1st tech can as scheduled, and said it needed major work and gave us a quote. Vladimir scheduled to come and do the work. He did a good job but the freezer never cooled down and after we talked about it again we both decided that it was to pricey to fix. He then refunded all but two service calls. I was very happy with his honesty and professionalism.

Vladimir appeared rushed the entire time he was at our home and was on and off his phone the entire time. We have a Subzero and it had a "vacuum condenser" light flashing. We put freon in our fridge, but couldn't tell me how much he had to put in and then proceeded to charge me $225. I ask how he came to that figure and he said it was "in his book". I asked if he could show me and he conveniently couldn't find it and had to go. As soon as he left, the issue appeared again. Such a waste of time and money!!

We called for a second opinion because the original repairman (from Sears Appliance Services) said it needed a new compressor and the cost was going to be around $950. Someone answered the phone right away at 7:15 in the morning and they said the techs make their own appointments and that they would call back later for that, which they did. Vladimir made an appointment with my wife and we both went to work. My wife was at work when Vladimir called to let her know he was on his way and they met at home where the fridge was. He spent some time looking at it and then my wife called me and suggested I talk with him directly, which I did. He said it appeared to be the "starter assembly" (which turned out to be a relay and capacitor module) and the cost would be $245 with parts, labor and tax so I authorized the repair. He told my wife that even if this does not fix it (which he was confident it would) he would replace the compressor for about $600 total - which was much cheaper than the other repair estimate. The fridge has been working for several days now with no incidents or need to have somebody else come out. YAY! When speaking on the phone with him he was very polite and patient when explaining what he thought the problem was. He went through the steps he took to diagnose it, what he found at each step, and then the conclusions he made based on those steps. I would definitely call him again FIRST for any other appliance repairs I may have in the future.

Arrived on time. Very professional. I was hoping my washer just had a clog. Turns out the pump was broke. Cost over 280 to replace. Still a better deal than getting a new washer. Fridge cost lot less to fix as it needed a hose.

They offered to fit me in to an earlier opening than originally scheduled, which was great. Their diagnosis was fast and credible, they showed me the precise problem, explained the costs to repair along with follow-up repairs that are typical when a machine breaks in this particular way, and were up front that while they could do the service immediately to repair the machine, the cost of the parts was high enough that I would be better off getting a new machine for just a little bit more. Their honesty cost them a substantial service fee, but it has earned them a repeat customer in the future.

I ended up purchasing a new dishwasher and manny agreed to put me on the schedule for the next day to hook it up. He also didn't have the necessary switch with him FYI fix the stove so would fix that today as well. I was told the cost would be a $95 return visit fee and the cost of the switch which was unknown at that time. Manny came back today at 4:30 and installed the dishwasher and it is working well. I did not have him install the switch on the stove because the head office said he would have to charge me $95 again to put it in. After telling me the day before that it was a simple installment that wouldn't take more than 5 minutes I thought that was taking advantage of the situation . My brother in law will install it for free. My main concern in regards to our repair and set up is that I believe they do not carry anything accept basic tools to your visit. When a dishwasher connection elbow didn't work I had to run to Home Depot to get the correct part since it was past 5:00. He was going to leave the dishwasher there and return on Monday. I ran to Home Depot , got the part and came home. In the meantime manny called to see if they could even sell me the part on its own. I had to accept it with a warranty for defects . I believe that though the coupon was used I believe they know they can not correct the issue on the first visit and are assured at least one or two additional labor charges of $95 when they return. This is very expensive in my eyes and taking advantage of the customer. Charging by the hour would be much more fair. Manny was pleasant and helpful. I could tell he felt bad about the second $95 yet couldn't decide anything about it. I appreciated his honesty in regards to our old dishwasher and advice on brands for a new one. I would hope that with being in the service industry you would equip the trucks of your techs with some of the supplies needed to complete the job on the first visit. To be an appliance repair company and not be prepare seems not productive in my eyes.
Description of Work: Evaluated our existing dishwasher and found it was not worth investing the additional money to repair based on it being 5 years old. With our coupon he also evaluated the problem with one of the burners on our stove. He agreed that it appeared to be the switch on the dial was not working properly.

Our Bosch dishwasher leaked water all over the floor. My phone call for service was answered right away and a same-day appointment was made . Vladimir arrived exactly as scheduled. After assessing the problem, he ordered the necessary parts which arrived within just a few days. To me, that alone was impressive since this was occurring during Christmas-New Years holiday time when all of business seems to slow down with holiday related reduced staffing delays. Vladimir notified us as soon as he had the parts and scheduled a next-day time to come back out. Again, he showed up promptly; completed the work promptly and cleaned everything up afterwards. Vladimir is friendly but gets right down to work. All in all, high quality. I will definitely call on Vladimir for any future repair needs.

I called on a Sunday and response was good and Vladimir was there the next day. My LG refrigerator quit after 5 years and although the parts were still under warranty the labor was going to be more than we were willing to spend. We had not bought the extended warranty so we bought a new one with a warranty. He suggested that most parts are made in China and the extended warranty can be worth the extra dollars.

We discovered the problem on Friday morning. We first called GE repair service. They said they could have a technician come sometime Monday morning. We called another local firm that GE recommended to try to get an earlier date and they were not available until Tuesday. We did a search on Angie's List and ultimately called Phoenix Appliance Services. Vladimir said we would receive a call from a technician later on Friday. In fact his son called and was able to come by to check the refrigerator later that day. He quickly diagnosed the problem, a failed inverter that drives the compressor, as I had suspected. He conferred with his father and learned that a replacement part could be obtained. He thought he would be able to come by on Saturday and replace it. It turned out that he was tied up in Mesa, 45 minutes from our home, Saturday afternoon. He offered to come in the early evening but also said he could come about noon on Sunday. I told him that would work for us. He came at about noon as promised. Less than an hour later the part was replaced. It did in fact fix the problem and the compressor started cooling the refrigerator right away. The labor charge was reasonable considering that two trips were necessary. The price of the GE part was not reasonable but unfortunately that is common for repair parts for the non-commodity GE lines. If this 9 year-old refrigerator fails again, we will replace it with a Sub Zero.

Vladimir was only here one minute before he diagnosed the problem. He defrosted the freezer and replaced the faulty mechanism in the freezer. I have Choice Home Warranty. They were not able to get anyone to my home to work on my non-working refrigerator for one week! They said I could get my own repair person and get authorization for reimbursement. I will do so. I called Phoenix Appliance Services yesterday and Vladimir was here this morning. Very fast service. Excellent service. I will definitely use Phoenix Appliance Services for future repairs of large appliances.

He didn't have the part to fix it, a small washer or something for a hose so he showed us how to install the part and we just ordered it on our own. It was an easy fix and Alex was clean, professional, and knowledgeable. He seemed genuinely apologetic that we had to pay a $70 diagnostic fee for a less than $20 part. We wouldn't have been able to find the leak without him though, and our washer works like new again. We had a little trouble scheduling but the work was performed within 10 days of first contact. Not sure that is ideal for more urgent situations, but it was OK for our small problem.

The service went okay. My husband was out of town when the refrigerator broke down and I needed some one to come right away. I called Angie's List and I called the providers and he was the first one to come. He was very good and professional but he charged a lot of money. Five hundred dollars for each one, when my husband got home he noticed that the charge and labor was not separated. He also pulled out the part and noticed that each part was like a couple of hundred dollars and he was pretty irate they we were charged so much. He suggested that I call and ask why we had been overcharged. I did that and he refunded all that money when I explained the situation. When my husband came home we went on line and found that on Amazon these parts were substantially less. Other than that I was very pleased with his work. He was very professional and explained to me what he was doing and he did come right away that morning. He wrote to me when he was on his way to another job and I really appreciated that. He did resolve the matter with me amicably in a way he did not have to do. He even refunded us the entire amount which he had to.

He was very polite, nice guy, and showed up on time, however, Old sub-zero freezer not cooling, in the end it needs a compressor/condenser replacement which is prohibitively expensive from all folks we contacted. Unfortunately, the first tech was Vladimir who suggested we try a hard-start capacitor on the compressor first. The $75 service call went to $185 including the $12 part he installed in 10 minutes. Said he gave an 8 day warrantee, and if this didn't work would apply the money to his $1100 compressor replacement quote. Sub-zero authorized repair center ($2250 quote) said you can't just replace the compressor, had to be compressor/condenser due to freeon type change etc, who knows. 2nd tech said same thing, quoted $1800. We decided NOT to fix this old fridge, so called Vladimir to see if I could get relief on the 8 day warrantee, and return the start capacitor, or buy him a new one etc. Just don't understand how $185 spent with no effect could be reasonable when a warrantee was mentioned. Guess the warrantee was only good if I spent even more money with him. By the way, today he upped his quote to $1200 for a compressor, while other techs I've spoken to would do the same job for $900 - $1100. So even if I went with him, he overquoted the compressor so I'd still be paying $185 for the $12 start capacitor service call. I'll never call again. My advice, is get multiple quotes, do some online research etc.
Description of Work: Diagnosed possible bad freezer compressor, installed hard-start capacitor to see if that worked, left indicating an 8 day warrantee.

I had read some very good reviews of the owner, Vladimir. When I called last week, he set me up with a technician, who was very responsible about texting me, getting all my details and model of washer details. He gave me a window of 10:30 to 12 and then I started to get messages that he was running late, and then his vehicle broke down. - My washer issuer-- which I now think is related to the door, was my washer had filled up with water but would not run--- so I had wet clothes which I had pulled out which had been sitting there for a couple of days-- so really needed the thing fixed. He managed to get a vehicle so maybe about 2 hrs later he was able to come. He asked me some questions, figured out the door was the problem, but sort of argued with me when I explained that the machine was spontaneously filling up with water as well as the other problem--- and with it being a front loader , I had to keep bailing it out so it wouldn't overflow. He said that wasn't possible, but eventually we settled down and he said he had the part but it was over $100 and the repair was $95. I did get him a coupon from Angie's list--- but it only took about $5 off the whole thing and when he got down to it, the repair took him less than 15 minutes. The repair seems to have taken care of all problems including the 'weird' water issue, but it did disturb me that the repair was that expensive--- I spent around $243 with the coupon and the difference I paid him. I know that the technician was stressed with being behind several hours with service calls and I am grateful he had the part in his car, but I still am surprised that the call was that much. I would appreciate feedback, because I have not had a repair like this for a long time and maybe that's what it costs, even if the repairman is only there a short time. The main thing is, I got this washer for $150 several years ago from a friend ( but it wasn't very old, he just had to move) so I will probably never repair it again, if this will be the kind of pricing involved. Cheaper to buy another used machine......
Description of Work: Replaced a faulty door mechanism on my washer--- which would not work without it.
