Sonoran Shade & Screen

Our project was a white patio cover 47'x12'x8' as well as window shade covers for the front back and side of our house. I worked with JD and George. JD is the owner and ever since our first conversation my wife and we knew this was the perfect choice. JD did everything we asked him to do and he listened to our dreams for our backyard paradise. He provided us with a perfect plan to build what we told him we wanted. He was helpful in providing us with ideas for certain things we had not thought of as well as answering any questions we had throughout the process. The price was amazing for the product that was provided and JD was a pleasure to have in our home. I will absolutely be coming back for projects I have in the future. George was our builder and he was very polite and organized. George knew the plan and was very polite professional and had great communication with us letting us know what he was doing and when he was doing it as well as notifying us when he was coming and going. He was able to complete the project in 3 days. My wife and I are thankful to both JD and George for their dedication to build us our perfect patio cover and look forward to doing business again some day soon. If you are looking for a great man to do business with then JD is your man.

JD is a pleaser. He listens to your description of what you are looking for and tries to accommodate. He also explains why what you are asking for might be problematic. He is diplomatic in doing so and offers alternative solutions. He associates himself with very respectful and hard working employees.

JD was very quick to respond to my inquiry for a quote. He and another company came out on the same day and his quote was about 50% less. He asked for pictures of the patio and then really worked to give me ideas that he thought I might like. The aluma-wood had a great selection of colors. The product arrived within a few weeks and his installers were prompt and polite. The job was finished in half a day and weâ re thrilled with the result.

We met JD at the Maricopa Home & Garden Show and were impressed from the start. He came out at our convenience and measured our patio. The timing was perfect and his crew was fantastic. They removed an old retractable awning and built a new pergola over our patio. We are so pleased with the product and the way it enhances the appearance of our home. It has made the patio more comfortable and usable. We have received many compliments on it. The work was done professionally and quickly by a team who knew their job. We would certainly recommend the product and company to others.

He did come in under everyone else. Had a young man do all the work. Did not finish that day and said he would be back the next day. Did not show. JD said fired the young man. So I asked JD if he would finish the awning installation. Said he had a bad back and that I would have to hire someone else. I threatened him by saying I would turn him into ROC but that did not bother him one bit. I still have avery leaky awning and the rain gutter has a gap of about 1 1/2-2 34; whereas it is next to impossible to clean without cutting my hands. /and the Gupper near the outer end was drilled out with a 3/4" bit so very little could flow thru. My recommendation is stay away from JD (Sonoran Awning.. Bad news.

JD did a great job helping me get an approval from my HOA. They were hard to convince and he contacted them to assure them the Alumawood pergoloa is not junk. He spoke to them a couple of times to provide the information they requested. The Pergola looks great and I'm very happy with the result and would recommend him to anyone.

Met JD at the Home Show. We chatted and he came to our house and gave us an estimate. We signed and the project proceeded. His crew is excellent and do quality work. Took 2 days to complete. They installed and cleaned up after completion. We highly recommend JD and Sonoran Shade.

I hired Sonora shade & screen to install a patio cover. JD the owner came out and gave me a very reasonable quote which was a lot cheaper than other quotes I received. JD was very easy to work with and if I ever had a problem He was right on top of it. They did an excellent job I was very happy with. JD came back out to make sure everything was correct. I would use them again .

Perfect job. Organized! Professional! Nice clean up! Quality material. Our two very hot days. Job done in a about a day. Came back the next day to finish up small details. We are so happy with the cover to our porch. JD is great. His worker Matt is a perfectionist to detail. Classy!

My wife and I have been building a new backyard and hired JD to install our patio cover. JD appreciated the pride we took in our own projects and our patio was built with that idea in mind. He took the time to get to know us and learn about what we had accomplished and our vision toward the future completion of our dream backyard. The actual installation of the patio cover was handled by Matt. Matt was very polite and thorough in his duty. He used his allocated work space efficiently, left the area in better condition than he found it, and built a patio cover which has exceeded my expectations. It has already rained all over my patio cover. I feel confident in saying there are no structural issues, no aesthetic issues, and no safety issues. The bottom line is this. I was able to get the patio cover I wanted without compromise and within my budget. It has been a genuine pleasure.

Very nice job. Completed the project in 5 hours. I am very satisfied with the workmanship. UPGRADE: Follow up to review left in Oct 2018. Once it started to rain, cover leaks like a sieve. Have contacted owner twice and no relief of problem.

We had them install a pergola at our current home as well as our previous home. They're made of Alumawood....excellent quality, withstands the harsh Arizona sun/heat beautifully and continues to look good year after year. Working with JD is great! He's very friendly, reliable, knowledgeable and offers a great price!
