Moving Team Six LLC

Based on the recommendation from a friend, I hired Moving Team Six to help me move the furniture in my home and I would not recommend them to anyone else. I will say that the crew was nice and overall professional. However, as one of the movers was taking apart the bed in the master bedroom, he told me the screws to the slats were stripped and that I needed to go to a hardware store to get more right away or they could not put the bed together again at the new house. I did as they asked, and when I returned from the hardware store, he told me that when he laid the side rail of the bed on the floor, the carpet peeled off a little bit of the paint on the side of the bed. They had already packed it up, so I couldn't see it until I got to a new house. He also pointed out that two of the metal bolts that hold the footboard to the bed were missing, and it must have been the movers that moved me into that home eight years ago that lost them. With the bolts, the footboard would sit flush. When we got to the new house, and I saw the bed, it wasn't just a little bit of paint; it was a one-foot-long piece of wood that had been gouged out of the side! I was not at all pleased and expressed that to the movers. I asked the foreman if he had any paint or filler to fix it, and he said he didn't. He didn't carry it on the truck anymore because it got too messy. I also noticed two sides of my wooden office filing cabinet had taken some damage, but the bed was my main concern. At the end of the move, the total came to well over $2k for a move 45 minutes away. When the foreman came in to give me the final bill, he told me that to make up for the damage to the bed and the filing cabinet, they would take $20 off my bill. I thought it was a joke. When I called the office the next day, the man who answered, Adam, said he would let the owners know and see what he could do. In the meantime, I returned to clean the old house and found one of the metal bolts for the footboard that Moving Team Six had lost and tried to blame on a previous mover. After the weekend, Adam got back to me and told me the Moving Team Six handyman would contact me to fix the bed. He arrived in a white work truck with no business logo or decal but two giant Trump for President flags, one attached to each side of the cab, parked in front of my house. Having just moved into the neighborhood, I was appalled. The truck had no indicator that it belonged to a contractor or any business, and it was sitting in front of my home for my new neighbors to see and associate with me. I will give the contractor credit for moving his truck when I asked him nicely and for being pleasant to deal with, but to show up and broadcast his politics instead of his business at my home was unwelcome. I will give the handyman credit, he did a good job making the bed look presentable. But all in all, the $20 'discount" did not make up for the effort I had to go through to fight to have my furniture repaired and politics questioned. The owners should have reached out or sent a survey asking how I thought the move went. All I got was an email asking me to refer them business. I would not recommend Moving Team Six based on my experience.

Moving Team Six is absolutely fantastic. They arrived early, all the guys were friendly, and they were extremely efficient. They took great care in wrapping our furniture and handling all our items and boxes. We had zero damage to our belongings or our houses. JT, one of the co-owners, stopped by just to check on how everything was going and to make sure we were happy. We are very pleased with our experience with Moving Team Six from receiving a quote all the way through the last box being unloaded. I reluctantly hired movers after hearing horror stories about some of the experiences that my friends have had. I am so glad that I didn't listen to them. Finding Moving Team Six on Angie's List was the best thing I could have done. They showed up on time, were very professional, and worked quickly. They had me out of my apartment and into my house in less than 2 hours and the house was a 30 minute drive. Words cannot express the value of the service that they provided. I only used them to move furniture and boxes. I had everything packed up myself but they do offer additional services. They did not push me for any services that I did not need. I will certainly be recommending this company to my friends and family.

They were great! Came out promptly with very little notice... and they were very personable and offered a good price.

It went amazingly! I rarely take the time to write reviews but I liked the guys so much that showed up (Ray and Andy) that I had to. We called hoping to get someone to come out last minute... they were there by 3:30pm,.. smiles on and very nice. They moved our stuff quickly, efficiently and, honestly, were the nicest people ever! Ray (a young military vet) and Adam and I talked about kids, family and all sorts of crazy stuff without ever slowing down the move. They seemed to really enjoy their jobs and I will, without hesitation, hire them again if I ever need any movers...I've already referred them to a friend who's planning a move. No overcharging. No games.

I LOVE these guys! If you need any type of moving service, these are your guys. They were prompt, courteous and friendly. I as very apprehensive about hiring a moving company, simply because I did not want my furniture to be dinged. But lo and behold, not one piece damaged by these guys! They were wonderful. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a company to help them move.

Moving Team Six was very easy and pleasurable to work with. All of the movers were very polite, careful with our belongings and were experienced. All the details of our move were very last second and they worked with us and made everything happen smoothly. I will use this company if I ever need moving needs and I will always recommend them to others looking for movers!
