My wife called the company in response to a $19.95 "Summer Tune-Up Special" Ad that they had published. She specifically asked if their special included inspecting/oiling the air-handler equipment on a split-unit system, which they said it did. (The air-handler is in the "attic space" above the living area.) They said they would be out the next morning. When they did not show up the next day, my wife called again, and was told that they had no record of the appointment (they were having "computer problems"). Another appointment was made for the following morning (Friday). The technician that came out told her that three items needed to be replaced: two capacitors and a contractor, for a total of $616.95, and he did the work (on the invoice, they were listed as "Recommendations"). When I got home from work, she told me about the service call. When I asked about the air-handler unit, she told me that the technician never went into the "attic space." She also said that she had started hearing a dripping sound that afternoon from the ceiling below the air-handler, and there was a spot on the ceiling. I called the company on Saturday and explained, and they said they would send the technician's supervisor out on Tuesday. He came out, apologized for the missed part of the inspection, and checked the unit. He said that the dripping was coming from the condenser (which is normal), but the water was not draining because the drain line for the drip pan was not level. He (blew-out" the drain line and said that the entire unit would have to be re-installed for &750, or replaced with a new unit for $6,651. He left us with his suggestions, and we called a competitor, which was highly-rated on Angie's List. The competitor's technician said he did not know how the original tech could have created the problem, but said he could fix it by replacing part of the drain line for about $200, which he did. He also tested the parts that had been replaced (we always ask to keep parts which have been replaced) and showed us that two of them actually were still operable, were within specifications, and did not need to be replaced. We have not had a problem since then.

They are very reliable, prompt, responsible, and honest people. We are under an agreement where they will come before their scheduled time if I need them. I like them a lot and I would recommend him to everyone.

Manuel arrived earlier than the expected time. This was very welcome since our air conditioner was not working. He was very professional. He explained everything he was doing as he did it. He explained what happened to the unit that caused it to fail. Everything is running perfectly. We liked the service so much we took a maintenance agreement with the company.

SIERRA RESPONDED PROMPTLY WHEN I CALLED AND THE TECHNICIAN CALLED ME WITHIN A FEW MINUTES. I WAS MOVED TO THE FRONT OF THE SERVICE LINE DUE TO THE WEATHER THAT DAY AND HAD COLD AIR RUNNING WITHIN 3 HOURS OF CALLING THEM.

ABLE TO COME QUICKLY. RECOMMENDED BY ANOTHER ELECTRIC COMPANY. EXPLAINED EVERYTHING, AND TOOK THEIR TIME.

I HAVE USED SIERRA FOR 10 YEARS. ON THIS VISIT, AS ON ALL OTHERS, THEY WERE PROMPT AND COURTEOUS. THE PART WAS UNDER WARRANTY SO THE COST WAS FOR LABOR ONLY. I WAS WITHOUT A/C FOR ONLY ONE NIGHT BECAUSE I HAVE A SERVICE CONTRACT, WHICH GIVES ME A HIGHER PRIORITY THAN CUSTOMERS WHO DO NOT. SERVICE PERSONNEL TOOK TIME TO EXPLAIN TO ME EXACTLY, IN LAYMEN'S TERMS, WHAT WAS WRONG AND WHAT NEEDED TO BE DONE.
