They were very professional and did a great job. We had them come out again because our pilot light went out. They helped us out and it was again great.

Not well! I called to schedule an inspection and was told that this coupoon only applied to a Service Call and could not be used for the inspection. they did extend the terms of this coupon and said it weould be honored at a future date. I have now lost contact with my coupon.....somewhere in the house....and do not plan on using this company in the future. I beleive the ad was misleading, especially since that was the time of year that many A/C firms were offering specials for an A/C inspection and diagnostic. I did not get what I thought I was paying for!

I was so amazed to get an appt with them in the middle of the summer, much less on a Sunday!!! Their service technician, assessed the problem immediately and w/o trying to upsell me on a new compressor or condenser, hosed out all the debris that was causing my condenser to not work, and replaced only a small fan motor which was reasonably priced and had it all repaired and blowing cold air within an hr. Unbelievable honesty (in a field that has been scrutinized for dishonesty and scamming for yrs) and professionalism! Family owned and operated! We own a business that had the A/C system damaged in the hail storm last yr, and I used them for my business as well, and again, did not overcharge, were efficient in dealing with our insurance company and handled everything professionally and efficiently. I recommend North Valley Mechanical to EVERYONE that needs a/c or heating work done, whether it's for their home or business. Kendra is office mgr and family member and she is incredibly knowlegeable and has the greatest personality in a field that is mostly male dominant, She knows her stuff and makes you smile even over the phone. And when you're in a situation when your air goes out in AZ, smiling is the last thing you want to do. This company deserves 10 stars...... Love them...

I heard about the company on a radio advertisement. I visited the web site to find out more. The web site is excellent. There are headings for answers and information and products and services. The sub-headings are well organized and specific. I was very comfortable in contacting the company after hearing about them on the radio and seeing the web site. The phone call to the company reinforced my confidence. A live person answered and greeted me. The services and options were explained in detail. An appointment was scheduled for the next day. The maintenance agreement was offered, but I went for the tune up to appraise their services. The technician arrived early. He went over the tune up procedures and began the service. After he checked the air handlers, he advised me they were very dirty and would need cleaning and adjustments. Since this was not in the scope of the tune up, he suggested I consider the maintenance agreement which would cover the additional procedures. I told him to sign me up. He contacted the office to let them know extended time would be required for the comprehensive maintenance. An additional appointment would be scheduled. The additional service was completed on 10-31. The technician arrived on time and began work immediately. The air handlers, the drip pans and blowers were cleaned and lubricated. Most of the time was spent on the air handlers. I suspect they were most neglected components. The ac units were cleaned inside and out. The technician was thorough and professional.

When the service man arrived, all he had was a plug-in detector. He said they did not do hardwired detectors. I looked online for the exact same model. The detector he wanted to install was $24.99 at Home Depot. I cancelled the appointment on the spot and received a refund from Angie's List.

Service tech arrived on time. My AC was not kicking and and he was able to determine that my thermostat was faulty. Offered to sell me one, but I chose a DIY approach. Tech was very professional and pleasant to work with. I would recommend them to friends and use again.

The owner - Kirk - came on time and spent quite a bit of time in our very hot attic and on the roof. He explained why our house was not getting cooled and what he felt he could do to fix it. We knew from the beginning that we would need a new air conditioner unit but Kirk also explained that our duct work would also need to be corrected. (an addition had been made to the house without updating the duct work) Kirk promised to get us a detailed estimate by the following day and sure enough we had it in our e-mail the following day as promised. He and his crew came on time (even a little early) on the day that we had scheduled. They spent 3 days working, always came on time, were very professional, cleaned up every day before they left. They finished on time and my house is now nice and cool. I can't say enough about this company. They were fantastic and I would not hesitate to to recommend them to family and friends.

Overall, they responded as scheduled and seemed to know what they were doing. He did replace two wires on the heat pump, which he showed us were frayed, but he did not fix the problem.

They were prompt, did a lot of work to insure everything ran right and found problems that were not part of the originol call

The estimator seemed like a nice person, but he did not follow up with his office to make sure they gave us an estimate.

For the second time in a year, this company responded the same day despite high-demand extreme weather events, and performed excellent work. I don't know what their regular rates would be, as the work is covered by my home warranty, but they have done the fastest, most responsive repairs of any contractors I have ever hired. The first problem was an unusual one requiring careful diagnosis, for which they did not have the part on the truck. Nevertheless, it was completely repaired in under 24 hours. The second problem should not have occurred at all: the company we paid to do a routine seasonal maintenance check months before did no work, but passed it. Each time, NVM techs checked filters etc. to make sure no other problems were imminent. Everyone I've dealt with in this company has been competent, professional, proactive and friendly. I would recommend or use them again without hesitation. One thing for the owner: I realize those deep blue logo tees look good and don't show dirt, but these guys work all day in the Phoenix sun?get 'em a lighter color!

Shortly after notifying my home warranty service company of a problem with my air conditioner, I was contacted by North Valley Mechanical (Kendra) to set up an appointment. Kendra was professional and exceptionally courteous on the phone. She quickly set up an appointment and patiently took the time to ensure that she had all necessary details about the issue. The technician, Shaun Rumsey, arrived promptly within the two-hour scheduling window (he was actually a few minutes early). Shaun introduced himself to me and listened intently while I explained the issues I was having with my air conditioner. He asked several questions, was quite thoughtful in evaluating my answers, and the exchange gave me the utmost confidence that he absolutely understood the problem. I spent quite a bit of time with Shaun watching him evaluate and carefully examine both the outside components (compressor, etc.) and the inside components (attic air handler, etc.). I asked him many questions to which he patiently explained what he was doing and what his ongoing findings were. I never got the impression he was bothered by my presence and my persistent questions. On the contrary, he seemed eager to explain everything he was doing. Shaun's technical expertise was obvious and was complemented by an extremely professional approach to his work and positive "get the job done right" attitude. There was no question in my mind that he was proud of the quality of his work and totally confident that he could resolve the problem with my A/C. Shaun's workmanship, professional competence and customer skills are a credit to the company. I subsequently called the owner of North Valley Mechanical specifically to advise him of how satisfied I was with Shaun's work. Once again, I was impressed with the professional atmosphere and mindset that had already been revealed in my earlier interactions with the company. I would not hesitate to use North Valley Mechanical in the future and will certainly recommend them to my friends and colleagues. This impressive company stands out as one of the best I have ever worked with.

They were excellent. It was pretty easy to get them to come out, and they were on time. I would rate them highly and would use them again in the future if necessary.

Kirk came to the house (at the time scheduled), reviewed the existing conditions, discussed the options available and promised to email a proposal. The proposal was emailed when promised. They resent the proposal with a few items I wanted clarified within a day at a price that was reasonable. The workers showed up for the installation exactly when they said that would and proceeded to remove the existing equipment and install the new equipment. There was only one minor hitch with the furnace flue installation, but it fixed before it could become a problem. The workers were on time, competent and professional and provided a neat, clean installation. On the whole, it was a very favorable experience.

When it's July in Phoenix it's never good news to hear that you need to replace your A/C unit. North Valley Mechanical was fantastic. We learned that we needed to replace our heatpump unit on a Tuesday evening. On Wednesday and Thursday we got bids from several companies, large and small. We knew we wanted to take advantage of rebates offered by our electric company so needed to work with someone who was on their approved contractor list. North Valley Mechanical was able to come to our home to assess the project the same day that we contacted them. The next morning, I had a detailed bid for the work. Their bid was the lowest but we were also impressed by the professionalism and technical knowledge that they displayed. Two days later, the work was completed. It's only been a few weeks but we're thrilled with the new unit. The whole house is more comfortable. Just looking at how it's mounted on the roof we can tell that they spent alot of time to ensure that the installation was done well. In addition to installing the new unit, at no cost, they also repaired a long-standing runoff problem that we've had with our second unit. If you are looking for a responsive AC contractor who is knowledgeable and professional look no further. North Valley Mechanical was exceptional.

Very well, they didn't try to sell us things we didn't need. And the air conditioner is working great.

I've used them for years and they provide great service. They have come twice. They were good. They were on time and did the work. They are not the cheapest, but you pay for what you get.

Earlier this year when a new heat-pump was installed, I was told that duct work was rusted-out and needed to be replaced; it was estimated to take two weeks or more to complete. I was attracted to North Valley Mechanical by their radio ads in which said they were environmentally conscious and could improve the efficiency of my heating and cooling. The owner, Kirk Bushco, came to inspect and gave an estimate. When we were ready, his crew of three workers came, and in three days completed a difficult and messy job. They were courteous, careful in cleaning up; they made the roof leak-proof, and went out of their way to make it cool in our home during the project. We went from running the AC thermostat at 72 degrees (augmented with fans in every room) to running a thermostat at 78 to 80! I'm so happy with their work that I had to write this review now, before I find out how much I'm saving on my utility bills! Anybody need fans? I've got some I don't need anymore!

WE HAD OUR CEILING FALL IN ONE NIGHT. I CALLED THE WARRANTY COMPANY, AND THEY SENT OUT NORTH VALLEY MECHANICAL. THEY DISCOVERED THAT THE BUILDER OF OUR HOME PUT IN UNDERSIZED DRAIN PANS FOR THE UNITS, AND DIDN'T HOOK UP THE CONDENSATION TRAPS PROPERLY. OTHER COMPANIES HAD BEEN OUT TO DO SERVICE ON A/C, BUT IT TOOK THESE GUYS TO TELL ME ABOUT THESE PROBLEMS. DAMAGE COULD HAVE BEEN AVERTED IF OTHER COMPANIES HAD BEEN AS OBSERVANT.
