Description of Work: I just closed on a Short Sale and the yard needed serious work, I called Scott on Friday and he offered to come on Saturday for a bid. Well my wife was impatient and went to our new neighbors house who had landscapers out front and hired them to do our yard. Scott still drove almost 50 miles to give me a bid for maintenance work. He was very open that due to the distance from my house to his I could most likely get a better deal from someone closer as he would have a significant fuel bill. On top of that he educated me on the different palm trees and how to best fertilize. Although we will be going with someone closer Scott is another reason why Angie's list is so great. I highly recommend him!!!

Description of Work: Services performed included general landscaping/maintenance...trimming back bushes/shrubs and trees and doing a general "clean up" to make the front yard look more tidy. We did not have a weed problem so the service was mostly just as described. I think there were 2 men out there for maybe close to 2 hours, including collecting all of the cut branches and leaves and hauling away. My only complaint is that I initially called and left a few messages with no return call. I had to actually keep calling until Scott happened to pick up (3 attempts total over a few days with voicemails left). Also, he said the crew would be there on Friday. They never showed up and we did not receive a phone call. I told him to be sure to call if any issues. Instead, they showed up early on Saturday (2 guys with limited English speaking abilities and no Scott) and we had no idea that they were in our front year. It wasn't until they rang our doorbell and asked for payment that we even knew that they were there. What if we hadn't been home? Guess they wouldn't have gotten paid! Having said the problem was follow-through, the price was reasonable and we will probably use them again.

Description of Work: This experience was very ODD. I contacted Scott to get an estimate to perform routine yard work, trimming cutting ,weeding etc., and he stated that he would be out to give me an estimate within a couple of days and stated that I would not need to be home. The work required was not a large amount, I normally have this type of work done 2-3 times per year. He contacted me by phone the next afternoon while I was at work and stated that he was at my home (he was talking to me as he was walking around my property) and that he would call me back with an estimate. That is the last I heard from him. I have attempted to call him three times since then and left my number (his mailbox was full), other times his phone just rings and rings. He has not responded at all. Very unusual; I've never seen this type of service from a business owner before.
