Scott was the only one that bothered to return my call. He was responsible and was able to perform the work in a timely manner. He came over and gave me an estimate and told me all it would cover. I was happy with the quote since it was lower than the two I received via email. He is extremely friendly, creative, and professional. His crew were friendly and professional. Scott truly cares about the work he is doing for you and extremely knowledgeable. Scott and his crew of two (small back yard) showed up on time and did a fabulous job. The yard looked and still does, great! Plus they even swept of the two patio's.

I obtained estimates from several businesses w/ A ratings on Angie's List, and Scott's estimate came in as one of the lowest. He was patient with us while we attempted to decide what tree to replace the ficus with, was always cordial and professional. We finally made our decision and the date was set. He and his crew arrived on time and completed the work the same day. Just from talking to Scott on the job it was clear that his focus was to do the job right and to leave knowing he had a satisfied customer. We were completely happy with his performance. The only reason we did not give him an A in responsiveness is only because he had not timely responded to a couple of e-mails. With other e-mails, he responded right away.

Scott completede the job, but may have overcharged me for his services. That's my fault for accepting the quote, but I wanted the job completed fast with someone reliable.

They do great work, are easy to work with, conscientious and creative. I'll continue to use Sound Landscaping. Good value.

Overall, Scott did a good job at the work he identified that he thought needed to be done. However, he did not test the drip systems after making the changes. This resulted in some flooding from open drips and pipes. I asked him to fix these and he again did not test them resulting in another leak. Additionally, I felt his price was a little high for the work performed. I ended up hiring another vendor to finish the job.

Scott came out to give us an estimate on Saturday. He did the work the following Friday. My yard is AMAZING! It took his crew of five only about three hours to do all this work. I still can't believe they could make my yard look this great. Highly recommend him!

I wrote a previous unflattering review because Scott didn't follow up with me. He did finally call and did perform the work and did a good job.

I read the previous 2 unflattering reports and his response stating family problems. I gave him the benefit of the doubt but sorry - I'm not buying into that excuse if he uses it again. I called and asked about a quote on a particular job. He said he would come and look at the job the next day and would call me in the morning to set up an exact time to meet. I didn't hear from him by late the next morning and ended up calling him again when I know I should have just moved on. We finally set up an exact time to meet. He did come and gave me a quote which I thought was fair so I said I'd like to go forward and asked when he could do the job. He said he would call me by late in the day the following Monday when he had a better idea of his schedule. Never heard from him again. Don't waste your time.

My irrigation system had a leak and there was loud knocking in the house. Our current landscaper lacked a sense of urgency so I looked on Angie's list and found Scott. He was over in an hour and replaced a washer on the valve, which fixed the problem. He fixed the drip system timers, bolted the unit back on the wall, inspected each drip and did not charge me anything. I asked for an estimate on bi-weekly lawn service and I hired him and terminated my current landscaper. Thus far, he's removed a dead palm tree, fixed the irrigation and the lawn looks green and lush! I'm very happy I decided to change to Sound Landscaping.

The crew made our landscaping look perfect in one day - better than expected.

We wanted him to do a big project and he asked us to wait till the winter and see how the water drains. The lawn turned out to be good. He seemed to be a great guy. We are probably going to call him back. His prices are excellent and so is his quality of work. He was right on time.

They did a good job. The price was good and it was competitive. They were very pleasant and courteous. They did a very thorough job.

I couldn't be happier with the work. Scott is easy to work with, understands what your asking for, and does it. I'll definitely be using again once I'm ready for the next stage of my yard projects.

After reviewing Angie's list for companies that performed tree trimming as part of their service, I chose Sound Landscaping to call first. Scott answered the phone and we discussed my fig tree. He indicated that he comes to the east valley only every couple of weeks or so because he is out in the west valley. This was fine with me as I was willing to to wait till the following Monday to come and give a formal quote. I asked for an approximate estimate on the phone so I would some idea on cost. He gave me a quote of $75 to $100. Sounded OK to me and we agreed to meet that Monday between 10 and noon. His worker, Victor, arrived a little after 10 Monday morning and checked out the fig tree as we waited for Scott to show around 10:15 or so. Scott looked at the fig tree and gave me a quote of $100. This was fine with me and we went to the front of the house and I asked Scott to give me a quote on the 2 Queen palms that needed work. I hadn't discussed this with Scott on the phone but thought about doing this as well as the fig tree. He gave me a quote of $50 to skin both palms. Fine with me. Victor did the fig tree last as it was the most work. and required a lot of trimming. Victor did a very nice job on all the trees and an excellent clean up of the cuttings. He spent over 2 hours performing all of this work, and I am completely satisfied. I will definitely use Scott's service in the future. He was honest, met his quote, and had Victor do the job I was looking for.

I could not have been more pleased with how the yard looks. Scott was professional, listened carefully, and completed everything exactly as we discussed.

This guy's grades have gone to his head! Incredibly unprofessional. I called on 11/10 based on Angie's List grades to ask for a quote for ongoing yard maintenance. I left a message on voicemail, but I didn't get a return call. I gave him the benefit of the doubt and called again two days later. With no mention of the failed return phone call, we made arrangements for him to be here today between 8 and 8:30. He never showed up and didn't call. I called him at 9:40 to get an update and only got his voicemail, so I left a message. It's now 1:30 pm and no Scott and no phone call to say he's not coming.

I called Scott on a Friday morning for an estimate to do some sorely needed yard work that I wanted done before Thanksgiving. He came out in about an hour, walked through the yard, explained what needed to be done and gave me an estimate of $200. He said he would be able to do the work the next day and called later in the day to confirm that I still wanted him to come. He and two other workers arrived by 7:00 am as promised and did a terrific job with the cleanup. They trimmed, weeded, and raked the landscape and removed all debris. Scott also fixed a couple of my sprinkler heads, planted a cactus at no extra charge and advised me on how to set the sprinklers for summer and winter. He made suggestions for fertilization of my plants, weed control, and even gave me ideas for plants that would fit into my desert landscape to replace those that had previously died. I will certainly have him do my yard work from now on and will certainly recommend him to my friends and neighbors. He does awesome work at a very reasonable price.

This is the 2nd time we have hired Scott. Our experience is consistent with other Angie List reviewers. He remember having been at our house 6 month previous. He had recommendations in terms of tree trimming and new plant. Price is very fair. Scott is very reliable. Our yard looks terrific. Took a little more than 1 hour

See above--after waltzing with two lesser vendors over the years, Sound Landscaping was far superior. Deal with confidence~!

Very well. I thought that he wasn't going to show up as he said he would be there next week, but I hadn't heard from anyone by the following Friday, so I called and almost cancelled. He said he had planned to be there on Saturday, as one of his crew had back problems and they couldn't make it before then, so I retained them. They showed up about 9AM instead of after 1PM, and all work was done by his crew in a couple of hours. I wasn't expecting the oleanders to be cut back at that time, as bulk trash pick-up was in another month, but they trimmed back one side of the yard and removed the debris. My yard is now in very good shape compared to what the former yard guy had been doing. MANY Thanks!!! The only thing that could have been better would have been to call me sooner to confirm when they would actually get here to do the job. His crew were very thorough and efficient.

This was the second time I've hired Scott, and they were great both times. On time, thorough, informative, and worth every penny. Great guys to work with.

The experience was great. I emailed them at 1am on Tuesday to try and beat the rush for service. Scott called me around 7:15 am on Tuesday and was out by 8:00am to give me an estimate. We received a few other estimate and theirs was much lower than some other compaines I spoke with. I called Scott back on Wednesday morning at 7:30 to tell him to do the work. His crew was there by 8:30 and did a great job. Very happy with the work done and they did not go over the estimate they provided even though it took more time.

Scott was very responsive and punctual. His crew arrived at the scheduled time and did a thorough and excellent job of cleaning up my patio area. Scott had extimated that the job would take 3 to 3,1/2 hrs. The work was completed in the latter time. The cleanup was complete and very thorough. I am completle satisfied and plan to call upon him for marintaining my patio in the Spring.
