Great communication in both setting up the appointment, confirming it, and letting me know when he was on his way. He was very thorough in explaining costs up front and what he quoted me was exactly what I paid. When it came to installing the security bars, he was lightning quick and they looked great. I had an issue with needing to have glass replaced on one of the doors, and he let me know that while the glass installer should not need to remove one of the brackets to put the glass in, if they did and there were any issues he would come back out and reinstall it for me, no problem. He was very cordial and professional and gave me great peace of mind. I will definitely use them again in the future.

In Dec. 2014, Nathan installed all new doorknobs and locks, deadbolts, re-keyed my entire house and made repairs on a security door lock. The original 1974 locks were flimsy, malfunctioning or not working at all. Originally I called just for a couple of repairs but in the end I decided to do the whole house. If my count is correct, Nathan installed 5 new commercial grade doorknobs, 4 deadbolts, 12 re-keys, and 6 spare keys. The new hardware was high quality, pick resistant and the deadbolts were reinforced to provide extra security against a break-in (which I experienced in 2012). All told I spent about $1400. Although I wasn't expecting to spend that much I have been very happy with the result and feel it was a worthwhile investment for my home and emotional security. I confess, I didn't take time to compare costs and relied on United Lock's good reviews. Nathan was efficient and skilled and the quality of his work was excellent. He came back on a Saturday to finish all the extra work I added on. He answered my many questions and was pleasant and professional. I had planned to write a review then but the holidays and company took over and I never got to it. Fast forward to March, 2015. I was rushing out of the house to work and as soon as I closed the door I realized I had just locked myself out. My house key was inside and I didn't have an accessible spare anywhere. I had not made a Plan B to protect myself from myself! But at least I knew who to call. I went in to work and called Nathan that morning around 8 am. He advised me that he was solidly booked and wouldn't be able to arrive until 5-7 pm. After work was fine for me as I wanted to work the whole day. He promised to call me later in the day to keep me informed. As promised, Nathan called at 5 pm and let me know that he would not be able to arrive until 6:30 - 7 pm. He was trying to finish a job and he was in the North Valley. I had just arrived home but said OK and resigned myself to waiting on the porch until he could get there. But I hadn't been feeling well for a couple of days and was anxious to get inside my house to lie down. So I got the "bright" idea of calling a 24/7 locksmith thinking that would spare both Nathan and I the late hour on a Friday night. I asked the 24/7 provider what the cost would be and she informed me the technician would provide that when he arrived (their ad said $29 service). I called Nathan to let him know. He apologized but I know he is a one-man operation and he was trying to fit me in after his pre-scheduled work. The 24/7 provider arrived within 20 minutes but after he discussed the options and prices with me I started feeling very uneasy. If everything went well it would be at minimum $160. If the lock couldn't be easily picked he would have to try other methods and the price would be higher (he couldn't provide specific figures) with possible damage to my lock and door. The technician was nice and seemed sincere but basically my level of trust wasn't there with what he was telling me. And I was thinking about all the new and reinforced locks Nathan had just installed, the potential damage and $$$. I called Nathan back (because I trust his work quality and ethics) and he said he could still be there in 45 minutes. I told the 24/7 technician that I would pay for the service call ($15) but did not want to proceed. Nathan arrived about 6:40 pm. He had to drill the lock out (it couldn't be picked easily), replace the cylinder and re-key it. He didn't charge me for the new cylinder and re-key. By 7:15 pm he had me in the house for $75.00. I can't imagine the added expense I would have paid and the damage I might have sustained had I proceeded with the 24/7 service. Moral of the story? Have a Plan B and if you are in need of professional quality service, call Nathan, United Lock, LLC .

Nathan was awesome!! I called rather late because I had lost my keys. He was very courteous, on time, and re-keyed my locks in a timely manner. GREAT service!

No problems with the company as they were very congenial, professional, and responsive. I ended up finding the key I needed so the locks did not need to be changed.

Nathan showed up on time and was done with the locks on the town home in 10 minutes. We also had decided to change the lock on the mailbox as we had just purchased this place and wanted to secure the mailbox as well. He charged us $40 to do this, but that was what it would have cost us if we had contacted the postal service to do it. He was fast, on time and did what he was there to do. I would not hesitate to use him again.
