The dirt we used from them comes from the Indian reservation and is free of chemicals.

We priced around for a complete landscaping package for our new home. We had half a dozen quotes and we picked Venetian because they personally came by not once, but 3 times to show samples of turf and pavers. Then they took 60% down, rest upon completion and it was all down hill from there. They said it will take 3-4 day to complete. The first day (Wednesday june 5) they didn't show up because they said they forgot the address. The second day they said they were coming over first thing in the morning and came closer to 10am and left a little after 3 (mind you there were suppose to be 4 people and only 2 showed up). On friday they came at 7:30 (again only 2 workers showed up) they left between 2-3 that day. When I called Shane (the owner) he said they'll come first thing Saturday and finish up Monday. On Sat. morning at 7:06 am I got this text (We will resume monday morning 7am sorry for short notice. Guys I think had little to much fun last nite.) Asked now what the time schedule will be (will have done on Tuesday late day.... having 3 guys on Monday) Then nothing.... No worker no calls until Wed. June 12 he sends a text (guys will be out in a bit had flood in my house.) (Nothing happened that day....got another text.... Sorry will finish up by friday) Thursday came and no workers showed up.... Texted Shane Friday and he told me the workers are on their way.... Again no one came!!!! Now on June 15th (saturday) I get a text saying: "Trying to get over there had 6 of his paver guys quit, a little short this past couple days.... will throw in some extra plants for the inconvenience." Now on June 17th the workers finally arrived to finish the pavers... When I got home that day the pavers they put in were all wrong! I asked for a curved paver pathway and not one corner had a even curve. The next day the workers removed the pavers and started over. Again when I got home there was a pile of cut pavers on the ground and again the curves were not even. I asked Shane about this and he said they are having a little trouble with the curves, but they will get it done tomorrow. At this point I told him to do a straight pathway (did not feel like they could do a quality curved path) Then on the 19th I get a text that they are finishing the pavers and need $2,500 to finish the job and the rest on completion. This is not what we talked about. Told Shane will give him another check when he brings the rest of the plants and the artifcial turf. Then on Friday the 21st I get another call from Shane saying that they put too much of the turf down and need more money to cover the extra turf (their mistake). I told Shane I'm working and to talk to my wife and mother who were at the house. I got home later that day and I found out that my wife agreed to pay him another $1000 for his mistake!!! Plus he told her that because he was losing too much money on the job if he didn't get some more money he will have to walk away from the job. Finally they finish on the 22nd (almost 3 weeks!!!) the day we had a family movie night.... told him I would drop off final check when I finish. Didn't finish until late and got a nasty voice mail saying he needed his check NOW... (really him being late every step of the way this is what he sends?) The next moring I talked to him saying that my wife said he was going to put in 2 fruit trees on the side of the house. He said he never said he was going to put those in and the trees were never in the contract. I told him the extra $1000 was never in ther contract and that it was an agreement between you and my wife (and mother). Then he calls and says if we don't pay right away he'll sue me. After 10 nasty phone messages and a couple of texts. My mother said she was there and will talk to him. They agreed to pay the $1000 when he drops off the 2 fruit trees at my work. When I got to work by the front door was (2) 24" tall fruit shrubs (with home depot decals priced at $25) Told my mother, but by that time she paid him and they came to an understanding. The very next day water was poring out of the ground near the newly placed water lines. We called up Shane and he said that he'll take care of it. A week passed and NOTHING... My mom called him and he told her his crew are on there way. Again, nothing. My mother called again and he told her it's the builders fault, not his. So we called the builder and they dug up the area and found a couple of cans and some old food just buried in the hole (I took pictures of this.... could not believe it) when the builder got it dug up they found new copper fitting that was not welded correctly. Again my mother called and he said he'll call back and that was the last we heard of Shane. Now half of the plants died. This guy promises to do whatever you want him to, but will lie in your face and not get things done. STAY AWAY!!!!
