Appliance Repair recommendation goes to Runyon Appliance Repair! 602-258-1520. Our 2 year old Whirpool lost temperature and was under warranty. The warranty company sent out a Appliance repair co (not naming them) and the tech pushed a "reset" button and left. Still 50 degrees, they closed out our ticket so we had to start all over. Runyon came out and replaced the broken parts UNTIL they got it working, properly on Friday. This morning, (Monday) they called to make sure it was working properly BEFORE they closed out the ticket!! That's the customer service we love. Use Runyon, you won't be sorry.

A moment ago I bought a protection plan through Lowes for my refrigerator. Unfortunately this is who they sent to repair it. I explained what wasn't working and they refused to listen. They came out about 6 times and replaced pieces that were nowhere near the issue, and still have a refrigerator that is not working after 6 months of them coming to my home. Had an appt with them Monday. Waited around 4 hours for the call. They never called. Called them and they said the tech had already been there and nobody was home. I said I know they were supposed to call me 30 min ahead so I could go meet them for the repairs. He apologized and we rescheduled to today and was told they would call on the way. When I called todsy to see why they haven't called, they said they cancelled my appt, and decided to close the claim since I wasn't there for the appt Monday. I told them I spoke to someone Monday and it was rescheduled to today and he had agreed it wasn't my fault since they hadn't called me. So why would they just cancel my appt today and not advise me? Now here I am with a fridge still not working after 6 months and they've made all the money off of all of the work they did which had nothing to do with the issue going on. Do not use them, they are scammers, incompetent, and have very poor customer service skills and do not know how to treat people.

I have dealt with this company due to my extended warranty for appliances through Lowe’s. If given a choice, I would have selected another company to work on my apply. This company is unprofessional, lack communication skills and one of their representatives that I currently dealt with lack’s honesty. Lowe’s lost me as a customer because of this company.
Description of Work: So far nothing. They can out after they rescheduled. I only knew they were rescheduling because “I” called to confirm if they were coming but they said they weren’t but didn’t think to reschedule. They have done this to me before so this is why I called them. Anyway, parts were supposedly ordered but it’s been over a month and they still haven’t came out.

Background info: My fridge water and ice machine line keep pumping out air so I haven't use the water line and ice machine since it been down, right before that, I just replace the water filter in the fridge. I have a double french door fridge on top and freezer compartment on the bottom. I call my home warranty company and was assigned Runyon Appliance through them. The tech originally came out to look at it, diagnose is as a a bad water filter, and I told him it couldn't be as I just replace the water filter not even 2 weeks since till that date. After further looking, he said it was the valve box and he need to order the parts. Great, no problems. 2-3 weeks later he came back out to replace the valve box but the issues still persist and he keep saying it the water filter as I try to argue it couldn't be. He work on it some more, and now everything is good. Steady flow of water, so not a water filter issue after all. He said he still need to come back to replace an electrical filter as my fridge is not getting the correct wattage it suppose to, so when that part came he will let me know. This is when things went DOWNHILL. After he left, I turn on the ice machine and a couple hours later when I open the freezer, it was frozen over. I call the tech and ask him to come back to see what going on when he have a chance because that isn't right but he said he supervisor have to decide that and he will let him know to call me the next day. Fair enough, I waited a couple of hours after they open, no calls. I called them, and the rep said a supervisor will call me back that day. TWO weeks later, still no calls, despite me calling them and keep asking for a supervisor, but the only thing they can do is to leave a sticky on his desk to call me back as he is out servicing other jobs. I tried email, no luck either. For a supervisor to be so busy to find time to answer a 5 min phone calls in 2 weeks, that is absurd! But wait, it get better. The supervisor never call, but in those 2 weeks, a rep call to inform me that my valve box have arrive and they need to schedule someone out to install my valve box AFTER they already installed it the week prior, I even confirm if he meant the electrical filter the tech mention, but nope, he mean the valve box. At this point I'm so done, I ask for him to please have the super call me so we can discuss what is going on here, but you probably already guess it, no calls. The tech and rep are just doing their job but I'm very disappointed at the supervisor and company management.

Description of Work: My washing machine broke... was leaking from the seal around the front (front loader). Called my home warranty company on Sunday who assigned Runyon appliance and I received an email saying I'd hear from them in 4 hours. Monday afternoon I still had not heard from the appliance company so I called them and the soonest appointment they had was friday so I took it. Thursday I got an email stating someone would be at my home between 2-5pm, then they called to confirm and I said that would be fine. I had someone come and stay at my house and by 5pm no one had shown. I called and was told by the worker that he had 10 jobs that day and was running late but could be there by 530...would that be okay. I called my house and my friend was able to stay till then so I called the worker back and said fine. Fast forward to 620 and still no one had arrived. I called the worker back and he told me he would be there in 5 more minutes. I told him not to bother as my friend could no longer stay for the worker to actually complete any of the job. I asked the worker why he hadn't called me when he got delayed AGAIN! and he apologized but had no reason to have left me uninformed. I called my home warranty company back and asked for a different company.

Description of Work: They were supposed to be the provider of service for a hefty warranty I purchased on 5 new pieces of kitchen appliances. I hated using them but if I wanted warranty service I was stuck with them. They were slow to respond in every case. They never had the part in stock. It often took weeks for them to make and appointment and more weeks for them to get the part. And I visit never seemed to solve the problem. This time I asked to pay cash out of my own pocket to circumvent the long process..... they took my money and STILL never finished the job. They blamed it on Bankers Warranty the company for whom they do the work. They all suck. They were never on time, never had the part, one appointment gave way to another and another and the job wasn't done. I fired them and went elsewhere. DON'T USE THIS COMPANY. THEY'RE AWFUL

Experienced a dishwasher failure for the 4th time in 10 years. We have a warranty with One Guard and they sent Runyon to diagnose the problem. For the second time in less than a year the drain pump on our and lt; 5 yr old Whirlpool dishwasher died. Rather than another $300+ repair, One Guard opted to replace the unit. Once I selected the new model, Runyon acted quickly and sent someone out with the new unit in a couple days. The installer was friendly, thorough, quick and cleaned up after himself. He also pointed out a faulty install performed by another provider that most likely resulted in the drain pump failure. It's obvious they care about what they do. Would consider them for future appliance repairs/installations.
Description of Work: Diagnosed faulty dishwasher. Installed new dishwasher.

Refrigerator stopped working. No second refrigerator so needed repair. Have home warranty and called them Thursday evening, they selected Runyon and said Runyon will contact us. We expected not to have service that night but certainly next morning. Going on noon and no contact from Runyon. We called them; and quot; oh yea, we were just going to call youand quot; Discuss need and and quot; we'll be there Mondayand quot;. But we have no refrigerator! Called home warranty back and they found another company. This company, no kidding, was at our house in 15 minutes. Repair was 30 minutes. By 1 PM we had refrigerator back to normal. I certainly can't speak for Runyon quality of repair but I will convey that their customer service needs improvement.

The technician was very friendly and professional. I felt confident while watching him make the repair that he was competent. All repairs were taken care of within two hours and parts ordered same day. He returned a week later to complete the repairs. I wouldn't hesitate using them again if future repairs are needed.
Description of Work: Repaired my dishwasher, range, microwave and icemaker.

This company as referred by our Home Warranty Co. Couldn't get an appt with them for a week. They were here for 5 min, said it was the pump. I kept making appointments with them to install it and they never showed. I would make an appointment for Monday and they never showed up. I would call and they'd say they were too booked up to come. I made an appointment for Tuesday and they never showed. Said they were too booked up, that kept going on for four appointments. Finally called home warranty company and re-booked with someone else. They made no accommodations for breaking their appointment and refused to move someone else to meet with appointment they made with me. Home warranty company called them to ask them about this and they never gave any reason for not showing up. I would never use them again. They other company was great; Arizona Mechanical in Phoenix AZ.
Description of Work: They were to replace the pump in my GE dishwasher.

This was one of the worst repair experiences I have ever been witness to. The repairman, George, threw a very theatrical "hissy fit", because the appliance had been turned off. How was he supposed to perform his "diagnostics" if the appliance had been turned off? We had turned off the refrigerator because of the noise the motor had been making, and there was water all over the floor. He treated me like I was a complete moron, made me play a guessing game as to why he could not "do his job". The he erupted into this tirade about why he could not fix the refrigerator. What a prima donna!!! He was insulted!!! He was arrogant, rude and wouldn't leave my home until I raised my voice and told him to get out. He had paperwork to fill out!!! I had to tell him three time, the third time very loudly to leave. Finish his paperwork outside.
Description of Work: My Whirlpool refrigerator/freezer was not working, an extended warranty had been purchased when the appliance had been purchased (from Lowe's), and Runyon was contacted to perform the repairs. No services were performed, unless you count a theatrical performance by the "repairman", George.

The technician arrived for the initial appointment in the time frame he said he would and took a look at the refrigerator. He said that he would come back to install the part when it became available. Several days later he called to set up an appointment to make the repair, arrived promptly and even helped me take everything out of the fridge. He was very pleasant to work with and the refrigerator is working fine.
Description of Work: Runyon's sent a technician to diagnose a problem we were having with our refrigerator and make a repair.

George the service person was polite, prompt and efficient. He did the whole operation in 15 minutes! No hassle and a pleasant experience. This kind of service is usually wait, wait, wait. Not so this time. I will hire them again.
