Set appointment time for him to look at our pocket door. He (the owner, Nic) didn't show and didn't call for about 30 minutes past the agreed upon appointment time. Said he would arrive in about 30 minutes. Actually arrived over an hour later. First red flag. Seemed nice and clean cut and knowledgable, so we overlooked the punctuality problem. Accepting his price offered, we cut him a check for half of the contract price, for materials. He said he would call us in a few days to schedule the job because he had a "big job" to wrap up first and he wasn't sure exactly when he would be done. We said fine. A week later we called him because we had not heard anything. He said he would call back in a day or so. About 5 days later he called and set the date and time for the job. Showed up on time to do job. Didn't finish in one day as he said he would, but we can understand that. No biggie. The pocket door that he replaced the runner on (he said we should install a double-runner so that it rolls better and straighter and smoother. We agreed) made loud scratching/scraping noises as it would be rolled closed and opened. When he returned the next day to finish the drywall plastering, we asked him about it (our bedroom doors are on rollers similarly and roll very quietly) and his response was "I don't know." So we are stuck with the scraping sound I guess. He spent about 30 minutes retexturing the drywall patch and asked me to check it out when he was done. It didn't match - large flat areas with little to no texture. I had to ask the professional if he could do better. He was agreeable enough and did some more. It still doesn't match perfectly but whatever, I'll go to Home Depot myself for a spray can of texture and fix it I guess. About 2 weeks after the job was finished my wife said the door is getting this big gouge line along the bottom. I looked at it and the cheap plastic guide he installed was cracked and not holding the bottom of the sliding door centered any more. Instead the guide was now causing a long scrape on our door every time it wan't carefully opened and closed to avoid any pressure to that side. So I called him to come back and fix it. He said he would be happy to. You guessed it - he would call to set a date and time. Five days later I called him again and he said he was getting ready to call me (right). He said he could come the next day (Sat). Sat he didn't come. Said he would come Sunday. We said to call first but that should work. He called on Sunday and said he couldn't come. He said he would call to reschedule. At this time it's been over a week since our last phone conversation with Nic and nothing. Now that he has our money, he ins't too interested in returning I guess. We are going to have to call ANOTHER contractor to come fix the broken guide and we will ask the next guy what can be done about the terrible scraping sound whenever the door is opened or closed. VERY disappointed with "Pretty Smart Guys" and Nic. Seems like a nice enough guy, but then it always seems like it's just these kind of guys that let you down. Poor punctuality. Poor communication. So-so workmanship. No follow-up service.
Description of Work: Hired Nic, Owner of PSG (Pretty Smart Guys) to repair our guest bathroom sliding pocket door. He removed the old runner and old rollers, replacing both with new hardware. He also had to cut through the drywall and then patch the hole.

They did a wonderful job. I am very happy with the end product I will certainly use them again. It took one week for the French door to be delivered. But overall I am very happy with the company and the price was very competitive.
Description of Work: They came to my 3200 square feet home to measure windows for new screens. The material used is made of fiberglass. They re-screened 33 windows. They also installed a double French door which is also made of fiberglass.
