 + -1 moreI tried to get a moen shower temperature controller out of the valve by myself without success. I called RKS, they ordered the part and within a week the plumber came and removed the old cartridge and replaced it with the new one. The old one was stuck and was very difficult to remove but it only took the plumber a little over an hour to complete the work.
Description of Work: Replacement of shower temperature controller.

 + -1 moreTHREE DAYS LATER NOTICED LEAK UNDER KITCHEN SINK THAT HAD CAUSED DAMAGE TO CABINET. CALLED, THEY SENT A PLUMBER THAT MORNING. PLUMBER #2 FIXED A PIPE IMPROPERLY INSTALLED AND A ''SCREW HOLE'' LEAK. SAID HE ''TOOK EXCEPTION'' TO THE DAMAGE TO THE CABINET BEING THE RESULT OF THIS LEAK. COULD HAVE BEEN CAUSED BY THE ''INITIAL LEAK'' THEY WERE CALLED OUT TO FIX. HE WAS UNAWARE AND MADE PRESUMPTIONS OF THE INITIAL SERVICE CALL. HE DIDN'T ''ADVISE'' ME TO FOLLOW UP WITH THE OFFICE JUST DISMISSED ME WITH IT. MY OVERALL FEELING? I CAN FIX LEAKY PIPES, THE LABOR WON'T COST ME ANYTHING AND NO ONE WILL CALL ME A LIAR IN MY OWN HOME. I NEITHER WANT TO HEAR FROM THIS COMPANY NOR WILL I RECOMMEND THEM.
Description of Work: CALLED TO HAVE R.O. SYSTEM INSTALLED IN KITCHEN AND LEAKY WASHER FAUCETS REPAIRED. PLUMBER #1 DID NOT WANT TO INSTALL R.O. SYSTEM WITHOUT INSTRUCTIONS OR MAKE A HOLE IN THE CORIAN. SO I ASKED HIM TO FIX THE WASHER FAUCETS AND TO REPLACE THE DRAIN RINGS IN THE KITCHEN SINK SINCE ONE WAS TARNISHED. PLUS LOOK AT THE TOILET SEAL WHILE HE WAS HERE AND TO FIX THE TUB FAUCET.

 + -1 moreTIM HANNEY CAME OUT AT THE TIME SCHEDULED, EXPLAINED TO ME THE PROBLEM, TOLD ME THE COST OF THE FIX AND PERFORMED NECESSARY SERVICES. HE WAS VERY PROFESSIONAL, EXPERIENCED, ON TIME AND THE PROBLEM WAS SOLVED. THE OVERALL EXPERIENCE WAS EXCEPTIONAL.
