Picked this company after interviewing 3 contractors. He had the best price for the quality I was looking for. Was always on time with our pre-meetings. Available to answer all questions at any time of the day. Offered guarantee. Has many years experience and I felt safe with his suggestions knowing he knew what he was talking about. Jeff explained things so I could understand them and was always friendly and made time to walk the yard and explain the process multiple times. His customer service was awesome and I really appreciated that. They even did a couple of little things for me (at no extra charge) that were out of the scope of drip system install. His workers were on time and answered questions and asked me questions frequently, there was good communication. I felt they did exactly what I needed and never pressured me to do extras that would cost more. I am very picky about good customer service and this company went above and beyond - I felt I was treated with respect and a valued customer. Jeff communicated with me via phone, text and email pre, post and during the job and even started the job a couple of days prior to expected start date. I would use this company again and refer him to my family and friends. Actually, he has done a job for a family member already, who seems pleased with the work.
Description of Work: Installed all new drip system, 3 zones, front and back yard of my home.

At first all was going well in the est. phase and the start date then all went down hill from there. The supervisor was rarely there to make sure all was being done correctly. At one point the landscapers ate lunch and left all the chicken bones laying in my lawn, chairs, in shoes, and storage container causing a choking hazard for my dogs so I cleaned it all up. The next day the landscapers kept sitting in their wheel barrels talking on their cell phones. The rock was left in the road for two days to which I had to finish loading the rock and putting it in the backyard only to be yelled at in such a hostile tone "well nobody asked you to do it!" I had no choice with an HOA and no one else doing it so of course I moved the rock. What made it worse is the wrong rock was used and we were given all kinds of excuses and told it was the rock I ordered. I had to go to the rock quarry the next morning to prove it was not the correct item. I knew they used the wrong rock and after finding my original rock the Owner finally spoke with us and offered to bring back another type to make the walk way. They used such a small amount it has almost washed away. The amount of rock in the est. was not the amount used total for the back yard leaving me short. A big issue for us was to make sure the landscaping would allow for proper water drainage during monsoon season and we were assured that would not be an issue; however, the drainage was not done correctly and the first rain flooded the backyard. I believe this has caused issues with the cement which now has cracks that should not have happened were the landscaping done properly for drainage and rebar used in the cement to adjust for the shifting. My husband kept asking for rebar in the foundation to which the supervisor insisted was a waste of time explaining how different it is living in the West compared to where we were from and rebar was unnecessary. We had a basketball court at a previous home, in Arizona, that rebar was used and never had a problem but he still insisted it was unnecessary, it was to a point where he was annoyed we were even asking. Now we have cracks in the cement that could have been avoided were the rebar used. Marks on the cement the supervisor said would come off did not. I feel they started to take short cuts to make up for shortages. They used some of our material (stepping stones) but then at the end was mad because they did not charge me for labor to which I feel they did. Not only did they, I had to re-lay several steps and others have cracked and will need replaced. When the trees showed up they were not the trees I choose but smaller trees with dying leaves so the Owner said "if you don't want these trees I can take them with me and you can go pick some out tomorrow morning. I will deduct the cost of your trees from the bill." (This was said to us both and agreed on while standing at the owners truck). That seemed fair, so we agreed and when it came time to pay, I deducted the cost of my trees from the bill as the Owner instructed me to and his nephew threw a child's fit in the driveway. He yelled and threw his arms around, it was so embarrassing! I ended up paying the full amount just to get him to leave. The Owner NEVER did deduct the amount promised from my bill to this day. This was a horrible experience and so surprising because the supervisor seemed so nice until I started having problems then as if a light switch flipped both the owner and supervisor were impatient, rude, and in a hurry to be done whether the job was satisfactory or not. We are still having issues and continue to fix them on our own.
