+ 2 moreNaomi Siegler is the owner. We chose them because we had a coupon deal from Angie’s List. We didn’t need anything major but she had a consultation coupon so we went ahead and did that. She gave us ideas on what we were looking for and helped us formulate design plans. She provided us with some website links where we could go and look at different products. She gave us some websites where we could look for used furniture and windows. We spent about $299 for 3 hours plus follow up. We would refer them.
Description of Work: We used Siegler Design Services + Interiors for initial consultation, design and lighting ideas.

Description of Work: In order to expedite an appointment, we paid the regular price and did not use the Angie's List discount. Naomi arrived on time and was generous with her time as we discussed color selections to make the interior of our new home brighter. She also offered useful suggestions for other design considerations. But there were some major issues. We did not feel she was as flexible in the color discussions as we would have liked and expected of a professional. Worse, a major part of what was promised - both verbally as well as on her website - was follow up in the form of sending us lists of resources, colors and materials. But when Naomi left, that was the last we ever heard from her. No mail, no email, no materials. Very disappointing and ultimately a waste of more than $200.

+ -1 moreThis was a wonderful experience! We took advantage of a Angie's List Special Offer of 2 Hours with Naomi - Seigler Design Services & Interiors - for $99. Naomi is a pro with a great eye and really listens to what you want to do with your rooms and asks good questions too. We needed help with a mobile home we recently purchased. We had more than a few ideas for color choices and window treatments but couldn't decide where and how to start. We also wanted to rework our bathrooms. Our meeting started right on time and Naomi went through the home with us - asking focusing questions and really listening to our ideas and tastes. Then we sat down to discuss the possibilities- narrowing down our color choices to 4 main colors (as opposed to 30-40 we liked!), window covering options, bathroom vanities, furniture changes etc. The plans we came up with were not overly expensive either. For example, for one bathroom, we didn't need a whole new vanity - a faucet and mirror change and a little paint would help create the look we wanted. The meeting is helping us to move on to the next step - from just the "thinking about it" to relaization. From "where do I start" to a more focused plan. That is wonderful for us. My husband, who is normally not that excited about interior design, was very impressed. He appreciated Naomi's professional suggestions and opinions. Her knowledge and experience, along with her talent to match, was so helpful. Naomi spent a full two hours+ with us. We felt the value of her service that day was probably more like $ 350/400 - The $99 was an exraordinary deal! I recomend Naomi with complete confidence and would like to use her services more extensively again in the future.

During the entire process, I felt that she cared just as much, or even more than I did, about designing my bathroom well. She was very down-to-earth and approachable and communciated very well, and I enjoyed working with her!

Description of Work: I purchased the special online for a 3 hr consultation with Naomi at our home. She was very insightful, extremely helpful and her wonderful personality made it so enjoyable. I had never met with an interior designer and was wonderfully surprised at how much fun it could be. We went through the rooms and discussed what my immediate needs were and also what I would hope to do in the future. Naomi spent a great deal of time with us discussing color themes, where to apply them, what colors would be best and she had so many samples that we were able to put them on the wall or by our furnishings/pictures to get an idea of how they would look. The time went by so quickly. She is truly a pleasure to work with and I look forward to contacting her again. I am very grateful for having found the special offer online and for getting the chance to meet with Naomi. I would highly recommend her services.

+ -1 morePrior to Naomi's onsite visit, she asked several key questions about the rooms that I was going to have her help with design concepts. There were several e-mails exchanged and she began to suggest ideas and links that would be beneficial to the overall design three rooms. She arrived and she seemed to have a sense of what I wanted, which was practical, inexpensive but aesthetic. She began with the long corridors and help me establish it as a gallery for family photos. She also suggested ledges in combination with the photographs because of the plethora of photos available and the ease of switching them out frequently with minimal effort. She then suggested for a new area rug ( she recommended New Zealand wool) for the family room and then using the colors our of the carpet build the rest of the color scheme for our furniture. She suggested reupholstering the cushions on our solid wood furniture. Next, she help us pick our a complimentary paint color for our kitchen to match the different wood tones in our cabinets, door and furniture as well as the counter top. Lastly, she helped me create more richness by adding layers to make an area more distinct in the great room. She suggested have one area be the music section, the other a dining section and the last area a reading area. She utilized the large room by creating three distinct zones but also making recommendation to accommodate the 13 foot ceilings. The next day she e-mailed me a complete list of her recommendations along with links to various venders. Overall, this was a wonderful experience for someone who is challenged in design concepts and has gotten me excited to make some very positive changes to our home.
Description of Work: Naomi help me establish designs for my kitchen, family room and great room that were practical for a family of seven as well as aesthetic, within our budget. The value of this service was worth over $350 and I paid only $100.00!

Description of Work: I purchased a big deal with the intent of getting some color consultation. Her attitude was "paint is paint". She was very annoyed with us. She also got really upset when we were unable to at our house because we were working.

She understood what I was looking for and offered many options as well as opinions on things I should or shouldn't do so that I might get the most "bang for the buck". She was quite friendly and personable as well as professional and she clearly had an extensive working knowledge of resources available locally. She warned me off of some things I was considering and I can see that she is absolutely correct in her assessment of how to best accomplish what I want. She has been sending me information online concerning helpful links for items we had discussed. I will certainly be using her again as my home interior projects progress.
Description of Work: Naomi offered assistance in updating 3 bathrooms for me as well as a large fireplace. She helped me in picking paint colors and surface materials to use in renovating these areas. After our meeting she contacted me with links to certain stores or service providers that have been quite helpful. She also sent me pictures of sample finishes and looks that we had discussed.

We appreciated her patience and thoughtful questions that helped us discover our personal decorating styles. The time just flew by as we moved from one area to another, exploring our ideas and learning from Naomi. Thanks to Angies List for another great match-up!
Description of Work: We bought the $100 special offer for consultation services. We just purchased a new home and wanted to get a professional's opinion on how we can decorate the space. Naomi arrived at the time she said she would be there. She help us understand that our style was organic, simple, modern, explaining that one of us appreciated negative space more than the other, which has caused differences of opinion in the past. This revelation really helped us understand how we needed to proceed with our project. Naomi helped us with window covering suggestions, accent wall choices, paint color options, art placement, and built-in considerations. We also discussed the best use of our current furniture pieces and suggestions for additional pieces. Her knowledge of Phoenix and the vendors available to us was extremely helpful. She followed up by emailing us many websites that will help us make the best selections for our home. We plan to contract with her to help us with our project, but wanted everyone to know that the coupon was well worth the money! David and Kathy Franzen

+ -1 moreI found Naomi Siegler on the Modern Phoenix web site. I liked the way she answered questions that popped up in the online forums and decided to meet with her. I had bought a 1959 condo that needed a complete rehab. I knew that I wanted something really modern, and I mostly needed a design professional to help me coordinate colors and give me other ideas for the job. Naomi had so many ideas that I would have never thought of. Plus, she kept me from making mistakes that might have been costly to re-do later on. She did a space plan of the living room to help me decide what size the furniture should be. She also helped me deal with the contractor that was actually doing the construction work (getting the work done was quite stressful). She did many more things that I can't remember right now, but all of it was thoughtful and valuable. I was reluctant to pay any interior designer at first, because I thought I should be able to do this on my own. But, the money I spent was definitely worth it. She spends a lot of time with you, both in person, and through e-mail. Naomi also gets trade discounts that she passed on to me (the biggest one was through Arizona Tile, which saved me enough to almost pay Naomi's fee). To sum up, it was a great experience and a great value. Warmly recommended.

The challenge I gave her was to create an attractive and interesting window treatment for the large sliding glass door in our bedroom. I emailed Naomi paint information, measurements and a picture of our furniture to give her a sense of our style. Very quickly she got back to us with fabric samples for the draperies, three original, beautiful designs for the cornice and a budget proposal. Once we agreed to proceed with the project, Naomi came out and met with us, and did the final measurements. About a month later, the draperies and cornice were completed. The fabrication and installation were flawless. The cornice is truly a work of art in natural cherry, showcasing Naomi's artistic vision and carpenter Mark's exceptional artistry. The design references our furniture and complements the draperies. The finished product wildly exceeded our expectations and is truly a piece of art. Working with Naomi and Mark was a complete pleasure. They are both gifted and talented artists. In addition, they are lovely and interesting people. They listened to our needs, gave us lots of options, responded quickly and patiently to our questions and were mindful of our budget. I would love to work with them again. Thanks Naomi and Mark for taking an architectural eyesore and turning it into the stunning focal point of our private space.

When I inherited the project of fixing up a horribly neglected rental home, I hired Naomi because I was pressed for time, and wow, I couldn't have been more pleased. Hiring her was the best decision I made on the whole project! Not only did Naomi save me time, she saved me money too, and best of all, the place looks fantastic! Her years of experience and her resources really made the difference, I never could have done it without her. Her ideas were creative, fresh, and practical. And she's so organized that everything ran more smoothly w/ her on the job. I will absolutely use Siegler Design again, and recommend her highly to my friends.

+ 9 moreIt went extraordinarly smooth. Amazingly smooth. Naomi took care of everything. She supervised all the workers. There isn't much to tell as Naomi really did it all. I just got to enjoy the finished product and instead of worrying about all the details I was able to enjoy just playing with my kids!
Description of Work: Naomi is the heart and brains and genius behind Siegler Design Services + INTERIORS. I had found out about her through the forums at modernphoenix.net as she was always meticulously answering questions regarding space design and interiors. But my project was extra special. I had a new house that I wanted to feel like a retreat for myself and yet be durable and friendly for my two young kids. And, design wise, it was tricky because I love modern but I also had a 200-year-old chandelier that I wanted to use and a table top from my grandmother (who definitely did not like modern!). Enter Naomi and now what I have is my dream home. She made my house into a modern, eclectic retreat. Ironically I never thought of myself as a person who needed a designer. And so with my first house I did it all myself - chose the paint, carpet, furniture...And within a year I hated it. It was not child friendly, not people friendly. It was so disastrous that I knew either that I had to do it again or sell. I was lucky enough to sell my house and now I had a new palette to begin with. Now I understood how a competent designer can not only create a magical space, but also save you money in the long run. Naomi spent an inordinate amount of time with me, showing me her vision and how it would work. And when we couldn't find off the shelf products she designed them and had them built (and they were no more expensive than what the off the shelf products cost, plus the quality is amazing). She oversaw the carpenter, the ironsmith, the electrician, the stone craftsman. Now, almost two years after my dining room has been complete I still look over and smile at the radiant space that she designed. Yes, it is that good. And my living room is magnificent, complete with a meditation wall, a custom made TV cabinet and designed in such a way that you feel the space is opening up on you. She also designed my backyard furniture, which I plan on gifting to my children - it is built that well. She is currently working with me on my daughter's bedroom after helping create my children's playroom where everything has a place! Honestly I can't say enough nice comments about Naomi. She introduced me into the world of design and has helped make my house a my dream home.
