 + -1 moreI plan to go to the police. In the middle of all this, my husband who is a quadraplegic---ended up in the hospital--------but I will and plan to fill out a police report. Description of Work: The Mini Upholstery picked up my couch covers and returned them as promised---very nice job. Then they told me they could re-cover my lawn furniture . They picked up my two very expensive Samsonite lawn swivel chairs in addition to two Samsonite chaise lounge chairs and asked for a deposit of $650.00 for fabric. somehow, I was so stupid and trusting as to give her my two chairs in addition to the $650.00. Despite many many phone calls and excuses---no chairs. Now, Rosa hangs up on me or refused to answer my calls.

 + -1 moreShe picked it up, and took it to her shop. She must have been keeping it outside, because it is very faded. I kept calling her to find the status of the project, and she would not call us back. She would answer sometimes, and say that she would get back to me, but then she would not. I finally had to take her to small claims court, to get my loveseat back. I did get it back, but nothing had been done in that 9 month span.
Description of Work: I took my loveseat, which I inherited from my grandmother, in to her last June to be reupholstered.

Description of Work: Mimi upholstery is a mom and pop operation (Elva and Jesus Cardenas). Their house/shop is just north of Van Buren on 20th Ave. Their daughter, Rosa Cardenas, seems to the front office contact (602)579-8725 or rsnglccardenasd@yahoo.com. My wife and I just bought a small travel trailer and needed to have six seat cushions ranging from 2' to 5' long reupholstered. Calls to several upholstery shops proved unsatisfactory - couldn't be bothered or quoted a long wait time. We took the cushions down to Elva's house on Monday, she quoted a price of $200 (which seemed reasonable) and suggested we pick out a fabric at H&S Fabric, 35th Ave. just south of I-10 Fwy. We purchased seven yards of red wear resistant fabric for $117 and delivered it to Elva. She called Thurs night that the cushions were finished and we picked them up Friday morning. The cushions, complete with naugahide backing were beautifully done. Although we dropped off and picked up the cushions, I noticed a panel truck out front which I suspect could be used to pick up and deliver reupholstered furniture. You might verify that. I can't really compare prices with other upholstery firms but I suspect we got a good deal. It was fun using my high school spanish with Elva although she speaks passable english. I would definitely recommend this little outfit.
