Trees For Needs

It went great. The crew showed up in the window promised; performed the work efficiently, and professionally. I left for work before they were finished, but inspected the job after, and everything was as promised. No debris anywhere. Very satisfied.

Carl and his team are fantastic. I have used their service twice now and I have no reservations in recommending them to anyone looking for a quality tree service company. The office staff responds promptly to all questions and concerns and their field crew is fast, thorough and respectful of your property.

I'd probably try someone new next time. It's a little complicated. The people that bid the job said all their people were arborist. The foreman on the job told me this was his first week and he kept asking me if they had done their job if they were done or should they cut anything else. I am not the arborist he was suppose to be.

It was a pleasure doing business with Carl and Trees for Needs. I receiced 3 different quotes for the trimming 18 trees and feeding of 25 trees and decided to proceed with Carl. He came out 2/14/2017 to give an estimate and we settled on a completion date of 3/1/2017. Carl arrived that morning with his crew to review with them the specifics of work I requested to be done. It was also Carl that did the root feeding of 25 trees/palms. The trimming done by his crew was completed in a couple of hours. As I walked the yard there were some minor adjustments to trimming that I wanted done and they were quick to take care of my concerns. It's now been almost 2 months since the work was completed and I'm very happy with the regrowth and blooming of the trees. Highly recommend Carl and would hire again.

We were very pleased with the work. When they first came out, they were on time, and were very knowledgeable about the job and the necessary materials. They came a few weeks later and got the job done well.

They were okay. They were prompt. They provided the service that we requested. They left a few branches on the ground that they probably should have picked up otherwise I would have given them an A. Their price was good. And we got free fertilizer that came with the Angie's List deal.

They were very responsive and kept in touch.

The staff at Trees for Needs is professional and friendly. Carl, the arborist, answered all of my questions when he came to give an estimate. The office staff stayed in contact with me and were quick to respond to my questions and concerns. Jesus and his partner, the tree trimmers, were professional and courteous. I was nervous about having our trees trimmed as I didn't want their appearances drastically changed but I also didn't want them blowing over in monsoon winds. Jesus assured me he would only trim off what was needed and make the trees more attractive! He did just that. They did a thorough job cleaning up and ensured our neighbor's yard was cleaned up, too. I will use their services again. Four trees were trimmed and pruned: 1) a humongous Sissoo, 2) a small Mastic, 3) a medium Vitex, 4) and a medium Desert Willow.

It took a bit of effort to get it scheduled but the contacts were friendly during each interaction. When the gentleman arrived on the day of the trimming, he was polite and asked questions to better understand what we wanted. The work on the palm trees, themselves, was fine. However, the debris from work crushed some backyard foliage making the appearance in the backyard worse than had I not had the palm trees trimmed. I sent pictures to the company advising of the issue. They offered to have their arborist come and investigate the damage and talk with me. I advised I didn't have capacity to take more time off of work for this issue. I requested a discounted rate, instead. They advised that they would need to send someone to see the damage, themselves, before they would take any additional action. On Friday, August 5th, I advised of the times I could make the backyard available. I have not heard from them since that communication.

The good: The pruning was done carefully and obviously by someone with knowledge of trees. The original price I was quoted ($160) seemed fair. The Needs Improvment: These folks rescheduled on me four times. Once they tried to fit me in, but the person who started the job did not have sufficient hauling equipment to complete it, so they had to come back, which was rescheduled again. I thought this odd, since they knew the size of the job when they came out to bid it. Bottom Line: Although Trees for Needs may need to do a much better job at punctuality, they are a very solid arborist and are honest and appropriately discounted my fee for our inconvenience. I will give them another shot when the time comes for my other trees. Hopefully by then they will have a handle on their schedule.

Wow, Trees for Needs not only met my expectations but greatly exceeded them. They did an awesome job trimming and skinning my palm trees and thoughly cleaned up the backyard. The crew even skimmed the debris from the pool.

This is the 3rd year that I've had TFN size and shape the Palo Verde in my front yard. I am very pleased with their work. This is the first year that they've trimmed the Palo Verde in my back yard. Carl gave me a good deal. I am very pleased with all phases of the job: the estimate, the scheduling, the trimming crew and the follow-up. Everything is top notch.

As you can see from my reviews they did a fantastic job. They arrived on time and worked diligently to complete the tree removal safely. They were extremely careful with the surrounding walls so there was no damage, and everything was performed to perfection. I would recommend and re-hire them any time.

Constantino and his helper trimmed and pruned the overgrown lime tree, hauled away the trimmed branches, and cleaned up every bit of leaves and old fruit. They left my yard looking better than it did when they got there!!! I have used Trees for Needs before and they always do an excellent job. They saved my Ash tree from salt burn also.

This is the second time that we have used Trees for Needs. Previously they had trimmed our ficus tree in the front yard and did a good job for a reasonable price. So we called them when we decided to have our Palo Verde tree removed. Their price was very competitive. They worked with our schedule. We are very happy with the end result. We will be using them in the future for our tree care needs.

I called Trees for Needs for and estimate to remove a tree in my side yard and Carl came out the very next day to give me a quote. I thought it was extremely reasonable, but I still wanted to get 2 more quotes before I made my final decision. After I received the other quotes, Trees for Needs was by far the most reasonable. I called to give them the go ahead and they were able to schedule my service for the very next day. They showed up on time, did a great job removing the tree, and everything was cleaned up before they left. I am extremely happy with the price and service I received. I will absolutely call them again for any tree needs (pun intended) :-)

Carl, the owner, is an ISA certified arborist and initially came out to evaluate our 22 yr old shamel ash tree. The tree was looking stressed, after our backyard was re-landscaped in June. He evaluated the tree and gave us good advice on fertilization, watering and applying mulch around the tree. He was professional, punctual and knowledgeable. His crew did a great job of crown cleaning and structure pruning the tree. We plan on having his crew deep root feed the tree next Spring. Couldn't be happier with the company. The tree prune/trim seemed a little high in price, but this had not been done for 5 years.

Crew showed up as scheduled, performed extensive pruning, cleaned up debris, left the area totally shipshape. Crew leader was very friendly, courteous, and professional. Met all my expectations. We have used another highly rated firm in the past whose work was equally excellent but were higher priced.

Four workers arrived at the time scheduled and completed the work in about 2 and 1/2 hours. I have a lot of potted and landscape plants immediately below the tree. They were careful and barely damaged even a leaf. They cleaned up afterwards. The crew supervisor was very skilled and did the best pruning job that I have had on my tree in 20 years. He would consult with me when he had a question and I always agreed with his recommendation. My only suggestion would be a little more attention to personal safety. Previous tree-trimmers I hired would tie themselves off with a safety rope and a harness and secured their chain saw with a safety rope in case they slipped or dropped the chain saw. I would hate to see any of this excellent crew incapacitated by an injury. I want to be able to hire them again.

It all went extremely well!

They did a really good job and they called after they were done to follow-up to make sure I was satisfied. I thought the price was a little high but you get what you pay for.

Carl came out and gave me a quote to trim my Ironwood tree. I didn't get any other quotes since I have used them before and knew they did good work. They arrived on time, trimmed and thinned the tree and left the area cleaner than it was before they arrived. I was very pleased with the work they performed.

It went very badly they had aperson come out before hand and discribe what had to be done. My husband showed him a broken branch that nedded to be trimmed off. When the trimming crew came they stayed about 15 minutes .My husband went out and had to insist they cut the broken branch. They trimmed the back of the tree and left it completly unbalaned. Theyleft a large branch which should have been cut off. Really I don't think that they know what they were doing. Ihas to trim the large branch so the tree didn't split. Tehy get an F.

Carl Bogar was well informed and helpful as he did the estimate of cost of the project. His crew did the work just three days after the estimate. There were three crew members; they worked quickly and efficiently and cleaned up all the debris. The trees look fantastic, and we are very pleased with the entire experience. We will use them again as needs require.
