Rideout Air Conditioning

My realtor recommended I have these guys look at the AC in my new home. They were very professional on the phone. My problem is that they say that they looked at my AC unit and then quoted me $1200 to fix the leak and fill it with freon. I was a little skeptical because it didn't look like anyone had touched the AC unit. I recently got a second opinion and they fixed it for less than $100. THERE WAS NO LEAK AND IT WAS FULL OF FREON. If anyone needs AC repair/service, I would highly recommend NOT using this company.

This is a family-owned business we've used for several years to service and repair of our 30-year-old heating and cooling unit. They are always prompt, courteous and helpful. When the time came to replace our old system, I researched several other companies, and got 3 additional estimates before hiring Rideout to do the job. They came in at the top, in my opinion, and I trust them. The job is finally done, and I'm extremely happy with the way things went. We like them. His name is Charles Rideout. They are just very reliable and very honest. They do thorough work. The new conditioner cost thousands of dollars. Our overall experience with them is excellent. With regard to price, we've never really compared prices; we've just have always gone with them.

They are super. I've known them for 30 - 40 year and they are really patient. They are a family run business. When they replaced my AC, I had 5 companies to give estimates but all of the companies, except Rideout, missed that fact that I had 3 phase electrical system. The old unit was actually over sized for the house and all the companies just gave me an estimate to get me a new AC the same size. Rideout came out and meticulously measure my home for about an hour and gave me the best recommendations. He also made the intake larger to make the system more efficient and make sure it was getting enough air.

We replaced 2 15-year-old TRANE systems with (2) 3 ton 17 SEER 2 stage American Standard systems. We got bids from 3 companies and realized quickly that we did not want to hire a company that sends out a salesman because we weren't sure exactly how the air handlers would be installed in our attics. Consumer Reports states that it is more important how the system is installed than what brand it is. (Although after reading customer reviews on line we knew we did not want Lennox.) We did not like any of the first 3 companies who gave bids, then had a neighbor recommend Rideout Air Conditioning. One of the owners, Paul, came out. We were very impressed with his knowledge and explanation of exactly how the air handlers/coils/heaters would be installed in the attics. They did a fantastic job. Our previous heater had mold in it since it was not hung level. Paul made sure the new systems are level and created a very sturdy base to go under them to be sure they stay level. Paul, also, explained that American Standard (owned byt the same company that manufactures TRANE) has an excellent extended warranty and has parts stores throughout the valley, making it his favorite choice. We are thrilled with our new system. Paul and his crew sealed around each of the ducts at the registers and made sure the air flow is balance. We no longer have hot spots in the summer or cold spots in the winter. The difference is amazing. We could not be happier with our new American Standard heaters and air conditioners and the way in which they were installed.

This company is reliable. They do great quality work, they are really fast workers, they told me exactly what they were doing and I felt that that was very considerate. The price is a little high but you get what you pay for.
