I happened to come to our unit unexpectedly and discovered that they had not cleaned at all - in fact the crew just hung out in our house and took a nap on the sofa and charged us for the services. They charged me 101.00 to not clean. Thankfully they refunded me when I complained. Perhaps they do a great job when they know you are home, they know we live out of state - and did the worst job ever. It's unfortunate you can't trust people who are supposedly professionals..

First thing, they did not showup on the time and I have to stress out the need to do it on time. Finally they came 2 hours late and did very high level cleaning and its not worth for $210. They did not clean baseboards, furniture, doors and glass doors and everything they said extra. Finally they also do lot of scraches my steel sink and they used very hard liquid to clean my stove nob and it completely changed the color... This is NOT worth of service

The schedule was between 8:30-9. The cleaners arrived at around 9:45. I had 2 cleaners for 2 hours. All that was cleaned was my Master bath, the kids bathroom, & a half bath downstairs. I had used them before but I was home. They had done a great job. This time I wasn't home when they arrived, my teenagers were. The customer booked 2 cleaners for 2 hours. Due to the conditions in the home, many surfaces took additional time, effort, and cleaning products for the cleaners to get the surfaces cleaned. A regular cleaning of a home this size, with average conditions, usually takes at least two cleaners for 2.5 to 3.0 hours to complete. With the additional work that was needed for this appointment, the cleaners had only enough time to clean the 2.5 bathrooms and not able to get to other areas in the home. With an hourly cleaning of 2 cleaners for 2 hours, we cannot guarantee that a home will be cleaned in its entirety within that time, especially if the conditions in the home are such that many surfaces are very dirty. We can guarantee, however, that the cleaners will work at a good steady pace, while exercising care and caution during a cleaning. Furthermore, we explain to customers via email, "Please note that 2 cleaners for 2 hours might not be enough time to complete a full cleaning of your home (all areas in the home), especially if your home is larger than 1500 square feet, has multiple pets, or has not been cleaned in a long time." Additional time can also be purchased if the customer makes such a request within a reasonable period of time. We want all of our customers to be happy. We take pride in offering the best customer service around, but we cannot guarantee a home will be completed in its entirety when a customer sets the cleaning up to be with 2 cleaners for 2 hours and the size and condition of the home is such that it cannot be reasonably completed within that limited amount of time.

Queen of Maids sent Brenda over, and she did a MAGNIFICENT job. The place looked brand new. The windows and mirrors were brilliant, the stove and oven spotless, and the tubs and shower surrounds were sparkling.

Queen of Maids did a complete final clean of a house I was selling. The did all bathrooms, tile, travertine flooring, dusting, granite counter tops, etc. Their work was exceptional. The house sparkled when they'd finished. Their work was so good that I've retained them as my regular housecleaners at my new home. Their front office staff is very customer focused and accommodating. I recommend Queen of Maids without reservation for big, small or any housecleaning needs. They do a fantastic job.

Life happens. I understand that, but a company that excels makes sure to consider life is happening for their customer too. I had a cleaning scheduled for Friday. On Thursday I was contacted to reschedule it for later in the day to due to one of their workers having an injury. No problem. I could work with a 2:30PM appointment instead of an 11:30AM appointment, but this required juggling who would be home for the cleaning (customer service person was made aware of this). Family coming in that night at 5:30 you see. I was advised if they finished the prior job early, they might show up before 2:30. Sounds good. 2:30PM Friday - No one. 3:00PM - No one. No call. I called - I was advised they were 20-30 minutes out. 3:45PM - No one. No call. I realized at this point we're cutting into family plans. I had no choice but to cancel the cleaning. How could this have gone better? If on Thursday Queen of Maids was honest: "look, we're scheduled very tight, so we're not sure we can cover you and also let you meet your plans... we suggest you contact another service if you can." A+ customer service at that point would have been if they already had another service to suggest... you know, that old "life happens" thing? This isn't the first, and it won't be the last time that an injury or illness messes with a schedule. But unfortunately, none of that A+ service happened. I came out of this feeling like I was working for Queen of Maids, not that they were providing a service for sale to me. Not what I expected. Had to do a whirlwind cleaning myself before heading to the airport. Probably won't contact them again.

Unfortunately this customer's review is accurate. We encountered an unanticipated scheduling issue due to a busy schedule and an injury of one of the cleaners. We were hopeful that we could adjust the scheduling in order to work around this issue without causing any inconvenience to our customers. Despite our efforts, our office failed to update this customer as he noted in his review. The cleaning team was still set to arrive for this appointment, but as the customer indicate in his review the team was running late and our office did not update the him of the late arrival issue. This situation should have been handled better by us by providing the customer with more information and better communication. We have reached out to this customer in an effort to try and "right" the issues we caused, however we have not heard back. If we do hear back from this customer, we will be happy to work to do what we can to make it up to him.

I can't home to a beautifully clean home. It was so nice to not have to stress about cleaning in preparation for my landlord's reinspection. My favorite thing was that my daughter's stuffed toy cat collection was lined up neatly on her bed. I did not expect the level of organization and cleaning I received and would definitely hire again.
Description of Work: I hired Queen of Maids to clean my apartment after I got a nasty letter from my landlord. One cleaner came to my home and worked for about 4 hours. I was able to leave a key so that I did not have to be home during the service. Scheduling was easy and follow up was stellar.

They were okay. I think I used them twice and then I switched to another group. They weren't really responsive. I had to fit myself into their schedule. I wanted cleaning once a week and they only wanted to do it every other week because other people did every other week. That doesn't work for me. They said they would be there between this time and that time, and they never got there. They said they ran into things and problems at the last place. They were not too good with their responsiveness and being on time. They used water on the wood floors which stained one of the areas. I was not a really happy camper. They could have found a way to clean my house once a week. They could have used something besides water. I think they had a mop with water in it and they left the bucket on the wood floor which caused staining and it was right in the middle of a high traffic area. Now instead of looking good, it's got this dirty brown spot. Their timeliness wasn't really good. They weren't really on time per se. They were 45 minutes or 1 hour late. It didn't seem to be a big deal to them, but I don't sit all day waiting for them. I don't hire cleaning people to sit there and wait for. I went on and moved to another group. They were nice people and the guy that I worked with on the telephone was fabulous. He was very kind and responsive, it was just that they couldn't get me weekly maid service which I wanted. They didn't seem to be trained well enough to not leave a bucket of water on a wood floor. I wasn't happy. I have been happy with other maids. My last maid ended up with cancer so I had to scurry around to find somebody and those Queen of Maids wasn't a fit.

This review appears to be in contrast to the feedback we received from the customer. The first appointment occurred on January 6, 2016. When we followed up with the customer, she said everything was great and signed up for weekly cleaning services. The customer cancelled her next appointment (set for January 13), because she had to go to a lunch meeting. During that call, the customer set up her next appointment for January 26th. She also wanted to confirm weekly service after that appointment. She requested an 8:30am time on a weekly basis, which is our most frequently requested time. At the time she made this request, we had no weekly appointments that were available at 8:30am. We did however have 11:30am slots that would work on a weekly basis, but the customer declined. The customer then agreed to move forward on a biweekly basis, every Tuesday at 8:30am, which our schedule had an opening for. During this biweekly schedule, we would be working to open up a weekly time and spot for the customer. After the January 26th appointment, the customer called to cancel services, saying she would need a weekly appointment and decided to go with a different company. The customer did not like the fact that we could not immediately work her weekly requests into our schedule, but we were willing to making it work by seeing what we could do, but she declined. We were responsive to this customer in every way. We, answered all of her calls and addressed all of her questions. We were also working on making her request for a weekly 8:30am appointment work. Furthermore, every appointment has a 30 minute window of time for arrival, wherein the team arrived for this customer’s appointment and were not late. As always, we take quality seriously and strive for perfection. If a mistake is ever made or something is missed during a customer's cleaning, Queen of Maids works to resolve it to the customer’s complete satisfaction. In this case, the customer never expressed any issues from her cleanings.

It was very positive. The two cleaners showed up on time and got right to work. I had a specific list of things for them to do: upstairs bathrooms, and a cleaning of the main floor and they worked the full two hours and the parts of the house that were cleaned were done well. After a chaotic week of moving in, it was nice to have the main floor cleaned and feel more put together. The front office was also very friendly and worked with me to reschedule when needed. I believe I was charged the $40 change fee because of changing so late but it was worth it to me to feel as though I got my money's worth on the deal. Both the front office and the cleaners were professional and polite to work with.
Description of Work: I bought the Angie's List deal to help with cleaning because we had a quick turnaround from when the previous owner moved out and we moved in. Once we got access to the house we found the house had been cleaned so I rescheduled to have them come after our furniture was moved in.

We paid $125.00 for 2 people to clean our home for 2 hours. It was frustrating that we could not schedule the cleaning to take place over the weekend so we had to settle for a Monday appointment at 11:30am. Both my wife and I work full time so we could not be there to supervise. We placed our order on Angie's List through a special coupon/ deal on January 31, 2015 and never heard from the company after that. My wife had to email the company to see what the problem was, and only after that we were able to schedule the service. They came today, 02/08/2016 and did average work. The cleaners did not call when they arrived nor did they call to let us know when they were leaving. The areas they did clean were done fairly well, but we expected more. We have had better service and value using other cleaning companies on Angie's List. The reality is, for $125 we expected more to be done, but our expectations were not met. *Update- . I would appreciate the company contacting the client. There was a miscommunication in the initial set-up but was resolved quickly. That was not the problem. The problem was that the actual service. We have had housecleaning services in the past and was looking for new company in the area. The company was given a priority list (I know not all would be done). Top priority was the bathrooms (garbage was not taken out- done with every cleaning service I have gotten) and there was a wrapper on the floor next to the garbage can in the bathrooms. I put away all personal items in the bathrooms and I also removed all rugs etc. for easy cleaning. The overall cleaning was average. I have always gotten a text or phone call from a company if I wasn't home to notify when they arrived and left. Also if I wasn't there, a list of items that was done was left. The details are lacking in this company. We did the Angie's List review first because this to me was the actual service we received and possible services that one will receive.

Unfortunately the majority of the issues listed by the customer were caused by the customer's own lack in communication. The customer purchased the house cleaning service of "2 Cleaners for 2 Hours" on Sunday, January 31. We are closed on Sundays, so we did not receive the message about the purchase until the next morning on Monday. Queen of Maids responded to the customer's request on Monday at around 8:50am. The customer did not provide an email address or phone number in the notes when they purchased the service through Angie's List, so Angie's List was the only way that we could contact the customer. In our response to the customer we provided a list of dates and times that matched the customer's initial request for a service on Friday, January 5th. In our response we also included a list of additional information we would need in order to complete the booking and included all of our contact information. Unfortunately the customer did not contact us until Saturday, February 6th, when they made a call to our office. The customer never responded to our response through Angie's List and delayed their response in contacting our office. When the customer did contact us, the next available cleaning we had was for February 8th. The customer was upset that their service was not originally scheduled for Friday, February 5th, but this was impossible due to the fact that they contacted us on February 6th. During the phone conversation it was explained to the customer that the customer did not provide Queen of Maids with any contact information and that the customer did not respond to our message to confirm the appointment. The appointment was scheduled and confirmed for Monday, February 8, with an arrival time of 11:30am to 12:00pm. One of the complaints the customer had was that the team did not call upon arrival and departure of the cleaning, however, this request was never made by the customer. Had the customer requested, the team would have called. If there are ever any issues with a service a customer can easily and quickly contact us by phone, email, or even online chat. In this case, the customer never contacted us regarding their concerns with the cleaning. Furthermore, their lack of communication cause many of the issues. This review is the first feedback we have received, as the customer did not contact us prior to leaving this review. If a customer has any issues with any cleaning for any reason, we encourage them to contact us so that we can resolve said issues. Without communication from the customer, it is impossible to make sure we are meeting the customer's needs and expectations. We are here to make sure our customers are happy with their service! And if anything is lacking in a service, we will resolve it to their complete satisfaction so long we are contacted within a reasonable time. The customer had her service take place on September 30th, 2 cleaners for 2 hours. The cleaning crew reported that the home was in fairly good shape which allow for the service to be completed in 1 hour and 35 minutes. We explain to our customers that hourly appointments have a minimum charge of 2 hours to account for the costs involved with driving to the service and the cleaning supplies needed. When our office followed up the customer confirmed this timeframe and also mentioned that the her home looked great. If the customer had concerns with the service they could have gotten in touch with us and we would have been happy to find an appropriate solution.

One of the gals cleaned the bathrooms while the "helper" did the baseboards. It took the "helper" the entire 2 hours to do the baseboards. A job that I can do myself in an hour. I had asked them to do my floors. Only one of the gals did the floors. She went over them with a duster and then used a spray bottle and a dust type mop to mop her way out of the house. The carpeted areas were vacuumed with my own vacuum, which was fine. I was disappointed with the way the tiled floors were done. I was also disappointed with the amount of work they were able to complete in the allotted time. They didn't do a bad job, just didn't get much done. The main girl was very nice and professional. It was obvious that she had brought a sister or friend to help her and had to spend time telling her what and how to do things. Overall the job that was done was just ok. If both the girls were experienced I'm sure they would have been much faster and more efficient.
Description of Work: It's been quite awhile since I used them. I asked them to do my bathrooms (2.5) and my baseboards and floors. 2 gals came so I only got 2 hours of cleaning. I paid for 4 and that is fine that there were 2 gals to do the work. My biggest problem was that one of the girls was a "helper" for the one gal who knew what she was doing. The "helper" obviously wasn't experienced and was very slow and unsure of what she was doing. Needless to say, they didn't get as much done as I had hoped. I can do all the above cleaning by myself in less than 4 hours.
