OneGuard Home Warranties

I had just started the new warranty service after the builder's warranty ended. The water heater was only one year old. The plumber called the first day and arrived on the second day to repair. The part was covered under the water heater warranty with State. Because the water heater was so new the part was not available and they challenged the repair. The plumbing company sent in a second plumber and the part was replaced two days later. The delay was due to the water heater manufacturer initially refusing to replace the part. One Guard did respond to me when I escalated and the plumber they provided did an excellent job.

I called Saturday AM and a technician from Lee Collins came out earlier that estimated and fixed the problem in 15 minutes. Pete was the technician and he was professional and explained what he was fixing. Great service. This was on the hottest day of the year and they stil had someon come out right away!

I paid 59 dollars for the HVAC yearly inspection of my unit. The Tech found an electrical problem then I had to pay another 59 service charge to come back and repair it.

They're good. I haven't had any problems with them. Their price was comparative.

I like everything about them. Their prices are reasonable, their customer service is great. They have been very helpful.

OneGuard Home Warranties are okay. They've been fine. I have a warranty with OneGuard. You pay for the warranty and they only charge you the $59.00 to come out.

After placing a call, OneGuard found a provider that called us and performed the job. We paid only the service fee of $59.

I have a one year contract with them. They were very good. Whenever I had an issue with my home they were very prompt in getting me a contractor and they all showed up on time. They were very friendly on the phone and quickly got in me contact with people to solve the problems for my house.

We have been with One Guard for 1 1/2 years and have multiple warranty service calls for refrigerator, gas stove, a/c and dish washer. In May, we requested service for our refrigerator. We have used the warranty for 5 service calls. One Guard has always been courteous, prompt and has service either same day or next day. We never had issues about what was not covered. On this last service call, One Guard gave us 3 options: they would replace the refrigerator with a new one with same features, delivered & installed at -0- cost, or let us pick a refrigerator and give them a model number and they would purchase & deliver (we pay the difffernce in cost) or issue a check in the amount of equal to the cost of their replacement option and we buy our own. We took option 3, and received a check within 10 days. Great service, prompt, courteous and never wanted to argue about our service requests. Highly pleased with One Guard and their professional team.

He began by saying that what was wrong with the dishwasher wasn't covered by the warrantee policy for the amount I paid for this visit, but he proceeded to repair what needed to be done at no additional charge. He was very helpful in telling me how to maintain the machine.

I called OneGuard on a Monday morning to deal with our broken AC unit. They answered immediately, the service person was extremely helpful, offered several AC service companies that we could use (which I looked up on Angies List). The one we selected called us that day and schedule for the next. The fixed the problem and that was that. No hassle, no lengthy series of questions, no arguments about what's covered, etc. This is the second time we used the home warranty (first time was when the fridge broke). Both experiences were a smooth as can be. I heard (and read) a lot of horror stories about home warranty companies. I've had absolutely zero issues (so far) and I would definitely recommend OneGuard. I will update my review if anything changes.

the icemaker on my refrigerator was not working properly, he adjusted it and then determined it needed a new filter which he does not carry with him. I got a new filter, but every time I put it on it leaked. The contractor would not come back out unless I paid for it entirely since OneGuard does not cover the filters. I opted to just shut off the water and ice and not invest anymore money in the refrigerator. I have had a problem before with this same contractor, but the previous time OneGuard took care of it after I spoke to a supervisor. I have recommended OneGuard to many people as a home warranty company. The folks who answer the phones are courteous and professional and their rates are very reasonable.

Having a home warranty definitely made our first year of home ownership easier. As new homeowners, we don't already have a preferred plumber or electrician, so it makes it really nice that I can call one company (OneGuard) and they'll dispatch a company they trust. And I have the peace of mind knowing that most likely, all I will need to pay is the $59 service fee. I know that without a home warranty, I'd still be living with a bunch of minor issues that bugged me, like the slow-draining bathtub (which the plumber found out to be caused by a piece of tile that had been lodged in the drain since the tub was originally tiled -- in 1988!) The big payoff came in our second year, when I attempted to turn on the A/C in the spring and found it wasn't working properly. I put in the service request to OneGuard online and they had an A/C company calling me back within an hour or two. The A/C company found that our A/C system had a leak that couldn't be repaired, so I'd need an entirely new system. I had two different people (friend and coworker) warning me that they'd had bad experiences with a home warranty company that left them with a huge bill in similar situations, so I was extremely nervous. The A/C company called OneGuard at noon on a Saturday and within just a few minutes were back in my house, telling me I'd have my new A/C system with a week, completely paid for by OneGuard! OneGuard took care of everything -- they chose the A/C system and ordered it and let the A/C company know when it was in. I only received calls from the A/C system when they were ready to install it. That made what could have been a HUGE hassle into something very easy. With how much money they've saved us alone, I'd be happy with this company. But they're also one of the most pleasant companies I've worked with. I typically enter my service requests online, and I appreciate how easy and quick it is. I then receive a call within just a couple of hours from a very friendly-sounding customer service rep, who verifies my request and lets me know which company they're going to assign my request to. That's usually the only contact I have with OneGuard; the service provider handles the rest. I've never had any red tape or additional invoices from OneGuard. It's been great and I plan to renew our policy for a very long time.

The issues for which I have requested services from One Guard are; 1) Pool timer replacement - Completed within two days, no questions asked. 2) Refrigerator leak - They sent a reputed company to replace a compressor within 2 days. 3) Water Heater quit working - One Guard sent a company the same day to replace the heater and bring it down from the attic for about $130. This would have cost me more that $1300 if I did not have the warranty. 4) Preexisting electrical issues that was noticed during a kitchen remodel - I had expected some pushback on this, but this was rectified to our satisfaction as well, as it was part of the preexisting condition we were unaware of. This policy if OneGuards is a lifesaver.

The OneGuard agent took my call, and scheduled a locksmith to come out quickly and efficiently. The locksmith arrived punctually, and my whole house was re-Keyed with a new, and far more secure key pattern on the key, in a little under an hour. He was kind, informative, and very efficient! I now have five copies of the new key, my house is secure, the locks work more smoothly and the garage remote has been reprogrammed. I am extremely happy with the way OneGuard handled the warranty issue, and found that they were absolutely the right choice for my home service contract.

We purchased our home 1 year ago (17 year old) and we purchased a home warranty through One Guard. I chose them because their service fee charge is a flat 55 per incident, which is pretty good. Overall I am very happy with their service and just recently renewed my contract for a second year. Their customer support is very good and nice to work with. They also schedule service very quickly. I gave them a B on responsiveness for the following reasons: Living in AZ, I feel that during the Summer months , a AC is a requirement (or as you would call it, an emergency issue) Unfortunately, if you AC breaks down on the weekend or outside of business hours, you are going to have to wait for service. Last summer, when we were having issues, One Guard did put us up in a hotel for 1 night. But that was a painful week, waiting for AC service.

I was so excited to contact them and arrange to purchase their "Ultimate" package. This company by the referrals of my friends and the feedback/review gained on Angies list made them very desirable for my needs. When I called the wait time was very minimal and the representative was most courtious to explain the packages and what they entailed. Then when I stated that I wanted a contract with them she proceeded to gt my information and quickly told me they do not service my zip code in Texas...no explanation after that, the politeness was then gone and she was hurried to get me off the phone and on to her next caller. This is terrible business. I really would love to have their services and I am very pleased in their reviews and what they have to offer but since I am not living in one of the affluent areas of Texas I guess I am not a potential customer for their contracts. I have a very nice home in Sherman, Texas and it is situated in a very nice neoghborhood...we are not rich but comfortable in this area. I was quite offended with the shortness from their customer service representative and just do not understand as to why they would advertise that they service the state of Texas when in reality it is just the affluent ares of our beautiful state. I am back to square one in my search for a home warranty company. Very disappointed.

They're very prompt coming out to have my garage door fix. They are professional. I have a contract with them a maximum of $55. In that case it was very good although I am having a little trouble with getting through them on this one.

OneGuard and their contractor Pruitts Plumbing were very efficient at scheduling the service call and completing the repairs. We have had a OneGuard home warranty for about 3 years and it has always been a reliable and easy service when we have needed service done at the home. Over the last three years, we have had repairs on our plumbing, toilets, washer, dryer, and they replaced our Water heater and microwave when they couldn't be repaired. It has been worth every penny.

Noticed mushy spots in the yard so called Warranty company and they sent a service out within 2 days ....repaired a faulty valve in the sprinkler system and was up and running again in no time. Total cost was as published ...$59/service call.

Plumber determined that to repair the tub to code it would require about 1k worth of work. The plumber and OneGuard handled it. The work included having to open up a wall. There was some confusion about who was scheduling the dry wall repair. When I called OneGuard they were friendly helpful and got the work scheduled. I was happy with their work. I was happy with the plumber, the dry wall company and the customer service people from OneGuard. I would recommend them.

It went very well. We have used them for 6 months and haven't had any trouble. They have been very helpful.
