 + 1 moreSteve and Alan did the original estimate and showed me examples of the available granite. The price was very reasonable and there was a huge savings compared to other installers because of the type of "pre-assembled" granite that they use. They were very clear when explaining the installation process as there were some limitations due to working with pre-assembled granite countertops and then cutting and finishing them to fit your kitchen. Victor and his assistant did the final measuring and installation. His attitude and quality of work was very good but I had to micro-manage a little when it came to some of the details. I new exactly how I wanted the bar-top supported and aligned and some of the work had to be re-done when I realized that it wasn't just right. Everyone was very helpful in making sure that it was done correctly in the end and the kitchen looks fantastic!
Description of Work: Complete kitchen counter replacement including an L shaped counter with a full back splash and undermount, stainless steel sink; and an L shaped island with a raised bar-top (custom cut around a pole). There was a total of almost 80 square feet of granite, including the back splash (I chose one of the least expensive colors that they offered). There were some complicated installation details including mounting the bar top around an existing pole. In addition to the full back splash, we had some issues with adding a shelf under the window without interfering with the window operation. All in all it was a pretty complicated job compared to most counter installations.
