Description of Work: We had 4- pieces of furniture retouched, 2- were painted and 2 were re-stained. They did an excellent job on the painting as they had to match an existing piece. they also did an excellent job on re-staining a large dining table with two leaves, and touch up an existing hutch. I have no complaints, they did get his done in the time they proposed and delivery/pick up were right on schedule. The price was more than I expected, on some items. However, the finished looks have held up and more than glad we did it as it has made such a difference in our home.

Description of Work: Refinished a rocking chair that was my son's, who is now 34, and I wanted to give it to his son. They did an absolutely beautiful job. I hope to use them again.

Description of Work: They replaced the lever on my recliner. I was pleased that they were able to get my recliner fixed the same day. They were very polite. Although their speciality is restoring furniture, they are also able to repair broken furniture. These guys were great!

Description of Work: Speedy Furniture rebuilt a heavy granite dining table. The table was lowered to counter height from bar height and fortified by new legs. The legs were painted to spec. In addition to the table, they repaired a portion of the kitchen baseboard. Great final product and friendly customer service.

Description of Work: We needed some repair work on some very fine mahogany furniture. 18th century reproductions. This is a very low overhead operation located in a very non-descript place, but the work of these guys is absolutely first rate. Would not hesitate to use them again!

They also repaired both of our leather recliners, which reclined more than sat up straight. Then they repaired another cloth recliner which needed support and sewing. The cost also included picking up the sofa and returning it.

They restored badly chewed chairs and a table, a Henredon coffee table burned from the heat of a candle, reattached an arm to a formal dining chair, etc. The best work I've ever encountered. |Their fees were fair, their work outstanding, and their skill level was superb!

Description of Work: I called Speedy Furniture Repair after reading their reviews and looking at some of the projects they had completed on line. They arrived on time and gave me a quote for the furniture that I needed repaired and I had them take away 3 pieces of furniture that day. The first was a rattan chair which had holes in the side and back, they matched the rattan shape and stain perfectly. The second and third piece was a winged back chair which had its front leg broken in a move and while examining it they also noticed that the back legs had cracked, which we had not spotted and a matching ottoman which needed the dust cover replaced and some cosmetic touch ups to the legs. They replaced the dust covers on both pieces and again repaired the leg perfectly that you would never know there had been any damage. The legs on both pieces were touched up and polished and the furniture looks better than when we inherited it. We have a few other pieces which we eventually want doing which they also gave us quotes on and we will definitely be using them for those and any other furniture repairs we may need. They did a high standard of work, were very quick, professional and just easy to do business with, would highly recommend.

Description of Work: These men are artists when it comes to any wood object! They refinished expensive, quality chairs, bar stools, and a dining table that had been badly chewed by a hungry puppy! They replaced chair seats also. They re-attached an arm on a dining room chair that had broken. They furniture looks as though it was just purchased today! They also repaired a child's activity table, and a Henredon coffee table damaged by candle heat. They hung hardware on a buffet, snf sanded and refinished a butcher block island.They removed rust from the iron base of a sofa table and refinished and painted the base. They are coming back to improve the appearance of some kitchen cabinets, and to refinish some damaged Henredon and Thomasville bedroom furniture damaged by both people and pets! These 2 gentlemen are gifted in this 'lost art' of furniture refinishing and repair. They are honest and fair in their pricing. Very talented!

Description of Work: I had our dresser drawers, which were tilted and would not close, repaired. They were very professional and I was very pleased with the result. Since they were here, I asked them to look at our garage cabinets which were built to slide but always stuck. I asked if they could use our existing doors and rebuild them to hinged doors so that I could easily get into the cabinets. They were able to to it and I am, again very pleased with the result. I felt the prices were fair.

Description of Work: Speedy Furniture repaired an refinished an antique dining table for me. they understood the need for preserving the integrity the piece and dig an excellent job. They made additional adjustments upon delivery that became evident only when reassembled at my home. The end results were great! They also re-upholst. a chaise bedroom lounge for me and it looks fabulous! Manny was informative, polite and treated me, my home and furnishing with much respect. Will use them again.

Description of Work: They never responded to my inquiry after they finally responded to the initial one and I submitted details. It's now 2 1/2 weeks from my original inquire and 12 days since I submitted details and photos. I'm not going to chase after them.

Description of Work: One of our caned dining room chairs was broken in our move. The folks from Speedy gave me an estimate over the phone, came and picked up the chair,replaced the caning and matched the color and returned the chair to our home. They did a beautiful job. You can't tell which chair had the caning replaced. Very nice people to work with.

Description of Work: My dining room table had some hot wax damage that went a 1/4 inch deep and had about 5 inches of blackened wood. Several businesses told me they would not attempt any repair because the damage was too severe. Speedy Furniture Repair assured me they could repair the damage. They removed the legs. wrapped each leg and the table top in blankets and took them to their shop. I also had three rattan chairs where the casters had come loose and they took them to the shop, also. They promised a one week turn around. Four days later, they delivered everything back. The table looks brand new, they did a beautiful job restoring the top and matching the color to the chairs. I can now lift the rattan chair without the casters falling off. This business is built on craftmanship and pride and I am very happy with the results. I highly recommend Speedy Furniture Repair, they treated my furniture with care and restored it to its original 53 year old luster and shine.
