Right off, I will say they did a fabulous Job. Right from the beginning with the first talk with JD, to seeing the installation crew install, it has been an easy, relaxing project for my wife and I. The whole crew is very caring and did a professional job. I received 3 bids on this project. I don?t always pick the lowest bid. I need to feel a trust. I usually get most of this trust from talking with the contractor and reading reviews. JD and company fit the bill with the lowest bid. If anyone has a patio cover they need installed, Sonoran Shade and Screen through Angi is the right choice. On the criticism side of this project?. In all honesty, there really isn?t a criticism. It all went off without a hitch. We even hired them again to install another patio cover! They are the best. Other companies might be really good but they are not better than Sonoran Shade and Screen.

Called JD owner for consultation, developed a detailed plan, approved estimate, secured HOA approval, ordered material (couple weeks), set install date, final plan review, crew installed project, fantastic clean- up, walk thru & approval. They went right to work when they showed up. They worked very hard. They finished the job successfully cleaned up the work area thatâ s for the workers Yesterday. Awning was put on the east side of the house and when I checked the walls this morning they were all cool rather than hot for the day so the awnings are doing what theyâ re supposed to be doing that my house does not look lopsided. From our first meeting Jeff laid out the design plan and pricing for our project to install a Duralum patio cover. He took care of communicating with the HOA and obtaining the building permit. The installer Dale did a great job of putting the project together. We are more than pleased with the completed job.

JD was awesome to work with . His crew did a wonderful job. Our experience with the new patio cover has turned out to be amazing. The job was done on time and the clean up was excellent. I would recommend JD and his crew to any of our friends and family.

J.D took his time to explain different types of aluminum awnings. Installation was completed in one day.His crew was efficient and left it clean. I would not hesitate to hire him again. I highly recommend him. Oh, the awning is awesome.

JD handled the initial visit to the house. He quoted a cost within our budgeted amount. He managed installation of the metal patio cover from start to finish. JD did a great job!

J.D. reached out to me, and was patient after our initial meeting to estimate our project. J.D's price was reasonable & after my wife & I decided to move forward with the project he came out once more to confirm our requests and to make final measurements. We placed our 1/2 down deposit on 5/11/2021 and he informed us that it may take up to 30 days for materials to arrive. J.D. delivered the material to our home on 6/8/2021 and we agreed on an install date, when I would be home. J.D. and his crew completed the whole job on 6/11/2021. Very nice work, and we are very happy with our completed project.

Arrangements were made to install a cover for the driveway. From our first communication, I was adamant that approval be obtained from City of Tempe. Upon meeting, the company owner expressed his opinion that this was not necessary. Two months and 7 days later, I cancelled the agreement because we were not going to be able to agree on this detail. I found this company name on Angie's List; owner called me to say that he could do the job I required. At the first conversation, I told him I did not want to run afoul of the City of Tempe and that I wanted to be sure all their regulations were followed. At this time, he agreed, but with each meeting and phone call after that, he tried to dissuade me of the necessity of going through the proper channels with the City. About two months after we first meet, he suggested that I needed to consider whether I wanted to continue. After careful consideration, and communication both with other residents of Tempe who had had work done on their property as well as with employees at the City office, I decided to cancel the project. I informed the owner via written communication and requested a return of the down payment ($2300 - half of the proposed cost, no including tax) It took two more months and several messages left before I received any of my funds. With the cashier's check, he enclosed a letter stating that he was keeping $371.00. I immediately let him know that this was not appropriate and have received no response to date.

Great experience. Patio cover is exactly what I wanted. It was installed on schedule. JD is very easy to work with. The installer was quick and neat. I highly recommend Sonoran Shade and Screen.

Great work and looks great. Very happy. Once the material was in, the job was done in 1 day 2/3/2021 ( about 2 months later) first rain the gutter was not flowing correctly but instead, overflowing towards the door. Have spoken to the installer George twice, but have never heard from the owner, and am now waiting for them to fix the problems.

JD at Sonoran Sun and Shade provided outstanding customer service. He was very responsive, showed up on time and was very personable to deal with. Jorge did an amazing ob on the install and was very patient and pleasant when answering my many questions. Thank you again for our beautiful awning. We can now enjoy our patio!

The price seemed reasonable and they did a good job. All in all, I am really pleased with my new covered patio.

I had been wanting to replace my old ugly patio awning for quite some time. I found Sonoran Shade & Screen on Home Advisor and was contacted by JD, the owner of the company. He came to my home and I was impressed with his knowledge and expertise. The following week George and PJ dismantled my old awning, and the next morning put a beautiful pergola in its place!!! I am so extremely pleased with how it turned out!!
