Recently called One guard for an issue with the diverter in my bathtub. The service person came and decided based on my house that I would not want the factory level replacement one guard would cover. He left having never spoken to me as I had my housekeeper at the house at the time. I called into one guard to find out what was happening and they told me that I had decided I didn’t want the factory level replacement to which I immediately told them that was not true... that no one had called me. After a prolonged discussion I asked for an estimate on what the same grade of diverter would cost and was told someone would get back to me. Fast forward 10 days no response so I called in to find out the service writer at One Guard had said I didn’t want service, closed the repair, and had me issued a check. After multiple phone calls One Guard is refusing to re-open the repair and actually fix my diverter. I’ve asked them to listen to the phone calls, I’ve been adamant on every phone call that I did not authorize cashing me a check and I’m still told there’s nothing they can do. Not sure why I pay $1000 a year for a warranty when all they have to do is close out the repairs and never fix anything. I look forward to some kind of response from One Guard as I am planning to post this on every site available. Buyer beware

OneGuard is claiming that internal damage caused by pool water INSIDE A POOL HEATER, is not normal wear and tear. Telling me that the PH levels in the pool were wrong, causing the damage. No proof to back this up, just their unbiased opinion. 🙄 Be aware of how this scam works. They send out their technicians, who rely on OneGuard for call outs. Both followed the company line, claiming pool water leaks in a 13 year old pool heater would not be considered “normal wear and tear”. When I offered to have my pool technician call them and explain why it was normal, they conveniently stated “that they do not take outside opinions into account”. Outstanding! Of course this is all after taking your monthly fee and call out fee. Beware!
