Description of Work: I first met with Carl for the estimate to do three trees in my yard. His estimate was much higher than expected, but understandable for a certified arborist. Instead I chose to only do the largest and most important tree. They did a great job but when I checked it there was one side I wanted cut back a little further from the pool. They promptly came out with a day or two and finished it ask requested. I was very satisfied with their service and have already referred them to a friend. I will say that if they had offered a discount to do the other trees, I would have had them do it but, unfortunately, I will have to wait for the next deal to do the others.

Description of Work: Trees for Needs removed two mesquite trees from our back yard that were making it difficult to use our pool. They were prompt and finished the work in a timely manner. The crew was efficient and completed the work as agreed in the contract.

Description of Work: Called before I used the service to be sure dates for tree removal and stump grinding worked with date of tree delivery-in less than one week! Tree Needs said they could do it, and they did! Because the services cost less than the Angie's List offer, they also trimmed and shaped another tree, and shaped an unsightly shrub! |They also advised that the replacement tree I had purchased was too big for the spot. I think I averted disaster, and the right-sized tree was also half the price of the one already purchased. Highly recommend Tree Needs!

Description of Work: They did a great job on one tree. They were very very expensive. The one tree would have cost me over $300 and with the Angie's deal it was $210. I understand they are professionals, but whew - I didn't expect the bid of over $1100 to do the trees in my yard.

Description of Work: Because of busyness, I had to wait 5 weeks for the work to be completed. It was done today. The workmen were very punctual, coming 5 min early. They had all the equipment needed and were ready to start work. I like to garden so there are a lot of plants under and around the date palm they were to trim. I specifically mentioned that I would appreciate the workmen being careful when the owner came to assess the situation. I again expressed this concern to one of the workman today. Fortunately, I had enough buckets to cover my iris plants. This is the first yr one of them is blooming. I also specially pointed out my two cana beds as they are just starting to come up. I moved what I could. The first two or three limbs hit the buckets covering the iris. I again asked them to be careful. Then about two limbs hit the one cana bed. I again mentioned my need for caution and one of the workman placed the limbs against the fence to act a an indicator that the area was to be avoided. When completed I helped clean up. They were good about picking up the large material - not so good about the smaller and small. I also found a live baby pigeon on the ground. It later died. Much pigeon dung from the tree which I had to clean up. The men trimmed quite a number of limbs (3-4 rows) plus the pods and seed stems. I noticed that the top area of the palm still had pods and seed stems and asked why they did not trim them. Said they were told not to trim more than 3-4 rows so perhaps a communication glich. Usually all the pods and seed stems are removed. The owners are lovely people willing to discuss issues. The workmen are very nice also. The wife called a bit after the workmen left and we discussed these issues. She agreed the top pods, etc., should be removed and is going to try to send the men back to do so later today. I don't know if I will use them again. Given all the plants, I asked one of the men why they didn't put down a cover to catch alot of the debris. It makes clean up easier and more thorough. He didn't really answer the question and then said he would do so next time. The work they did was fine - it was the clean up that for me was medium. Incidentially, aborists can have a certification (license). It is an ISA (International Society of Arborists) certification.
