Description of Work: Came over to see the leak. I have already punched a whole in the ceiling so they had access to see where the leak was. Because the leak was coming from upstairs wall they decided to cut my vanity cabinet back wall to have a better look. Once they made a hole in the cabinet wall they told me that will be $140 and in order to fix the leak it will be another $400 if they don't have to pull the cabinets out and if nothing else comes up. I asked how much would it be if they had to move cabinets and they advised it could be $800 but cabinets are all different so it could be even more. That did not include putting cabinets back. They took my $140 and left after being in my house less than 40 min. Same night I cut the pipe upstairs and downstairs took the cracked piece out and went to lowes. Tim from lowes gave me pieces I needed and instructions how to put it together. $32 and 2.5 hours later including the trip back home I was done. I just glued the pieces together put them through the whole, gulped the top piece to upstairs pipe then went downstairs and glued the piece there too. Pits been two weeks of constant use and not a drip. These guys are pleasant to talk too but wanted to overcharge as much as you are willing to pay them. I would not use them again.

Description of Work: Called on morning of Dec-10th and needed a service (backed up clothes washer drain) that same day. They promised to arrive before end-of-day. As they have done in the past for me, they arrived and quickly found and fixed the problem. Jeff also helped us move some large book shelves in order to get to the ""flush out"" access point. I will continue to use Tutko for any plumbing issues. They are very professional and helpful.

Description of Work: They removed an old corroded kitchen faucet and installed a new one that we had purchased. Everything was done well and professionally.

Description of Work: I spoke to the owner by phone. I was very impressed with his professionalism and responsiveness. He quoted me a maximum price over the phone which was VERY reasonable. I wound up doing the job myself with help from my brother, but I would have no hesitation using Tutko in the future. This is a business I have confidence in based on my experience. The owner gave me very useful and honest information and next time I need a plumber, I will call them. Thanks Tutko!

Description of Work: Purchased and put in a laundry room sink, sealed a toilet, and a few other miscellaneous bathroom items. They do great work but are not always the cheapest price so we have used other plumbing companies also.

Description of Work: Sewer mainline replacement. Tutko plumbing did a great job on the project. There were a few unexpected problems with my yard but the crew worked through it and honored their original estimate. I would definitely use them again in the future.

Description of Work: 12/16/13 I had Jeff & AJ from Tutko Plumbing give a bid to run a new sewer line approx. 80 feet from my house to the city sewer main with 4" ABS pipe and to run a 3" ABS sewer line from the laundry room approx. 40 feet tied into my new main sewer line. My house was built in 1952 and originally on septic until approx. 1970. (I did NOT have Orangeburg pipes) Prior on 12/4/13 I'd had a snake & camera of my sewer line for $285, which brought up tree roots, performed by another business. .I joined Angie's List to read ratings/reviews on several plumbing companies who I called for bids. I checked BB & Registrar of Contractors.Then I was ready to call Blue Stake & hire Tutko Plumbing. Jeff & Dan arrived at 7am on 12/17/13. They had to remove my gate and a 4' chain link fence to access my large back yard with the two backhoes. Dan avoided damage to all my many trees as he dug my main sewer line and the additional new line for my laundry. No damage was done to my buried electrical line going to my back shed nor my irrigation line. The owner's son AJ arrived to help. The owner of Tutko, Al, brought Dean to join the crew. Everyone is professional & polite. Jeff addressed all my concerns throughout my job. The 4 man crew stopped about 10 minutes to quickly eat lunch. By 5pm everything was cleaned up in my back yard. Both sewer lines were completed and working. The next morning, 12/18/13, Jeff returned to cement the post for my chain link fence. Around 3pm, when the cement had set up, Jeff called to say he'd arrive shortly to attach my fence & gate. I am extremely pleased with Tutko Plumbing and will highly recommend this honest company to my family & friends.

Description of Work: Last minute call because toilet shut off valve broke. Was able to be at my home in 30 minutes. AJ was on time efficient, courteous and professional. Would definitely use again.

Description of Work: I called and the owner said that someone would be here by noon. The plumber was here just before 12 and completed the job within 30 min. I had a very leaky faucet in my front yard and one that leaked a little in the back yard. I was surprised at how fast the work was done. He did a good job and was very pleasant. He also advised me that because of the condition of my pipes that I would have to have the pipes replaced at a future date. He gave me an estimated which seemed reasonable. I will certainly call Tutdo Plumbing for my future plumbing needs. He also gave me a $25 discount for using Angie's List. I am so glad that I finally joined Angies List, I wish I had done so sooner.

Description of Work: Our kitchen faucet was leaking. All that was wrong was the hose on the faucet was tangled. What we didn't like or think was fair, was that he had a $115 minimum service call charge. He spent only 15 minutes on our faucet and we paid $115. We have now found a new plumber, who does awesome work and only charges $44/hour.

Description of Work: I had two severe leaks in my ground-watering system. Al came out the day after I called, first thing in the morning just as we'd agreed, diagnosed the problems, and fixed them. He also put in a new shut off valve for my front yard system. After he'd left, my back yard system began leaking in another place in the pipe he'd capped off for me, so I called him on his cell phone. He was back within the hour to fix this new leak, at no charge! I can't say that he was inexpensive, but he knew immediately what to do, was very professional, and let me watch everything he did. I feel I got good value for my money, and would use Tutko again.
