Description of Work: We have had OneGuard for the past 16 months. They are the first home warranty company we have encountered that are professional, honest, and the repair technicians are honest as well. They don't have the fanciest vehicles, but they are skilled in what they do. We have actually used the referred contractors for other non-warranty work because they are honest, reasonably priced, and do a good job.

Description of Work: Renewed my home warranty with them. I have learned that the list of coverages have limitations that drastically affect the effectiveness of the warranty. Once again, I didn't have access to the contract (small print) until mid December which has been the approximate time lapse in the 3 or 4 years I have been using them. In addition to the annual cost, there is a fairly hefty fee, $69, when they send someone out. | |Also, you are provided with a fairly long list of "services," such as lawn fertilization, before being able to get all the appliances and systems covered. | |I must say One Guard's response to a problem call is prompt once you get past the sometimes excessively long periods of being placed on hold.

Description of Work: I renewed my service contract with this company as all the appliances and AC are original equipment in the home I purchased in 2014. They have always been informative, helpful and responsive when I've contacted them. As an Angie's List member I was able to reduce my annual renewal fee due to the discount offered by this provider on Angie's List. A $36 savings!

Description of Work: I was not called back in the 4 hour time mentioned. The next day, I was told the plumber was 20 minutes out, and 1 hour later I called. He had been sent to another job. After the work was done, I had to call them back for the same leak. The leak was fixed, but he left the hose running on the outside of the house. If I had not checked his work and turned off the water, I would have a bigger complaint.

Description of Work: Used them for 3 homes simultaneously over 5 years; excellent experience on each service request. If vendor issues arose, office staff was very responsive to corrections. 10 /10 would recommend.

Description of Work: I had a dryer duct cleaned. The vendor that One Guard sent was good. He overcharged, but actually was instructed to do so by One Guard. I straightened it out satisfactorily with One Guard a day later. This is not the problem. The problem is that One Guard's annual fee goes up each year, and is now higher than $500 a year for me. It doesn't make sense to stay with them. They have priced themselves out of my business.
