I hired this company for an annual furnace tune-up, and to get a quote for the repair of an EcoBee thermostat that was not receiving any power. They showed up on time and talked me through what needed to be done. but before giving me a quote on getting the work done to get the smart thermostat up and running, they told me they fixed it and charged me $300+ for the repair, not including the cost of the furnace tune-up. I do not think I could have been any clearer about requesting a quote for the cost of getting the thermostat back up and running, but instead, they just did the work and charged me way more than expected. I have insurance that covers this kind of work, and it would have only cost me a $125 deductible to get the work done via my insurance, but I hoped it might cost less than my $125 deductible. So all in all, the work done was good as far as I can tell, but now I am out a lot more than I was expecting, and I feel taken advantage of. I do not think I will be doing business w/ G and R Heating and Air again unless it is an emergency.

service man was very helpful (this was a regular service call) and advised we should repair the furnace before it breaks down on us (it was very loud) so he cleaned everything and ordered the part, the next day it was fixed. customer service was able to grant us 10% military discount and service man was able to apply.

Unfortunately the noise I heard did not come on while the tech was here. Hopefully I donà ¢à  à  t hear it again. The tech was here first thing the next morning. Response was great.
