On Point Solar Power

My solar went down for 2 months. I called to ask why they didnt repair it earlier. The manager stated its not our job to monitor the systems. I then asked about a reimbursement and he told me to kick rocks. DONT USE THIS COMPANY !!!

I became a customer with On Point Solar in October 2021. Recently I inquired of On Point Solar if they had a way for me to monitor my own solar/power usage. They informed me there was an app available to me and provided me with access to it. After downloading the app, we noticed that my system was showing no activity. I was informed that this could be normal and that I should wait 24 hours. I waited 72 hours and called back. They quickly sent out a technician who told me that the system had never been "turned on" or functioning correctly. It has been 4 months and there is still no resolution! I have talked to the service/project manager Admir, with no resolution and now no response. I have also had discussions with the COO Adrian, with again no resolution and now, no response. I have called or texted, routinely inquiring what restitution they might be able to offer with no response to date. I strongly encourage/recommend that you do not contract or choose On Point Solar!!

I am writing this review as a previous employee and not as a customer. I was employed by a sales partner of On Point Solar (Impact Energy) and while my time with the company went very well and I successfully sold numerous deals that were installed by On Point, I had some pay discrepancies with my bosses, Jonathon Cohen and Austin Vail at Impact Energy. Because of my issues with Impact Energy I chose to step away from the company, which in turn meant ending my time with On Point Solar. It was a clean split, and there were no issues or hostility between myself and On Point Solar. Well a couple months later I noticed one of my old customers posted a bad review of On Point because of his batteries not coming in a timely manner. In his review, this customer states that Jacob Davidson, one the CEO’s at On Point, told him that I was “fired for false promises”. That is a complete lie, I was the top sales rep at Impact Energy and I pride myself on being honest and forthright. I have been in the solar industry for over 6 years now and I have never had any issues like this whatsoever. I reached out to On Point and they would not connect me to Jacob Davidson after several attempts. I spoke with the co-owner, Daniel Hartzog and explained the situation to him, and asked him why my name is being dragged through the mud after leaving the company on good terms. (By the way, I have text message history of everything regarding this account that shows all battery-related information was given to me by the install coordinators, Matt Hoffman and Admir Sabljic and was then passed along to the customer by me). Dan took zero responsibility, told me that the customer is insane, that it’s no big deal, and began to get very irate and aggressive towards me over the phone. Daniel refused to work towards any resolution and insisted that it was all made up. As a sales rep, I highly recommend staying away from this company. As a potential On Point customer, the BBB reviews say it all… I have held myself to the highest of standards because I am passionate about solar but it is extremely disappointing to hear an installer talk badly about an ex-sales rep rather than take responsibility for their mishaps and hold ups in a customers solar project. I am considering seeking legal guidance as this is defamation

my wife and I were contacted by a sales rep,Kyle Magana, for On point solar. I advised him that we were interested in solar and also batteries to power our Air conditioner, due to losing power in our area often, but it had to make sense monetarily. When the sales rep got the final plans completed He advised me that he had the plans set that included 2 batteries, which would power our air conditioner. He also promised that the job would be completed by June 1 and that our payment would be 265.98. On the contract it showed a new payment after 18 months of 363.19$. When I asked about that he stated on point solar took the tax credit and put it towards the balance to keep payment at promised price and we had to do nothing. This is what solar city did a decade ago at our old house. Within a week solar panels were on the roof and I was told within a month batteries would be installed and we were ahead of schedule. By may i was getting the run around, June told they were in the warehouse, July was told 2 weeks and batteries were not installed until August 25th. I advised the manager at the office in mid august that I felt like they were abandoning my job because the contract was already funded by the loan company, but was continuously told 2 weeks. On August 25th approximately, the batteries were installed when I was at the fire station. The next day when i was home, I spoke with the installers because they needed to know what I wanted hooked up to the batteries. I advised them I was the AC and refrigerator at minimum. They told me that the batteries could not power the air conditioner. I immediately called On Point and after multiple levels of management was able to speak with the owner Jacob after several days of calling. I advised him of the almost 6 months of waiting, poor communication, run around and blatant lying of product capabilities. I then told them that they have not met the contractual agreement made by his sales rep and that I wanted all of their equipment off of my house and that we were done. Jacob told me that Kyle Magana, sales rep, had been fired for false promises, but unfortunately they are only contractors and refused to remove the panels or batteries even though they were not performing as promised. At that point he said the system would be turned on in 2 weeks and I was out of luck.Lastly and most important, they advised me that on point took the tax credits and kept my payment the same. After doing some research i have found that that was yet another lie. That there is no tax credit and that I have to file it, but that I owe them 26,000$ within 18 months or my payment will go up to 363.19, which is far outside what my average monthly bill is. I can use the tax credit to take down my taxable income, unfortunately I have so many medical write offs for my wife's illness that I wont be able to use much of it and it wont be given to me as money to keep the payment down. Approximately 1 month ago the owner told me the I would just "receive" the money from the IRS to pay them, but after further digging I now know that just as his salesmen did, he lied. This company is running an immoral and unethical business and I am not the only one to have this problem when looking through their reviews

Terrible. I ordered solar panels end of March 2021. Got excuses and On Point acted like they were so busy but would fit in my install. Mind you this is costing me $40,000. They installed end of July. I had to call them back twice because a former solar panel foreman as a friend came over and saw it. He said it was AWFUL and would never pass inspection. Loose cables touching the roof, panels not even lined up, metal bent not properly with wires encased. There was panels NOT even secured to the roof. Those couldve flown off in a wind storm. Now it's Sept 16, 2021 and I am still waiting for Inspectors. There is no communication from this company until I have to ask "what's up with my panels?" They had a PM call to argue with me about their process and mistakes. She still couldn't give me a date when this will be completed either. I had cancer and went thru treatments through 2020. This was MY gift to myself and OnPoint has ruined it and created so much stress. I should've have bought myself a new vehicle instead or taken a trip somewhere nice. I have asked for the OWNER to call me to discuss this. This company doesn't seem very legit. It is Sept 16, 2021 and the panels aren't working. My first payment is Oct 1st and I am stuck paying for something that I no longer even want anymore nor works!

It went amazing!! I was a bit iffy on how much money I would actually save through the solar panels, but they turned out perfect. They were punctual and really informed me a lot about solar and all the benefits about all three topics.
