Petar Kotsankov installed tile flooring in my house. He finished the job quickly and the floor looks symmetrical, but it is uneven in several areas. I asked Petar to use the smallest spacers, but instead of using 1/16 or even 1/8, he decided to use 1/4 without consulting with me. The grout looks horrible. It is light gray, even though I bought very dark brown (almost black) grout and it looks blotchy. I am attaching a picture of the grout back with target color visible, 2 pictures of the dark tiles he installed with the end result grout, and for comparison, there is a picture of light color tiles I had installed later in another area, with exactly the same dark grout that someone else installed correctly. I went back to the store which sold the grout and they said that this can happen when inappropriate amount of water is mixed with the grout. I called Petar back to convey the information and he literally cursed me out with a language I haven't heard for a long time, yelling that he has many years of experience and who am I to even suggest he did something wrong. I would not hire him again. Unprofessional and does not own to his mistakes.
