Description of Work: Called him during normal business hours to do some welding. Got a recorded message that included an email address. Sent an email. No response. Called again two days later. Again, recording. Gave up.

+ 0 moreCalled Adrian at MTA told him my problem, he told me to bring it in and they would take care of it. I took the car over and they had the pipe welded in one day. People are very nice and a great job for a great price

+ -1 moreHe was very nice looking and neatly dressed. He did arrive 10 minutes late, but it was okay. He came out to the house but he was booked until September 1st. If I can't find a provider to come out sooner, I will be contacting him.

+ 1 moreI had several estimates and chose MTA not because they were the cheapest - which they were, by far - but because Adrian was very responsive, knowledgeable, and professional. Adrian personal;l;y brought the crew, and left them to do the work on their own. They were neat, polite, and professional. They were on time and did the work to perfection. We left town a few minutes after they arrived to do the work, and found it completed on our return 3 days later. One would never have known they were there. MTA are craftsmen I recommend without reservation.
Description of Work: Cut down an existing, in place 100 foot Steel view fence [ten 10 foot panels] from the standard 60" to 24". This entailed cutting down the fence - some 280 frame and newel pieces - and welding a top piece back on to finish the fence.

+ -1 moreCost was low, the workmanship appears to be excellent quality, and he left me no cleanup. (I'm not really qualified to evaluate welding, but it looks thorough and neat, feels solid.) If I ever need any other welding done, I will call him without hesitation.
Description of Work: The weld on the t of our backyard gate latch broke. We attempted to fix it with two different commercial "liquid metal" products, but neither worked for more than a few days. A gate-manufacturing company said our gate would probably cost about $600 to replace and recommended MTA instead. Adrian came as soon as his schedule allowed, about two or three days. He arrived on time with everything he needed in his truck. Set-up and repair took about ten minutes. This gate is used multiple times every day and is often slammed shut by high winds; the latch still feels better than new. Since he was there with his portable equipment set up I asked about repairs to a larger RV gate. He told me that, although bent slightly from having been hit. If I wanted the work done for cosmetic reasons he could perform it, but the tolerances were still well within limits and there was no functional reason to do anything at this point. Adrian could have made more money from me by doing this more complicated repair as well, but I took his advice!

+ -1 moreHe did a very nice job of putting reinforcements to stop the buckling, and the garage door has been working great ever since (the alternative to this would have been replacing the garage door, which given our garage configuration, would have cost us some 1500$). I thought he was very reasonably priced (considering that the garage repair guys took 65$ to just "recommend" welding, while Adrian took 75$ to do the work!). Needless to say, I am very happy with Adrian's/MTA's service and hope that if I have repair jobs, they are more of the welding kind ;-) I think this one recommendation more than made up for my Angie's list subscription.
Description of Work: Our old one-piece garage door was buckling in the middle and a garage door repair guy recommended that I get it welded with reinforcements. I called MTA welding based on Angie's list recommendation. Adrian came by at lunch time, took a look and gave me an estimate for 75$ and came back the next day evening and completed the job.

+ -1 moreCalled the company, Adrian answered on the 3rd ring. He said he would like to come out to give me a quote, when I was available. We settled on the coming Friday at 12:00. He showed up at 12:00 that Friday and gave me a great quote. He was quick, efficient, professional, fastidious and very polite. We then settled on the day he would come to do the job. 1 week prior to his arrival he sent me an advanced notice reminding me of our job. They arrived on the day and time he said he would. They did a great job on my fence! MTA Welding is one of the best service providers I have ever used, and I have used a lot of them.
Description of Work: Repaired rusted out and broken areas on our 150 ft wrought iron fence. They then painted the entire thing, and some areas were very difficult to weld and paint.

+ -1 moreThe experience was awesome. I called Adrian first thing in the morning and he was able to come out and take a look at the job before noon. He called me at work with a quote of $85 and that's exactly what he charged. The welds look really good. With a fresh coat of paint, it looks like we have an (almost) new gate. Adrian was very professional, very reasonably priced, and very skilled at his work.
Description of Work: The gate on our pool fence was completely rusted out at the bottom corner. Adrian cut off the old bottom piece and replaced it with a new piece of metal. He also had to weld in a small piece on the side of the gate. He came out to our house and did the work on-site so we did not have to take down the gate and haul it in.

+ -1 moreI could have had him come to my house for more money; however he is just off I-17 at Thomas. We made an appt. to meet at 3pm Sat. and he was there when I arrived. One problem was easy. The other problem required removing pieces that were not clearly removable. He figured it out and welded the second problem.
Description of Work: Welded problems on two castered, swivel dinette chairs.

+ -1 moreIt went very well. Adrian came to my home and completed the work in about a half hour. The heater bundle was put back in place and there are no more leaks. If I had to order a new heater bundle it would have cost me one thousand dollars so this saved me a lot of money.
Description of Work: A couple of bolts that were welded to my pool/spa heater bundle broke loose causing it to leak from the bundle header. I bought two new galvanized bolts from a home improvement store. I had the broken off pieces of the old bolts removed from the holes and the new bolts welded in place.

+ -1 moreI called M.T.A. this morning to get a quote for my chair base that had broken. Adrian said they could stop by to look at it. I asked where they were located and he said 31st avenue, but that he had another job to do in Mesa so that he would be in the East Valley. I asked him for a rough estimate because I was worried about the driving expenses, but he said it would only be about $25! He stopped by a few hours later and did the repair quickly.
Description of Work: Adrian and his worker welded a wrought iron lawn chair base. There were several original manufacturer welds that had broken and needed to be fixed. The welding looks good and was done quickly, on site at my home. They used a portable welder attached to their truck.
