Kirk arrived on time and was very professional. While servicing one of the fireplaces, he found a gas leak and sealed it at no charge. Their price is very competitive and their quality of work is outstanding. I highly recommend them.

Technician provided quote on initial visit; when the work was being done, he explained everything he was going to do. Project was on time and on budget.

The serviceman arrived as per the appointment time and went right to work. He was efficient and thorough. I was pleased with the way he informed me about the condition of the system ( nothing wrong and no suggested add-ons) . This is the second time I have employed the services of NVM and I will use them again. They do much more than just HVAC work and are professionals In every respect.

While three other contractors said I needed to replace my a/c system (from $5000-$8000), this contractor said my system was working well and should last another 5 years, at least. So, it cost me $100 instead of $5-8,000.) North Valley is very competent and honest. I'd recommend them highly.

Kirk, the owner, not only truly cares about his own family owned business and family, but treats you as such. He found something that could be a problem that the last guy didn't catch, and super smart and knowledgeable. They came HIGHLY recommended, and I'd refer them to anyone, Kirk's your guy for anything like that!!

My A/C unit was running constantly in a new home I purchased. I found north valley mechanical through the Fidelity Home Warranty that came with the house purchase. I was skeptical that any provider from a home warranty company would be good... way too much poor feedback on Yelp and Angie's List about home warranty programs... Well, these guys were very good. The technician was thorough, he methodically troubleshot and repaired the a/c unit. He impressed me that he was there to make sure the job was done well. I left the dreaded home warranty process with a smile and an air conditioner that works great.

Everything went well. The tech was on time and obviously knew his business. He admitted the special they offered was a way to get a foot in the door for future HVAC or fireplace needs. No problem there. The guy was very professional and did a thorough job.

They arrived on time and did a very nice job. The technician disassembled the fireplace and identified a section of the vent that had come apart. This was causing the sensor in the fireplace to turn off the flame when the CO2 levels got too high. Once this repair was made, he completely cleaned the inside of the fireplace---including the inside of the glass. They added more of the filaments to the fireplace and make it look better then it had looked in years. I would definitely use this company again for any fireplace related needs.

Kirk is very professional and friendly. He not only fixed the issue quickly but also cleaned up the fireplaces for us. He is great!

Kirk was on time and attentive, gave me good quality service for the price and made sure I was satisfied and answered all questions prior to leaving. Highly recommend for any fireplace or AC services needed.

Kirk was very nice & explained everything he was doing. When he was finished in the attic, he even vacuumed my carpets to clean up any insulation that had fallen down.

Over the holiday weekend, one of our AC units went out, so I called the company on Monday morning (July 8, 2013). They said they would have a technician over between 4pm and 7pm. I received a call from David shortly after 4pm saying he was on his way. He checked out the AC unit, and after running some tests, determined it was a bad capacitor. He had replacement parts in his vehicle and had the unit back up and running in roughly an hour after he arrived. We've had David over before when our other unit had problems. He is always able to let us know what the problem is, without getting too technical, has gotten the job done in record time and is always pleasant. Their number is in my phone, I don't even bother calling anyone else.

Very responsive. Can get a hold of the owner even. Very available and punctual. Very accessible. And they did very good.

When it comes to responsible and honest companies, this one is tops on my list. We have used North Valley Mechanical for several years and they have been the best company, I have ever had to rely on, for any service in my home. You can trust that they will solve the problem and you don't have to worry about whether or not you are paying for something you don't need. The first time they serviced my air conditioning unit the serviceman told me he would investigate whether or not my unit still had a warranty....and it did!!! His proactive response saved me money and I didn't even know there was a warranty.

I pretty much summed it up above. Our experience was excellent in terms of service provided and value. We have signed up for continued servicing of our HVAC unit. All Do's, no don'ts.

Service provider was very professional, but was interested in selling us more service. He gave us a price for these things which we felt were quite pricey since everything was working well at that time.

The contractor provided an annual inspection I had contracting for previously. The technician was thorough and professional in his work. and he answered all of my inquiries thoroughly and with courtesy . I would use their services again in the future and recommend them to others as well.

Fireplace needed to be almost completely disassembled to access and replace the burned-out component. A photo was taken to insure that the artificial logs were re-installed in correct configuration. He even volunteered to clean the large glass front, and did so before re-assembling everything. Reasonable billing based on being on-site for 2-1/4 hours.

We had already cleaned out the old logs and swept the fireplace clean when the serviceman arrived. He verified the gas supply was safe, and began setting up the fireplace. We needed to purchased some new materials and he installed them. He took time to give us a a beautiful imitation fire with glowing embers and nice flame distribution.

The tech was on time and personable. He pointing out a couple of things that will have to be done in the future but said my unit was operating just fine. He also seemed to be very knowledgeable about my particular unit.
