, this was the best deal I could find. Randy didn’t try to over sell me or tack on extra charges. He's been doing this his whole life. It’s a family business. And he's good. Thought I would wait until after the first regeneration before writing this (just to make sure everything was functioning properly). All is good.

I have used universal water services for years now. Both my systems are old and run like clockwork. Call anually for preventive maintenance services. Randy Dobson is very friendly and knows his stuff. Very professional and will offer tips to keep your system running well. A little bit pricey, but for the quality you get, it's well worth it. I'd recommend them to anyone.

Randy arrived precisely on time and had the job done in the allotted two hours. The price was as quoted. He diagnosed some minor additional problems (cracked filter container, frozen water shut off handle) and fixed them as well. He reviewed all his work explained all the costs and gave a demonstration of the new equipment. He cleaned up all debris and removed the old unit.

DID A GOOD JOB THIS TIME. TOOK MORE TIME THAN PREVIOUS TIMES. REALLY CHECKED THINGS OUT.
