Optimum Tree Removal and Trimming

. They were very professional. They did a nice job on the trees. The shape and canopying was lovely. The only problem was that they didn't have the right equipment to get to the top of a lemon tree. So the tree looked great except the top needed a haircut and I had to get another service to finish.

I purchased the "Big Deal" for $500 in services for $400. Within a couple hours, I received an email from Optimum advising me that Angie's List was supposed to stop running this deal over a week ago and to contact Angie's List for a refund. While I appreciate the fast response from Optimum, I was surprised that the company didn't offer to come out and even quote the work I needed done. I can only assume they do not need the extra business. I will take my business elsewhere.

I contacted several tree trimmers to complete a job. This profession is extremely busy in our area. Optimum is no exception. If you have an emergency they might be able to respond quickly, but for regular trimming or maintenance the scheduling could be 3 to 4 weeks. While they did respond to calls and emails, it does take a day or 2. The team is professional and courteous. If I did use them again it would be for removal only. If they park on a hard surface, put a tarp down. The vehicles leak fluids.

Raymond and team were amazing. They arrived when he said they would, their quote was reasonable, and they did the work the same day. He also sent a photo of the tree when it was done. He was top-notch!

***This is an update from my previous review and I've upped the grade. Raymond was away from work for a little while but I've received the receipt. As I mentioned in my initial review, they did a great job on the trees. Raymond subbed out the service and the people who trimmed the trees did a great job. Raymond told me he would email me the receipt and a month later he still hasn't sent it and does not return calls or texts. I'm splitting the cost of the large tree with my neighbor and I'd like to be able to show him a receipt.

I was never contacted after ordering The Big Deal. I tried to contact them, but never heard back. Shame, as I liked their reviews and I've never had trouble with any Big Deal providers in the past. I called Angie's List and they gave me a refund and quickly found a new tree service. Thank you, Angie's List!

Did a great job, thorough, responsive and very neat.

The estimate process was smooth and timely. They showed up when they said with the manpower they needed and worked hard for hours until the job was completely finished. They were careful of nearby foliage and structures, and left things cleaner than when they found them. The trimmed trees were not just chopped on, but nicely sculpted. Things look great.

Contacted Raymond for an estimate and he came to the house a few days later. He arrived on time. He estimated a very low price to trim two African sumac trees, one of which was extremely overgrown. After providing the estimate, Raymond said he could begin the work immediately and we accepted. Raymond and Charlie (2 man crew) did an exceptional job and finished right at 2 hours - just as they said they would. They worked non-stop in 100+ degree heat. Did an amazing job on the trims, and even better, did a thorough clean up afterward. They even cleaned debris that was present before they arrived and unrelated to their tree work. We are very, very satisfied. 2 guys, both very polite, very professional, very hard workers. Highest recommendation, A+.

Raymond was awesome. He was extremely responsive, returned my call within just an hour or so, visited my home to assess the job, gave me an estimate, and completed all of the work the very next day. The work was very well done and the yard was totally cleaned up. I highly recommend him!

Raymond is one of the kindest and most professional contractors I've ever worked with. Extremely personable from the start, very fair price, and does a quality job. He took off quite a bit of our tree, in order to train it to grow properly, and then went beyond the initial scope of "thinning" in order to remove a large limb that blocks our solar panels in late afternoon sun. Would HIGHLY recommend and wouldn't think of using another company for future tree work. Thanks, Raymond!

Raymond was prompt to reply to my initial inquiry on Angie's List, came out to provide an estimate within a day and agreed to start the work within a week. It was a big and messy job, but Raymond and his crew did great work. One large tree close to the house was removed completely and two large pine trees were pruned of dead branches. Several stumps around the yard were ground down also. They all worked h****** very hot days and I'm very happy with the results! This was my first project completed through an Angie's List provider, and I now wish I would have started using Angie's List sooner.

Raymond and his crew were amazing. We bought a house that was not maintained at all and needed a lot of help in clearing out the overgrown and cluttered yard. I received a quote Saturday, and they started work Sunday. Raymond encouraged us to keep some trees and shrubs that we planned on removing explaining that we could bring them back to life with approximately 6 months of TLC (so he's honest and not just out to make money for himself as his advice meant there would be less for him to take down and less for him to charge for). Raymond was always on site working with his crew. After Raymond started the job, he discovered that the large tree he was taking down had concrete poured all around the roots (this was a surprise to both of us). Because of the concrete around the roots, he went though more chain saw chains than expected and it took him extra time to remove the roots. Despite these unexpected changes and expenses, Raymond did not charge me extra. The crew ran into a couple wasp nests in the trees they were removing and instead of telling me to call a pest company, they sprayed the nests themselves and kept working! They even made a special plywood set up to ensure the large palm tree they were cutting down would not fall and crack the plaster of our pool patio. I will definitely use Optimum Tree Removal and Trimming again. We have some oleanders in the front that will need to be removed in a few months and I already know that Raymond is my guy! Not only were the prices and services great with this company, but Raymond and his crew were very nice, polite, and hardworking.

Raymond was pleasant to work with. he removed a dead tree and cleaned up way more than expected. I am very pleased.

A friend of mine named Chistopher referred me to Optimum Tree Removal I called Ray during last week to see if he could come out to trim some trees we have in our back yard and remove a small section of oleanders from the side of our house. The trees are too tall for me to trim myself and besides I dont have the tools to do it. And the oleanders seemed like too big of a project for me to do. Ray came out the next day to check out the work I needed done and to give me a bid on how much he would charge to do the work. We agreed on a very fair price and let me know that he would come out on Friday morning to do the work. As Ray said he would do, he was very professional and did a great job cleaning up and hauled all debrih away. I would definately reccomend him to everyone I know and would definately have him do more work as I need.
