When he got here, it turned out that all that was needed was a new hose between the toilet and the wall. When the man came to take care of everything, I wasn't here. My husband informed me it only took him 5-10 minutes and he charged $157. I realize he had to charge for travel, but that is very steep. I thought that the charge was excessive! I even mentioned to him that we were Angie's List members and found him through the magazine. Turns out that there was a $20 off for plumbing repair for Angie's List members and he didn't honor that for us. I was very disappointed because he was suppose to be a very reputable company but his price was through the roof for something so small. I am calling them again to see if they can refund the $20 for me to at least lighten the blow a little.

What looked like a simple valve replacement on a leaky shower turned out to be a challenging job. Reddi Root'r arrived promptly and gave us two options: repair the old valve or install the new one which potentially involved making a larger hole and damaging the shower tile. We chose the first option but the repair did not work. The repairman tried several different approaches, none of which worked, and then called in reinforcements in the form of another repairman. They ended up having to replace the valve but were able to do it without damaging the shower tile at all. By the time they finished, it was well beyond the first repairman's quitting time and he was scheduled to be on vacation. However, he stayed with the job until they were sure there were no leaks. They were at the house a total of 8 hours. They were polite, good natured (despite the challenges) and respectful of our property. As they left, they gave us coupons for free A/C inspection and carpet cleaning.
