Upon completion, I asked how I needed to pay for the battery and he asked for a check or cash. I went to the bank and got the money and then asked for the battery receipt. I was told he would drop it off at the house which I thought odd. The work was done and I knew I needed to pay for it. Later that day, I received a text with a written up invoice and not the original purchase ticket for the battery. The next day, I went to the Interstate Battery store, asked the clerk to come look at the replaced battery, and show me which one in the store it was. The new one in the car cost Mr. Hernandez 85.00 plus tax yet he charged me 195.00. AND the battery is 18-month replacement warranty. Without the original receipt, I cannot replace it period. I called my insurance agent and was told, Mr. Hernandez took it upon himself to ask about the battery, that is not their policy. He was also paid for his service as a roadside assistance. I was not to be charged extra for his labor, it is included in my policy. When I realized what Mr. Hernandez had done, I text him the photo I had taken of the battery at the store with the comment, I want my money and receipt for the battery purchase. His comment back was "I will give you 50.00 and that is a good deal". STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!! AND ask your insurance company NOT TO USE THEM!
