Thursday at 11 the Lyons Roofer came and replaced the tile within about 5 minutes. Was a very professional and courteous, just as each and every person I've dealt with has been.

Well done! They were timely, efficient and their foreman kept on top of the whole thing. I have no complaints at all. I would use them again.

Courteous on phone, and estimator arrived as promised and gave me an estimate to take care of roof leak. I ordered the work which was to be done a week or so later. Worker showed up as promised and did the work. First rain after repair, roof leaked worse than before, in the same spot. Company was very responsive and sent another roofer out, Mike, I believe. He said that the previous worker had done something improperly and that he was no longer with the company. Mike removed some tiles and repaired the problem again, but this time it was fine. No leaks at all. Mike was great, and apologized for the problem and said that Johnny from the office would send me a revised warranty to run from the time of the second visit. Never heard from her, and we still have stains on ceiling where we had the second leak. Overall, I think this is a good company, but this job did not go well and they failed to follow up after the second visit.

All in all, it went very smoothly and I was able to solve multiple problems thanks to Earl and his willingness to go the extra mile. I wasn't just another roof job to get done. He took the time to understand what my overall problem was, and helped me solve all of it. I had a quote from another roofing contractor. The guy was kind of arrogant and and not all that helpful. He asked who else I had gotten a quote from and I mentioned Lyons. He got worried right there and started bad mouthing them. His quote was for $2,000 more than Lyons and didn't include taking out the chimney, he essentially told me that wasn't something they dealt with and I would have to figure that out. Contrast that to Earl from Lyons, who included taking out my chimney and figured out how to get the water to drain from the roof and the yard properly, which had been a big problem also. The job itself was done professionally, on time and within the quote. What more could you ask for? I had had a really bad experience with another roofing company a few years ago when they repaired a leak, so I was very, very leery. I couldn't have had a better experience.

The salesman started off with an obviously rehearsed speech about how this was the best company he's ever worked for and how honest they are, what great quality of work etc. None of it was believable; Paris Hilton is a better actor. Then he said that he could tell I wanted to get to work so he'd get right to the point and proceeded to tell me about how the company is endorsed by some radio program. Who cares? After all that, he failed to tell me how much it would cost to replace wood, if necessary, telling me he skipped that because he didn't think I would think that was important. I got so tired of his condescending attitude, I finally just told him I'd think about his quote so he'd leave. He started to leave, turned around and asked me if the problem was that they didn't have shingles that matched the color already on my roof. WHAT?!?? I couldn't care less about the color of the shingles and if this jerk had been paying attention to anything I'd said instead of playing to his stereotypes of women, he wouldn't have lost this customer (and who knows how many others). Epic fail.

No complaints or even any nits to pick. I was most impressed by how tidy they left the work site every day. They found several sections of our plywood that were rotten and recommended replacing, which we did so we took on a little more cost than the original estimate. But if it's rotten I'd rather know and get it fixed. It did take them a little while to get started as it was February and rainy and they had many jobs backed up. Once they started they finished within 1 week.

From calling for a bid on my roof to getting it, happen very quickly. Work was scheduled for approx. 2 weeks later. I was told they would be out on Monday morning. Monday & Tuesday came and went, no one showed and no phone call. Finally on Wednesday afternoon someone showed up. Once they got started they completed the job in a few days. I never got to speak to anyone on the job, but the office personnel, were very courteous and personable. I am thrilled with my "overlay", however I do recommend whenever you get work like this done, no matter who does it, ask for an itemized bid.

Lyons Roofing was very professional. I delayed having the work done, until the rainy monsoon season was over, and they accommodated that. They even said that they would do any repairs needed in the interim. Fortunately, none were needed. They did the job over two days. The first was removal, the second was installation of the new roof. The roof looks really nice, and I have now gone through a winter rain season, with no problems. I am satisfied. The only issue I had was with the clean up, but that was quite minor. Overall, it was a pleasant experience.

They were very professional. We called an estimator, who arrived punctually. He was very nice. He recommended that we not replace the roof, as it did not look like it was going to leak. He gave us estimates in case we decided to replace it anyway. Their estimate was right in the middle of all the estimates. Their customer service department followed up with us and was very professional. We went with another company because we needed a lower bid, but would have been very comfortable with Lyons.

It is an extensive operation and Lyons completed the job in two days. At the end of the first day, they cleaned up so well, it was impossible to tell that work was being done if you didn't see the tiles stacked on the rooftop. The quote was very reasonable - seeming even more so after the work was done. One piece of plywood needed replacement and that charge was additional, but they told me before the work began that it was a possibility. Everyone I dealt with at Lyons was pleasant and professional. It was worth every penny and I would absolutely recommend them to anyone who needs roofing work.

Our 11 year old tile roof was leaking in 3 places. Due to poor workmanship by the previous roofer, and to the tiles being no longer available, we had to replace the entire roof. Lyons workers discovered the original 30 year old underlayment had been left on 11 years ago by another company, who had replaced the roof due to storm damage while we were assigned to Vance AFB, OK. Lyons scraped the roof clean, put on new underlayment and tiles, and built a proper sized cricket around our chimney (which had leaked constantly since we purchased the house in '93) despite 5 roofing repairs by the other company. Should be noted the fireplace has not leaked after 2 rains since. We were told of the schedule and kept informed of the progress and timetable on a daily basis. Workers were efficient and courteous. Final clean up was a little slow. Workers sent to clean Sola Tubes misaligned them, but Lyons had someone out to fix them within 2 hours of my complaint call.

We called the office staff to arrange an estimate on November 9th. The staff were very helpful and arranged for Chris to come out on November 15. He was right on time, assessed the problem, and wrote up an estimate. We approved the work, and were told that repairs were about 2 weeks out. Chris covered the holes with plastic in case it rained. The next day, November 16, Chris called to say that he had time to fix the roof that day. He had taken a piece of single to try to match it up (the shingles used on our roof are no longer being made). The job was done quickly, and efficiently, with no disruption to our day. The new shingles match well enough that I can't notice the repair from the ground. All this in only a week, and our problem is solved!

I had been told that getting a roofer after the storm of July 25, 2006, was going to take quite a while, as there were a large number of homes with roof damage throughout the area. However, I went to Rosie's on the House website and got a couple names. Lyons called me back right away. I had a free estimate by August 5 and the repair was completed on August 17th. They were excellent and were able to find matching tiles, even though the original tiles had been discontinued.

Workers were always on time, did a good job of keeping me informed of their progress and of any problems encountered during their work. They identified and showed me rotted plywood and facial board. Contacted their wood guy, and he came out and replaced rotted wood for a reasonable sum. I'm sure some roofers would have just laid felt over the bad wood and not told the customer about it. Was very satisfied with Lyons work and communication during the project. Would recommend Lyons for roofing, and would use them again if needed. Two of my neighbors have since contacted and used Lyons, and they said they also were satisfied with their work.

OFFICE STAFF WAS GOOD ON KEEPING US UPDATED ON WHEN JOB WOULD START, BUT ONCE JOB WAS STARTED, WE WERE UNHAPPY. WERE TOLD THAT WE'D KNOW ROOFERS WERE LYONS EMPLOYEES, TRAINED BY LYONS, BECAUSE THE WOULD WEAR LYONS T-SHIRTS. THE GUYS WHO WORKED ON OUR ROOF LOOKED LIKE DAY-LABORERS. WE RARELY SAW SUPERVISOR TYPES ON OUR PROPERTY. WE HAD TO CALL SEVERAL TIMES TO GET LITTER PICKED UP AND/OR HAULED OFF. AFTER FINAL CLEAN UP, STILL FOUND TWO NAILS IN DRIVEWAY. ROOF IS PROBABLY FINE, BUT EXPERIENCE WAS AGGRAVATING.

VERY PROFESSIONAL APPROACH, WITH EXCELLENT COMMUNICATIONS REGARDING JOB START DATE, STATUS, ETC. YARD CLEAN UP WAS EXCELLENT, WITH NO DAMAGE DONE TO LANDSCAPING.

THE ROOFER WAS ON TIME, VERY POLITE AND HELPFUL. HE ALSO GAVE ME ADVICE ON WHAT TO DO ABOUT ANOTHER PROBLEM I HAVE. AND HE LOVED MY DOG. HE HAS CHIHUAHUAS TOO.

LYONS ROOFING RESPONDED TO MY REQUEST FOR AN ESTIMATE IN A TIMELY FASHION AND DID THE WORK THEY SAID THEY WOULD. THEIR WORK HAS A LIMITED 5 YEAR WARRANTY. LYONS ROOFING IS A 'ROSIE ON THE HOUSE' CONTRACTOR.
