+ -1 moreA friend and neighbor had used Soft Water Plus (Pete) and recommended them. We had 4 companies give us a quote. It took a week for them to come by and quote (but they told us this up front). Pete's price was $1400 installed with a 5 yr warranty on everything. He answered all our questions and didn't try to oversell. Once the choice was made he handled the install the following week which went smooth. The unit is working great.

+ 0 morePete has been our go-to guysince 2011. He has installed a soft water system, a reverse osmosis system, has replaced a hot water tank. We wouldn’t consider going to another company ever. Pete Schneider and his crew are very competent and professional.

+ -1 moreBad. Dealer basically tried the “I know my job and you’re wrong” attitude. Don’t buy this product!
Description of Work: My father-in-laws and ours has a problem that the dealer tells us isn’t his fault. We have a black film that is in the toilet tank and ends up in our toilet bowls. My father-in-Law showed me where the charcoal, or what ever that is in the system tank, has been going down. I can’t see in ours where the charcoal started but am pretty sure it is doing the same thing. Our old water softener, which was 20 years old, never did this. Really never had problems either. I paid over $3000.00 for this unit and am very unhappy. I would not recommend this product.

+ 0 moreThe work went very well. The price was fair, but not the cheapest. However, I was confident the work would be done well and it was. I was very appreciative that he brought the water pressure problem to my attention and was so fair in pricing the fix.
Description of Work: Pete, the owner, came to my home and evaluated my needs for water softening. As my home was not built with a "loop," installing one required modifying the water pipes. I had other contractors come but he was the first to look in the attic to see how best it could be installed. He gave me several options to consider. After selecting the softener we wanted, he installed it as proposed with a neat installation. While he was doing the work, he noticed that the water pressure to our house is very high. He offered to install a pressure regulator at an extra cost. I'm always leary of add-ons but I happened to have another contractor here looking at other work. He assured me that the problem is real and the cost was much lower than I would find elsewhere. With that affirmation, we moved ahead with the regulator.
